Realtor Kim was very nice and extremely helpful. I am writing this review because of my interaction with Cathy McCormack, the owner, who is extremely rude and has zero customer service skills. We showed up to pay our security deposit, admin fee, and rent. I was instructed over email that the security deposit and admin fee were to be made out to Property Minders, and the rent would be made out to the landlord. I decided to double check that I was making them out correctly before signing the money orders, and she angrily yells to me, "ALL OF THEM SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO PROPERTY MINDERS". I inform her that over email, I was told by Kim that the security deposit and admin fee would be made out to Property Minders, and rent would be made out to the landlord. She then just says "YES THAT IS CORRECT" -- no apology or acknowledgment that she misspoke and just told me incorrect information literally 10 seconds prior. Not only that, she said the incorrect information with such conviction and anger, it definitely warranted an apology.I wish that was the end, but it was not. After paying everything, I was to meet the landlord at the property to get my keys. She then asks me if I made an appointment to meet 'Leona' at the property. I ask her who 'Leona' is. She, once again, angrily yells, "THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY?!" It was so condescending. What an insult to my intelligence. Oh by the way, everyone, the landlord's name is not Leona. It's not even close to Leona. I tell her that Leona is not the name of the landlord, but yes I have an appointment. She proceeds to stare at me and say nothing. I tell her again, "It's taken care of." She then goes back to typing on her computer. Again, no apology or acknowledgment of misspeaking. Who thinks it is acceptable to act this way?Cathy, a normal response in both of those situations is "I apologize, I was mistaken" and then some sort of statement to show that we are on the same page, not dead silence. YOU screwed up saying the wrong thing. TWICE. Own it. Are you so prideful that you cannot face that? Get out of the customer service business if you are truly so bitter than you cannot even collect your $200 without being so repugnant. If you are seeking a property manager to list your property, and you would like your new tenants to be mistreated and also have your property manager not even know your name, this is the place for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere for someone who knows how to act like a normal person.

this company needs lessons in empathy and compassion.do not expect to have any issues resolved in a timely manor. long story short-- water heater confirmed leaking saturday morning, reached out to cathy via email and was told she "texted the plumber." no sympathy or sense of urgency for the issue i was having, it wasnt happening to her so why would property minders care right? now finally Tuesday afternoon the hot water heater has been replaced and the carpet is still SOAKING WET because the company they sent out to soak up the water the first time(saturday) is now busy with other places and will "maybe be by tomorrow at 9am but need to catch a flight at 1pm"the house smells awful of mildew.now i can understand it being a weekend and a holiday weekend at that, however if they were interested in actually taking care of the issue they would have gotten ahold of someone that could have fixed the issue with a sense of urgency instead of taking the cheap route and causing me to have to call out of work to wait around for someone to show up and the carpet cleaning company to also cancel... so now 3 days later the hot water heater has been replaced but the carpet is still soaking wet and the house stinks so bad of mildew it gives me a headache, ive not stayed in the house since saturday night.please have a sense of urgency when problems arise and get them taken care of asap instead of three days later, show some empathy and compassion a single "oh im sorry thats happened" or "oh sh*t that sucks" would have been good enough for me. i dont appreciate the dry, unsympathetic way this situation has been handled.

Jeff has always done his best to work with us and get back to us as soon as possible. Sometimes it takes a bit longer for things to happen then I’d hope. I wish we were able to call in and just ask a question rather then getting immediately sent to voice mail. As a young renter/new renter, I do appreciate working with him. The few accounts I had to deal with Cathy, were not my most pleasant. She was fairly rude with me and even my mother over the phone. We had a flood in our house and everything was falling apart. She just told me to put in a work order. Didn’t have much concern for us or our situation when we were going through it.Side note: I wish their website was a little nicer to use.It would be nice to pay fees or other deposits SEPARATELY. So it isn’t combined in with the total of rent. It can be a little inconvenient when it comes to paying your bill.

