This no-frills Italian restaurant definitely exceeded our expectations! It seats very few patrons, but we were able to make reservations for 6 without issue. The service was impeccable and fast. All six of us enjoyed our meals - carbonara, lobster ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, butternut squash ravioli, 7 meat pappardelle. Definitely stop here if you have a chance! Btw, Guy Fieri has been here too!

We were in AZ from out of state and thought it would be fun to visit Giuseppe's based on The Food Network's show, Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. Our table ordered the Calamari, Bruschetta sampler, Lasagna, Bolognese, Key Lime tart and Cannoli. The marinara sauce served with the calamari was so rich and delicious! The pasta is made in-house, perfectly textured, clearly made with thoughtful intention and just melts in your mouth. The ambiance didn't really match the menu in my humble opinion, but this didn't affect our experience and we're happy to see non-corporate restaurants thriving after so many forced closures during the pandemic. Oh, and don't skip the Key Lime Tart- so delightful!! We will be back when we're in AZ next -Thank you!

The food is passable, good but not exceptional. The issue is the price. My wife had pasta carbonara and I had the chicken parmesan. We also shared the calamari appetizer. The bill for us both was nearly $80, which we felt was much more than warranted for the type of food and style of restaurant. The place has got pizza parlor vibes but asking ristorante prices. The staff was great though. They seemed to care and were genuinely attentive. Overall, this place seemed mediocre, despite Guy Fieri's recommendation

We ate Giuseppe's this past Friday and it was excellent. We had excellent service by 2 waitresses and they were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant isn't large but it's a very nice place to eat inside and out. We started with garlic bread and their risotto balls. They were really good. I had lasagna and my wife had the lobster ravioli. They were both very good. We've eaten at many Italian restaurants over the years and this place is definitely a gem in Phoenix. We took our dessert to go and had the tiramisu. It was the real deal. There's no cutting corners on flavors at Giuseppe's. It's a must if you're from the area or out of town, like we were from Indiana.

WOW! What a great surprise, a true hidden gem! We found this restaurant on a "Hidden Gems" email from OpenTable. We began our excellent meal with calamari and incredible garlic bread, The sauce on the calamari was to die for, absolutely perfect. I had the ravioli quartet and my husband, a lover of bolonese ragu, said his was the best ever (and he orders it quite regularly). The hospitality from CIndy, and Giuseppe himself, was superb. Unfortunately I do not recall the name of our waitress, but she was lovely as well. DDEFINITELY recommend and will return! Thank you so much.

I have dined at this restaurant in the past when visiting family in Arizona, and left with a good dining experience via the traditional Italian menu and pleasant staff. Last night's visit was disappointing as my reservation for outside seating was called into question (note- one table of 4 was occupied). The hostess actually commented that we were going to be “allowed” to sit outside- dismissing my confirmed outside reservation. Take into account the entire restaurant was empty sans the table of four sitting outside well into their meal. WE DIDN'T STAY and had a very welcoming and warm dining experience at Blue Water Grill.

My wife and I and her brother had a great meal Friday night at Giuseppe's. I had the lasagna and my wife had the lobster ravioli special. They were both excellent. We had the risotto rice balls as an appetizer and they were delicious as well. We took our tiramisu to go and it was the real deal. There's no cutting corners at Giuseppe's. We had the opportunity to speak with the owner and he was very gracious with his time. His restaurant was featured on Guy Fieri's Triple D back in 2009 and they came back recently to film again for a show to be on this spring. It was a pleasure to speak to him. We are looking forward to another trip to Phoenix so we can eat there again. You can't miss eating at Giuseppe's on 28th.

We went here for a dinner with plans to use a gift card we received from family, which was purchased through the Guiseppe's website. When it came time to pay with the gift card, the staff shared that none of them knew how to use the electronic gift card, and we could either wait for the owner to come to process it, or leave without using the gift card, paying separately for our meal. We opted to stay, as we were told it would only be another 30min, and we wanted to get the gift card used. The staff even called the owner to let him know of our situation, and he did not give them more guidance on how to handle such gift cards sold through a link on their own site. After waiting 60min we were told the owner was electing not to come, and they still did not have a way to process the gift card. It seems if they cannot process electronic gift cards, then they should not be offered on the site. What was more upsetting was that it seemed the staff had not been empowered by the owner to handle this situation (take down the card info to enter into the system later), and left them to deal with our situation when he elected to not come in to work that evening as expected. The food and staff were great, but I don't think I will be going back or recommend it to others after this experience and seeing how poorly managed the business side is and disrespectful the owner is of customers' time. At this point, we still have a $100 gift card, which is essentially unusable and have paid an additional amount for our dinner, when we intended to use said gift card. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Giuseppe's offers the best Italian food in Phoenix at an extremely reasonable price. There is no need to spend 40 to 50 dollars for an entree in some of the so called upscale restaurants in Scottsdale or Phoenix. Giuseppes is the place for the best Italian food in Phoenix.

AMAZING! I picked up food yesterday night. As I stood around and waited, you got the vibe that the place is good...it was packed for Valentine's Day. Diners looked happy. I saw food quickly leave the prep station as soon as it was cooked. Got my food and jumped into my car. I actually called my son from the car to say, "we are in for a treat if the food is as good as it smells." It was sensational. It was so good that we forgot about the tiramisu we had placed in the fridge cause we kept raving about that we would most certainly order from this place again. I am writing this review cause I just finished tasting the dessert.... I practically fainted as I was overwhelmed by how delicious it was. Incredible! It probably has to do with the ingredients. The olive oil on the bread transports you to Italy.

I love coming to this restaurant for special occasions! Rich is an amazing owner and Cindy makes sure everyone is taken care of. I have been here for anniversaries, birthdays, and Valentine's Day- and every time I have left with a smile on my face. It is the perfect laid back atmosphere and you can always expect incredible food. My favorite dish is the the bolognese ragu; and their lobster ravioli special will always hit the spot!

We had the Lobster Ravioli and it was delicious. The service was great. We were checked on a few times to ensure our experience was good. It was Valentine's Day. It was wonderful.

Everything was absolutely amazing! You should definitely add this restaurant to your list when you're in the Phoenix area. Best Bolognese in America but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Had a reservation for my family. when we arrived they just told us that they moved people to our table because they were seating outside and it wasn't very warm! We arrived on time, and the server told us we needed to wait 15/20 minutes to get a table. A moment later the owner came and told us that he could not assure us to have a table and told us to go elsewhere. Awful customer service. Please remember making a reservation there counts for nothing. The owner is quite pompous as well. We ended up going to the crab place down from them and it was perfect
