My loved one was recommended this hotel for a conference in a town she had never been in before. And it had nearly turned into a nightmare if not for a friend.A few days prior to the trip to this hotel I attempted to pay for the stay with my card over the phone with customer service, but I was told that this was not permitted. That payment can only be made after the stay and cash was allowed. No mention of incidentals at this time.So I gave my loved one the cash balance of the stay to pay for the stay. When they arrived they called me in a panic, fearful that they were going to be put out on the street because this hotel wanted not only the balance of the stay on a card but $200 more than the room to cover incidentals. So here they is with a considerable sum of cash in a town where she doesn’t know anyone and no hotel room because of a policy that doesn’t appear to be known to anyone until you arrive.Thankfully, they received assistance from a friend to get my loved one into this hotel.I tried to call customer service while my loved one was trying to come up with more money. They were helpful in that they tried to find my loved one another hotel that accepted cash. They couldn’t tell me if it had the same policies as the one we were currently dealing with.In conclusion, better make sure you have double the money what your room stay is. Hell, triple if you expect to eat because they will want all you money on hold until you check out.***Update to your reply I am not able to review you again***Don’t be insulting. I know it’s common practice to hold a deposit for the room. Your policy also held the entire room rate as well. No one does that. I tried to pay in advance for the room, but your policy did not allow it. NO ONE DOES THAT. Customer service was no help. What would have been helpful is to speak to someone at your counter, but you haven’t made that possible. You hide behind a customer call center. Get real

Fantastic place, been here twice and definitely will again next time I’m in Phoenix. The service is fantastic, friendly, and helpful. Rooms are clean and quiet. The breakfast is great. Highly recommend.

Nice room and large shower. Room was pretty clean but there were heart shaped little glitter things in hall, and my room, the whole time. Obviously not vacuuming every day or even 2-3 days. Didn't love the potatoes at breakfast. Was debating about four or five stars but decided on four because front desk was never friendly and there was no acknowledgement of diamond status or proactive giving of the welcome gift I was entitled to.

Right next to convention center. Monica and Jordan at the reception were very responsive.

And the free breakfast is not bad. Happy hour and dinner is pretty simple but effective for easy traveling. Staff is also friendly and good.

The location is very good. Although there were many tourists staying during Christmas, the staff still greeted us warmly. We also left our baby belongings in the room and found them for us quickly. Thank you very much!

The air conditioner cycles on and off every 60 seconds all night long, no matter how we adjusted the temperature.Valet parking fees are a bit hefty.Food is mediocre, with few plant based options.

I was pleasantly surprised. I was given a choice of a higher or lower room, I chose higher. I'm easily bothered by noise of other guests and it wasn't an issue with this stay. Thank you!Walkability: The location of the hotel is perfect for Phoenix. Away from the hustle and hustle but close enough to walk to it. If I couldn't walk the distance to my destination, light rail is very closeNoteworthy details: I love the location of the main entrance to the lobby. Right on the corner and don't have to look for it.

Great location in the heart of downtown. Hotel had a QR code with restaurant recommendations. Wish they were a bit clearer about the parking situation or even validated parking (even if this means a higher nightly rate) They offer valet parking at $40/night, but feel free to park in a ramp of your choosing. The fact that there is no onsite parking is why they are cheaper than the Hampton inn in midtown Phoenix. Daily breakfast was decent with the main option changing daily, and good options. The room did have a broken curtain that wouldn’t go up, but maintenance got to it quickly when alerted to the problem.

A very beautiful and relaxing property. Key only entry after a certain hour for those with safety concerns and there was never a huge wait for the elevator. The room was spacious and clean. The property was quiet and I didn't hear a sound during my time there. Lots of metered parking nearby if you have friends visiting. Walking distance to anything you need or want to visit. Breakfast is not that great and I only bothered for something to line my stomach with. But it's free so I'm not going to dock them about that. It's also difficult to get them to clean your room. If you sleep in and they mark you off they probably won't come back. There was one day i left early, came back, still no clean room. Meh. This isn't a big deal for me since I don't want strangers in my room anyway so it worked out. I just snagged anything I needed off of the cart while they were cleaning someone else's room. None of these things are really something I'd take a star off for, but should be noted for people that care. I'd return if in the area.

Food & drinks: I didn't like the free breakfast. Even for free I didn't eat it.
