Excellent food, service and atmosphere! We have enjoyed Nello's since the late 80's and the Pizza has always been fantastic!

It's a nice neighborhood joint with lovely ambiance, perfect for a business lunch or a quick dinner out with family or friends. The food was quality, service exceptional, and I walked away knowing that I would return.Wheelchair accessibility: There were handicap parking spots and only a small curb to deal with.

We did love Nellos, but today's experience ruined that. I placed a pick-up order for soup and a pizza. The soup did not include the garlic bread, and the pizza was extremely dry, and the crust was flavorless. I am not sure if they changed the pizza crust or if it was overcooked, but it was horrible. We also did not feel well after eating one piece of pizza, so unfortunately, it will go in the trash.

Always a great experience. We love coming here and have been for a long time. And now, since they got cocktail menu we will be there more often. Food is always delicious and service is always great.

Don't get me wrong, its very clean and it had a good menu with decent prices. The food was alright. The service though was all over the place. It seemed like there was only one person working with two other staff members just walked in laps to make it look like they were working. I honestly think we could’ve been sitting there all day waiting for service. If you have nothing to do all day and want mid food then this is your place. I do feel bad for the one server doing the job if 3

We just moved to AZ in June 2023. My wife and I love going out for a couple drinks and good food. This place checked all the boxes! We tried the Fritto Misto, to start and it was amazing. Salads had homemade blue cheese dressing, amazing. We tried 3 8” pizzas just to try a bit of everything and it was all legit! The Yukon Gold pizza was a surprise winner! Great atmosphere, great martinis, above all great food! Go here!!!

Highly recommend this restaurant, the reviews are right. Food was amazing, we had the cheese appetizer, caesar salad, kids meals, deep dish pizza, margarita pizza and cheesecake. Everything and I mean everything was delicious. Our waitress was so kind. Our kids jiggling on their seats never felt like an issue yet we felt we could return for date night.Amazing evening. Best Italian restaurant in Arizona ♥️ forgot to take photos but the inside is beautiful, trendy, chic and cozy all at the same time.Kid-friendliness: Restaurant was loud enough for our family to feel good about our kids jiggling in their seats yet cozy enough for husband and I to return for date night.

The Lent Soup Debacle at the Awesome Italian Wood Stove Pizza RestaurantSo there I was, strolling into this awesome diner. The kind of place where the jukebox plays Sinatra, and the waitstaff knows your name (or at least pretends to). I'd heard rumors about their Lent Soup—people raving about it like it was the second coming of marinara.I sat down, anticipation bubbling like a pot of simmering lentils. The menu arrived, and there it was: "Lent Soup – A Bowl of Divine Awesomeness." I thought, "This is it! My taste buds are about to ascend to flavor heaven."The waiter brought out the soup—a steaming bowl of liquid gold. I took a sip. And you know what? It was awesome. kind of soup that makes you want to hug your grandma and thank her for teaching you how to slurp noodles without splattering your shirt. But then—I made a fatal mistake. I glanced at the specials board. And there it was, written in chalky cursive: "Awesome Italian Wood Stove Pizza." My stomach rumbled like Vesuvius before eruption.I thought, "Why not? Lent is all about sacrifice, right?" So I ordered that pizza faster than you can say "mamma mia." But as the cheesy masterpiece arrived, I realized my error. What self-respecting Italian Catholic man can eat Italian food without meat? Pepperoni is meat? No way!
