I've been a customer for a few years now and I'm always pleased with Larry's work and pricing. There's no better a gunsmith or strong conservative man in Arizona than Larry!

Something as basic as receiving a purchased firearm as the FFL, was a smooth friendly and pleasant experience. Larry is as nice as they come.

Does not keep his word on pricing. Make sure you get it in writing how much he is going to charge you before you drop your gun off. Does not understand the ar-47 platform. Completely ignored the issue I wanted fixed and instead just recommended different ammo.nice guy who unfortunately doesnt know how to work on ar-47 rifles. Also lost a piece of my dust cover. i’m not gonna sit here and bash the guy and tell you to see a different gunsmith but what I will say is this guy doesn’t 100% know what he’s doing. The first time I dropped my rifle off I said I was having light primer strikes. I gave him 60 rounds of russian 7.62 ammo and wanted to fix the rifle so it would shoot this said steel case ammo. He let me know about a week later that the rifle was ready to pickup. The rifle was still light striking on the primer. Larry ( owner of pearl firearms) offered to continue working on the gun at no additional cost. I had already paid 45$ which was for “lengthening firing pin” and “tuning sear” which clearly did not work because I was still having light primer strikes quite often. A few more weeks pass and Larry says the rifle is ready. I show up and I ask “ so you are not getting any light primer strikes or jams now with steel case”? Larry avoids answering the question and instead responds with “I recommend using brass case 7.62, I was having no issues.” The whole point of getting the gun looked at was to shoot steel case 7.62. If i wanted to try a new ammo I would have bought a new ammo and not taken it to a gunsmith. Larry tried to charge 45$ more, so it wouldve been 90$ for a “trained” gunsmith and 3 weeks just so he could not fix my issue but instead recommend a different ammo. Unless this rifle shoots 7.62 steel case without issue- This review will stay 1 star. I made it clear what problem I wanted addressed and you never fixed it, yet you wanted 90$? 90 dollars FOR WHAT? TO TEL ME TO USE BRASSCASE? It dosnt cost 90 to figure that out. You should have tried using known good ammo first and if you had no way of teling good 7.62 from bad 7.62 dont accept the job to begin with. I needed someone that was confident in the fix not some guesser. I should have never gave my 7.62 ar to larry. I can guarantee if I gave this firearm to a gunsmith with prior experience regarding 7.62 ar rifles, the issue would be fixed. Also the following day I was replacing the firing pin with a slightly longer one for 7.62. I noticed my lower is all scratched up in different places where this gunsmith was resting his tools while working on the lower. There is easily 5 scratches on my lower that were not there before. All near the hammer spring and buffer tube area which I know for a fact you said you were messing with that area.

I shopped around for pricing before I selected this company to do the work I requested. We discussed what needed to be done and agreed on a price. When I went to pick up the item the price had nearly doubled. I was never inform it was going to cost more. He just did the work at almost double the price of what we agreed on (on the phone ((text)) and in person). As it turned out it cost me more then other quotes I had received. Just beware of creative pricing. Let me please give everyone an update regarding the type of work this person does. Yesterday I had the opportunity to shoot the firearm that he had done work to. Unfortunately he did not even tighten down the screws that he said he loctite them with. I would be very cautious letting this person look at any firearm yet a lone let him work on. Fortunately I learned my lesson and it didn't cost me that much and it was something I could fix at the range. If you're looking for a gunsmith to work on your firearm I would continue looking and bypass on this individual. Very poor work

A++ Would Recommend. Ive used Pearl Firearms Repair twice now and both times were amazing service. Larry the owner is a great guy. He takes the time to go over the work you want done, makes suggestions and is overall a pleasure to work with. Turn around time is fast, communication is fantastic. If you nees any sort of gunsmith work done I would defiantly recommend getting in touch with them.

I took two pistols to him this week. One he cleaned, oiled and tested. The other he put on some different grips I had and oiled it. He did excellent work and the price was reasonable. I will be using his services again in the further.

Worked with Larry on a couple of transfers and he was thorough and great to work with. I brought him a P-38 that needed some love with a good cleaning and just a complete check up of the operation. Got the pistol back and received a good report on it that everything looked great and the pistol has never operated as smooth as it does now. Thank you Larry, I hope to see you soon :-)