If I could give a ZERO I would! Do NOT give this lady your money!!! Beware, she is a scam! We submitted an application on a home for rent, the "agent" Catherine S McCormack took our $150 application fee and she only called me 1x (10 second phone call) to ask for documents. I provided her everything she asked for and she never ever respond to us after the fact, except to email us with no written email just a scanned copy of some "decision letter", that they bypassed our application to give the property to "another family" when it should be first come first serve and we were FIRST if not the only family to apply. My family exceeded the income guidelines and she was satisfied with our credit based on her declination letter. I went down to "cathys" office and shortly realized it's a bait and switch office. The lady that greated me in the office told me Cathy only rents a space from her and when I asked to leave Cathy a message the office lady said "she doesn't like for us to take messages for her". What reputable property management company doesn't want messages given by applicants and/or tenants? I'm a Real Estate Broker myself and I can tell you without a doubt, Im reporting her to the State Attorney Generals Office.... PROPERTY MINDERS IS A TOTAL SCAM, DONT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!

I’ve worked for property management and real estate over 15 yrs. The property I rent had a few issues at move in which is normal, they responded right away and had everything fixed in a day. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a home. This is what you want from a management company.

We moved in last year and we were out of a refrigerator for a week and a half. They raised the rent 300.00 randomly when we were paying 1800, and the previous tenants only paid 1400.Now it's up for rent for 1800.00 again!!!! Which is interesting?!!! I guess nobody wants to pay 2100.00 like we had to upon moving out. It was fun being under stress looking for a new rental in your 3rd trimester of your pregnancy. The HOA was horrific and harrassed us the first week we moved in about the lawn. Then they harassed us about a vehicle being parked out front that wasn't even ours a little bit after. When moving out we made sure the rental property was in great condition and even paid 350.00 for a cleaning company to clean it, but we didn't move the washer and dryer back upstairs due to us using our own and they took 250.00 from the refundable deposit. Supposedly it cost that much to re-hose them, even though we left all the hoses upstairs. Mind you I'm 9 months pregnant and my husband moved the entire house by himself due to them trying to be greedy for no reason and inflating the rent. Please don't use this company unless you want to be taken advantage of! Gouging at it's finest and it's pitiful!

My experience with this company was awful!!! I received a lease with lots of errors the address was wrong i was trying to turn on the utilities and the lease had the wrong address. I was trying to get renter insurance and the lease required 1,000,000.00 0n the insurance. Then I was written another lease with an extra fee for my pets. When I questioned it. I was told if I dont like it i can get reimbursed for the security deposit. I was Dealing with Jeff and he was rude and so unprofessional. After dealing with all this I wouldn't give them my business. Now i got to cancel my renter insurance. I lost out on 140. In application fee and also renter insurance. I have to pay just to cancel the insurance. Just a real bad company. Don't recommend them to anyone.

I love Cathy and Jeff, at Property Minders, They are real people who care about the property they manage. Whenever I need some type of maintenance, they have someone contact me the same day to make arrangements. and when they come, they only need to come once. They never question me about repairs. I let them know what needs to be done, and I'm contacted usually that same day. Never do they try to avoid repairs or try to push it off on me like a lot of property management companies. Actually they are the only landlord that doesn't do this. Even better is the maintenance crews they hire; these guys aren't like some of the companies out there that act like snakes. They do the job and do it good without having the need to return two or three times just to finish the repair. a lot of maintenance guys leave tenants with these issues some time one or two weeks some times longer with their inflated determinations about the needed repairs. basically , they have honest maintenance men. which in the long run must save them a bundle of money. I've lived in a rental unit for three years that Property Minders manages and it was merely a stroke of luck to get an honest company. Thank you Property Minders for being so honest and really caring about the properties you manage.MeShelle

