I'm so thankful this pet shop is so close to my house. It's great when I need food, treats, or toys in a pinch. They are usually stocked with what I'm looking for or better alternatives.
The employees here are super helpful. They're unfortunately understaffed but they really go above and beyond to help. They also recently started offering grooming services and they happily accommodated my 90lb blur of a dog.

I’ve been coming to Petco grooming for about 3 years & have always had a pleasant experience but for the first time I had my dog bathed here. Odessis I believe was her name…was absolutely AMAZING! I accidentally got my appointment date mixed up but she found a way to fit me into the schedule thankfully! She was very helpful. I will be scheduling all my dogs future appointments with her!

I only shop here in emergency situations. The pricing on dog food is about $20 more than Costco. Not a good look.

Store refused to sell fish at 7pm claiming that the department was closed even though the store stays open until 8pm, why close at 8pm if you are going to stop selling things and hour early? Will buy fish elsewhere in the future.

First off, I would like to say this store has a racist employee that took the title as a manager late 50s. Name starts with a “D” you will know her when you see her she kinda shaped like SpongeBob. I returned a fish that did not make it to the fish tank on the ride home, just know I spend $100 dollars ? the poorly appointed employee rudely made us and a couple other customers wait 20 minutes while helping another employee with a coupon purchase, after the delay she proceeded to played on her phone then ? lied sayin she was helping customers on her phone? , she was asked several times was she open?? She then proceeded to refund me for the dead fish but only gave the refund of $3.06 but that wasn’t the whole refund reward she proceeded to refund the correct amount? but she still only refunded $4.23 so she shorted me a few dollars still, I will never go to this location again, I might just take my money to pet smart
Recap I was also told by the store manager, they will not sell me any more fish until I bring my water to be tested. Keep in mind that was my first time purchasing fish ever, and the fish never made it to the fish tank.

This review is specifically for the vetco clinic at this location. I'd like to start off by saying that I usually love the vetco clinic, and have taken my dog to various locations to update his vaccines. Usually, the clinics are set up in the middle of the store, and have a queue that you walk through after getting checked in. This helps eliminate lines and keeps dogs from crowding and being too close. That is not the case with this location. The clinic is held in the actual veterinary area right by the entrance. My dog and I arrived for our 12:30 appointment at about 12:20, and got into the line on the side of the clinic. In line there were 3 dogs, which were making my dog excited (which is a personal problem), however the clinic itself was absolutely packed with dogs. Needless to say the nearly 20 minute wait was unpleasant, as I imagine it would be for anyone who has a nervous dog, or is used to the quick service of most vetco clinics. After finally getting checked in, I was given another leash as the clinic requires two for your dog. I was told I could wait in the waiting room for my dogs turn, however because of the amount of dogs in the waiting room I opted to walk my dog around the store. When it was my turn, they told me that my dog would need his blood drawn first. Imagine my surprise when the vet and her assistant began reaching for my dog to take blood right in the waiting room, surrounded by every other dog and owner that was present. My dog is very nervous, especially around new people, and though he is gentle, certainly needs patience. With two new people and several dogs surrounding him, he began to get upset and escaped both of his leashes/collars. I grabbed him by the scruff on his neck in an attempt to keep him in the waiting area. I attempted to put the leash back on him, but the veterinary assistant continued advancing toward him causing him to back up further. He began to run and made it about 2 feet before he stopped. In that time all of the nearby employees began yelling "FIDO" which I assume is protocol for a loose animal. I'd like to point out that because of the poor set up of this clinic my dog could either run out the door to the streets, to the left towards the many other dogs and owners in the waiting room, or to the right to all of the dogs and owners in line. My dog ran into line and very quickly stopped by the check-in stand, at which point the woman checking customers in stated "don't you love how nobody did anything?" towards the vet tech. While I understand frustration/lack of support in the work place, it did not instill confidence in me that a lack of help/alarm is commonplace here, especially when my beloved animal is on the loose surrounded by dogs on either side and a busy street right near the edge of the clinic. Fortunately, we very quickly got my dog re-leashed, and took him back to get his blood drawn after which I was told I would need to continue to wait for his actual vaccines. At this point, I was so frustrated and upset at the situation, I could not imagine waiting any longer, surrounded by upwards of 10 dogs, after watching my dog get his blood drawn in the middle of the waiting room right next to said dogs. I walked out without getting my dog vaccinated. About 10 minutes after arriving home, I receive a call that they were ready to vaccinate my dog. The time was 1:20. Fifty minutes after my 12:30 appointment.
Overall, l am utterly shocked at the lack of organization and care, and regard for the customers time. Why make an appointment, if you're expected to wait an hour surrounded by other animals only for your pet to receive treatment on the floor of the waiting room? If you are looking for the swift, but caring Vetco clinics, where your pets have a clean, designated space to receive their shots, this is not the Vetco for you.
