Took my wife to the ED at Mayo Phoenix. Staff etc nice. The issue is Security at Mayo Phoenix. Very unprofessional. They defiantly need trained on de-escalation techniques. They should actually be wearing body cameras in my opinion. They also refuse FOIA requests Mayo is a private hospital but they receive government funding so they are subject to FOIA requests for Video coverage reports written etc. They seriously need to be trained on interacting with people. and de-escalation techniques.ex Leo what I observed was a circus.

After spending nearly 45 minutes completing a profile on-line, I was ultimately directed to call the local hospital to schedule for new patient. My first call I entered the requested information and placed on hold for about 5 minutes before being hung up on. I called back and explained the situation to the operator and she communicated a 15 minute wait time. As a result, I have decided to go elsewhere for my medical needs because if Mayo is this incompetent in handling registration I can only imagine how bad the medical treatment might be.

This is a new facility and absolutely gorgeous. You may not think that matters for an emergency room, but it actually added to make it a more calming experience. I was in the emergency room for 24 hours with a family member over the weekend and I can't stress enough how kind and helpful the staff was on duty. I came and went several times and each time security has to walk you back in. They were never annoyed and always kind and concerned. I was there so long that the people on the night shift from the first night were arriving for their shift the next day, and a number of people stopped in to say hello. The only thing that was really frustrating was the staffing gap in some of the services provided. When your situation depends on the staff working on your case, and there is a two hour gap between the a.m. and p.m. shift, it can be frustrating to know that nothing is getting done. Eventually, everything was wrapped up, though, and it was as pleasant an experience, as it can be, considering where I spent my day. I am grateful to everyone who worked over the weekend.

I tore my Achilles and headed to Mayo Emergency last December. They confirmed it, stabilized it, and set me up with their orthopedic surgery and physical therapy sports medicine crew in Tempe. A year later I am back on my feet, strong and confident, thanks to these wonderful people. It was tough but their talent, expertise and care got me through the other side of this injury. I am so grateful. Thank you!

The ER and observation care here is wonderful. My son was sick and headed to the ER. He was admitted for observation. His care team was great. They explained things and results wee received quickly. Would not hesitate going to the ER here again.

While the quality of care is great, the business office is a mess. I have been trying to resolve a matter between Mayo and Cigna since April. In spite of numerous requests and dozens of phone calls, Mayo refuses to submit the records, claiming no one ever made the request. As a result, I'm out of pocket $2k. Mayo trades on its image. Their claims about "patient as our priority" is a myth. Find a good local family doc instead.

I am beyond shocked at some of the low star reviews. This is one of the best hospitals in the nation with some of the best research for Illnesses. All staff has always been accommodating and polite. Easy check in for patients. Nice cafeteria facilities. Very clean and high tech departments. The nurses and doctors truly care about the patients. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

Mayo Clinic has a reputation for being at the top medical/hospital in the US and they surely meet the standards of Excellence. The whole process ofChecking in and being seen by your doctor is so easy and organized, very well streamlined. From the moment you arrive at the hospital and all the signs on the road to help you find your way to the right building aThen when you enter the building, more signs and a front Desk to help you.

My mom has been receiving care from this hospital for 30 years, and it's obvious why it's known as the best. The doctors are incredibly thorough and run every possible test to rule out alternative diagnoses. The support staff, including the emergency medical professionals, nurses, medical assistants, and front office, are so friendly. We were in and out of about every corner of that hospital this weekend and were nearly always greeted with a smile, listened patiently to my mom's million questions, and even remembered us if they saw us another day. We were in emergency twice, and I was very impressed by their efficiency, professionalism, and general kindness. This location has been recently renovated and has a lot of nice new interior facelifts that's been done. The shuttles to get you back and forth between buildings and the neighboring hotel really go above and beyond to cater to their handicap patients. The only downside I noticed to the recent changes is the terrible status of the cafeteria. Sometimes you're in that hospital all day long..for multipledays.. and it's pretty hard to get a decent meal and worse if you have any food allergies. The staff have complained too and hate the changes. It was really a drop in quality from the last time we were here for procedures. We dealt with the food issue by ordering uber eats alot, otherwise we had a great experience here as usual.
