Last time I checked, I lived in the state of Arizona and not the state of California I’m not paying $.10 for a plastic bag. You’re already charging $.25 on your original one dollar listing price. I don’t feel it’s deemed necessary to have the consumer cover a portion of your Inventory cost on bags. So I guess the next time I go into a dollar tree I’m just going to take a random item to Recover the cost of being forced charged a bag fee.

Self checkout helps with the process of being in and out, then allows shorter lines. The problem we face as customer is shortage of employees.

I was writing to see what priorities are here. One cashier with two other employees putting stuff away. The line was all the way mid isle. I watch 3 to 4 guest ,set their stuff down, and walk out. It makes sense why there is so much scattered around.Cuz the customers are leaving it where ever. And walking out, wish you guys the best of luck.

By far the saddest experience, there was young girl working the register upon my visit. While waiting in a yet long line, I had to use the restroom so I went to look for one (there isn’t) but I heard some woman talking in the back room. I thought to myself “those can’t be employees?” I understand a lot of places are understaffed, thus one person on a register. After about another 10 minutes in line and the woman behind me saying she’s called for help THREE times I’m like OH, so that had to be employees talking in the back. I go back there and simply say “excuse me are you employees?” The conversation stopped, no answer I continued “well if you are there’s a line of 20+people and the girl has called for help I’m sure she’d appreciate it.” Two woman (who must be a supervisor?) come scrambling out within a few minutes. One of them making rude remark to the young girl at the register “why didn’t you call” she did, and by this time it was the 4th time. Her face was honestly heart breaking, she handled the situation so well. But as I’m sure it won’t ever be spoken about or maybe it’s an often thing, I wrote this in honor of how poorly I seen her treated and whether she knows it or how not okay it was. Literally 0/10.

Love this store. Tell security guard to stop harassing elderly disabled people by following them out to cars. It is legal to leave placard on dashboard!!

Re train your cashiers please. Tell them to ask for help when the line is full and with carts as seen in orientation video. They should be greeting all customers but understandable if they don’t however, that energy that should be reserved for a warm and welcoming greeting should not be saved for frustration when cashier doesn’t know how to deal with a long line. Manager should be more than willing to help when summoned. It’s a cashier job you ring people up help them here and there and send them on their way. You’re paid by the hour not the customer and nobody is yelling at you just confused as to why you’re being rude to every customer. I worked at dollar tree it gets tough not so tough that you display the message you don’t want to be there at all. Who wants to be at work no one but here we all are. Fix it or find a better job

Seriously rude employees. I don't need a finger shaken at me with some worker saying no no no., when I asked if there was a cart to go out since I had a huge cart full and 2 small children. Whatever. I know you had some but the employee in the back threw a fit when I asked to use for a few minutes because her empty boxes in it were more important. Then not one employee helped when my daughter went outside found another stores cart brought it inside for us to load up and then the cart tipped as we went out spilling our thing. Never going back!Thank you to the passerbys outside that did stop and help us gather our things and watch my young one while I made sure my other was ok and picked up. Really appreciate you.

Horrible customer service. Was not greeted as I walked into the store although the cash registers are near the front of the door and a couple of employees were there. Upon been rang up by the cashier was not spoken to,but I was verbally told the total and given a receipt without a thank you for coming thank you have a great day or anything. Employees just care less these days. Great customer service is the difference between failure or success.

After less than a month in Phoenix, I have begun to see that its citizens have unapologetic prejudiced views when working in its shops and storefronts. The difficult part is finding a particular area or store that won't harass you when you enter its doorway. The case in point would be this location. I stopped in here on my way to an interview on August 17,2023 and successfully made a purchase with minimal verbal racial profiling. While I definitely felt the all too familiar "you're not welcome here" vibe, I was assisted more quickly than expected due to an employee opening a register specifically to ring me up and get me out of the store as quickly as possible. In essence "take your stuff and get out". During my first visit, I was followed around the store with little to no subtlety as to them pointedly watching me with a keen interest in the aisles I was going through while selecting the items I ultimately ended up purchasing. Even with all that in mind, I still returned to this location on August 20, 2023. This last trip will be my final visit to store #2623, however. Upon entering the store, the cashier immediately shouted at me to leave my bags (a single backpack) in the front of the store, much to the amusement of the other store patrons waiting to finalize the purchases they had selected. A clear and easily recognizable power flex by a person who feels like they can justify their prejudice by alleging it's the store's policy My analysis of the situation was that the cashier was using her perceived power to not only embarrass me but also "put me in my place". In lamentable terms, "I'm in control here, and you'll do what I say. I don't want you in the store to begin with, but I can't vocalize that in public." Nevermind the fact that nothing was said regarding my backpack on August 17,2023 or the fact that I was an assistant manager at Dollar Tree previously and actually know there is no policy on attempting to force anyone to leave any of their possessions anywhere in the store. Plain and simple, it's blatant racial profiling that has become socially acceptable at the lion's share of the Dollar Tree locations I have visited in Phoenix. Call a spade a spade. By attempting to force someone to do anything to enter a store that sells items for $1.25, you're clearly displaying your racism. Then, in turn, you're hiding behind nonexistent policies as a way of justifying your racial bias. Overall, this place is not the best place to go if you're of African descent. There are other locations that value not only your business but will also treat you in a respectful manner. As you can see from my other reviews, I have not had the most pleasant experiences lately. However! At great personal risk to myself, I write these reviews based on my experience so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. But always do your own research!
