I knew Kevin (The Owner) from over 35 years ago when he had an antique shop in Chicago. Recently I decided to sell some of my older Artwork and I would not trust just anybody to sell it. Modern on Melrose is a beautiful oasis in the desert of the highest quality antique and vintage hand picked Furniture and wares.If you are looking for something unique with esthetic quality from antique to vintage modern I definitely recommend Melrose on Modern. We were in the neighbourhood and decided to check this place out. We were looking for a fairly particular glass piece as an artwork display. They had lots of different glass pieces, however none as large as we were looking for in a specific colour. However they had a huge collection of mid-century furniture and artwork that was very well displayed. Very cool stuff! The furniture was obviously well looked after and well taken care of.

Very nice midcentury shop - lots of furniture and house decor - limited tchotchkes when I visited but the inventory changes regularly. I thought all of the pieces were priced very fairly and customer service was excellent. It’s a bit of a maze to explore but well worth it!

My teenage daughter and I stopped into this place and we had a hoot!!. We were pleasantly surprised at how big the store is and how many interesting items they have! You're guaranteed to find something that will make you feel nostalgic. Also, the Owner is really friendly and cheerful. We will definitely return!
