I love guitar center but I will never come to this location ever again. I was coming into to the because i needed to return a kick pedal I bought. 3 days prior from another location I had my receipt and I was denied my return by someone whom I was to believe was in charge like I said it had only been three days so the kick pedal was not in Bad condition or anything like that and also I am aware guitar center does not require you to return. To the store where you purchased. The item. I only went here because it was a lot closer to my home. So after the guy told me I needed to return it to whereby bought it he said with out even opening. The package that I made it look all messed up and plus how do I know that I didn't. Steal it!!!!!!!!!! I was at a complet e loss for words but I was able to muster out a sentence of well of course I didn't. Steal it that's crazy plus I have my receipt so what's the problem. The guy told me then just return it to the other store you bought it from and quit acting. As if I didn't pull the receipt out of the garbage. I couldn't believe it this guy was the worst I've never felt so embarrassed before in my life. And Sam ash down the street just get I⁷Ithem selves a new costumer for life. I hope this man is delt with

Rental process was very easy and their costumer service was excellent. Rented a Harbinger 18inch subwoofer and it performed perfectly. Reasonable prices completely recommend!

I called this place to ask what they had available in 1/2 to 3/4 nylon. At least… I tried. The phone rang and rang. 5 1/2 minutes later, someone answered the phone. The guy said he’d get me to the area of the store that could answer my question and put me on hold. A few seconds later I heard the line picked up, then immediately the sound of the phone coming back down into the cradle to hang up.I’m posting this because I feel bad for the person that owns this place. His/her workers clearly don’t want to be bothered with any business. I’ll just find something on Amazon.

Lame. I went in to check out some cabs. Had a loose jack on my bass, and the ground cable disconnected, and the tech wanted to charge me $30 to re solder the ground wire. What a rip off. I went home and soldered it myself in 5 minutes.

Week after Christmas and my sons money was burning a hole in his pocket. He was looking to buy a electronic drum set. He's a beginner and we know absolutely nothing about these kits. We browsed for about 5 minutes googling good and bad trying to compare quality along with prices from a competitor about 3 miles away.. A middle age employee approached and asked if we needed help. I explained what we were looking for and he suggested a beginner kit in my sons price range. We ended up buying his suggestion after checking the competitor's website finding it to be about $50 cheaper at Guitar Center. Now our customer service was good. He seemed fairly knowledgeable and answered our questions. So why the 3 stars? The upsell at checkout. Yes we wanted an extended warranty for $60 just in case. No I didn't want to purchase a $100 stool, no he doesn't need a amplifier to go with it, no he doesn't need $150 headphones to plug in we have his gaming headset. I know this gentleman is probably required to try and squeak every penny they can but it's so irritating. Just like every store now asks if I'd like to round up my transaction for charity. Nope so your corporation can have a huge tax write off with consumer donations. We'll return because we got a good deal and our sales associate was nice, he even took the drums to my truck for me.

I had to buy something just to see if it fit because I was told that the mustang mini would fit my guitar but it doesn't and I would need to take 2-5 business days for the refund. I had clarified over and over that I needed to make sure it fits but the associate was sure and has me go through with the purchase. I even brought my guitar in too. Uneducated staff.

I wanted to give a shout out to Steven who works at the Phoenix Guitar Center. He went above and beyond to help me with a tube amp today. He was very busy but still managed to help me and all the other customers. Thank you for the great service.

I went in last Saturday to buy a Taylor guitar. Stood in the acoustic room waiting for someone to get the selection down to try it out and no one came. Stood outside by the register for 30 minutes and no one came to help. So I went 3 miles away and spent several thousand at Sam Ash on a Taylor. Today, I thought I'd give them a try as I needed a guitar stand. Same deal - no one to wait on me. Took 15 minutes for someone to come to the cash register. When I commented the cashier said this is a busy time of year and he has been complaining to corporate they need more people. I've never had this problem at Denver Guitar Center. Sorry to say I'm moving g my business to Sam Ash here in Phoenix.