Moved to Arizona, my mom rented an apartment and it was terrible someone in the middle of the night threw a big boulder through her car window. She never found out who did it. but then the had bed bugs and we didn''t even know what that was but we felt it, the property sprayed for cockroaches in stead. then they sprayed for bed bugs, leaving a puddle of chemicals on the floor. So then they did a heat treatment & that's when bad got worse. Air vents + no cleaning +14 years = BAD. The heat disturbed the mold and the mold retaliated with spores carrying poison micro toxins into the air. These things you cant see and most people cant feel them because our immune system usually fights them off and we're ok. but there was so much built up mold it produced billions of tiny mold spurs which all produced micro-toxins , these micro-toxins are really bad news. 45 minutes, the toxins to break down my moms immune system and she ran out of the apt with the feeling of red fire ants all over her skin. we slept in our car. the property management, gave us another apartment where the wall was ripped out in one of the bathrooms and we could see inside the wall and there was water damage but not as bad as the first place. So we moved to a place way worse. My mom could feel the invisible spurs all over in the kitchen and my brother too. This property manager said it was dirt but my mom who was really suffering the most hires an environmentalist who tested and sure enough my mom was right. this guy told my mom to get us and herself out of there that night. well big nightmare there too. The property manager lied and said he took care of everything so, we came back from the hotel and the first night my mom woke up and couldn't breathe. She ran down stairs and to the front door and a neighbor found her on the sidewalk unconscious at 3am. when they took her to the ER lung x- rays said she had something called advanced emfazeema; however a month later she was cured. The doctor said it was probably chemicals or the spurs because they didn't remove the mold with a containment. well that had been a horrible first two years here and then we moved into another apartment where it was also drowning in chemicals mean while my mom is getting sicker and sicker. We replaced carpet and padding the wood had been soaked in dog urine. Neighbors verified a woman living there with two dogs she never took out. it was gross! They tried to cover it up with chemicals. none of these first three places even cared that my only mom was getting super sick and me my brother only have her. We moved again. this place was bad too, but not as much because there was no carpet. The property managers were horrible and none of the appliances worked and the dishwasher still doesn't work, my mom finally accepted the fact that property managers in Arizona didn't care about the condition of the units they manage, they bring in the cheapest replacement appliances they brought 4 different dishwashers saying they were new, while the tub is cracked and water all over our floor. mom just said, 'yeah, it works great!" but we've never used the dishwasher because she couldn't take off anymore work to meet repair guys for yet another one that didn't work. Finally she just started doing it herself. Mom paid to have this place cleaned up properly and have their mickey mouse repairs fixed. she was finally a little more comfortable. And then, the letter from Red Brick Reality. We have a new property manager, Cathy From PROPERTY MINDERS. Cathy & Jeff took over 3 years ago. "It's like these guys fell from heaven", mom says. Because they fix the problem the first time. PROPERTY MINDERS managed to get maintenance people who don't waist time, they are knowledgeable and efficient, the only thing mom can say is that PROPERTY MINDERS IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO US SINCE WEVE MOVED TO ARIZONA. Cathy and Jeff are a great team all of the way around: they respect their tenants; care for owners propert

Terrible!!!! Rented me an as ready unit full of Roaches and a broken Dishwasher to begin with!!! Made several small repairs as requested prior to move in but was not sufficient! Building was/is ROACH INFESTED and they refused to treat the building! Transferred management upon my move in and they dont view the units themselves.

STOP DONT PROCEED!! Worst company ever! Rude, unprofessional, and just sketchy. Had problems from the start with communication no one answers the phone and text/emails are responded to super late with very short responses. Jeff is horrible thank God I never got to meet him, the guy is just an asshole! Paid my earnest deposit on a unit that stated it came with a garage right before I sign the lease I ask about the garage again and Jeff's respone was " I've never been to the property you can go check for yourself" my response was how are you a property manager and have never been to the property? How are you listening places if you don't know what amenities it offers? I told Jeff if he couldn't provide with a basic yes or no that I wouldn't be going through with it. He advices me to come pick up deposit. He didn't check with homeowner or someone who has been to the property. Really shitty situation because the condo I wanted to rent was bad ass and in a great location. Don't waste your time or money with these assholes they have no respect and just want your money...
