Comfy, glove-fit, heavenly, gorgeous skates (and blade protectors) ! I appreciate the people here so much!I needed immediate help and magic getting fitted for and buying figure skates after a shipping fiasco of other skates online from different company and fitter. It is 2 days before my skate camp near the store. I flew in from out of state the morning after calling about availability for me and learning the skate tech would be in store for a 2 hour window Saturday (today). Everyone was so helpful and kind in store. My new figure skates feel like heaven. They all took such good care of me and made sure the skates would be great for what I need/ want to learn as well as helping fit them like a perfect heavenly glove. They took so much time and detailed care not only with me but with everyone else who was in there, for their various skating needs. I was anxious and nervous after the other skate fiasco but now I'm actually so happy it led me to go this route. I only wished I had flown in sooner for more time on my new skates before camp starts :) I cant wait to put my skates on, on the ice!! (Plus, i got a sweet bag and beautiful skate dress and fun lovely blade protectors, and a few other basic necessities.) So stoked! I am so happy and I'm definitely going back to get help with online skates or rollerskates as i can start that right outside my own door at home. Ah. I feel like this place is run by skating angels. I'm so grateful.

Pretty abysmal experience here and hope that they can really clean up their act, however, being that they don't have much other competition (except for maybe Amazon), don't hold your breath. I recommend you go somewhere else to get your skates. I enjoy rollerskating and wanted to purchase a pair as the weather is cooling off and it would be a fun way to spend weekends and get in some physical activity. My partner found this place for us to visit and initially, the visit here was ok. Emma was helpful in measuring my feet and then had me try on a few pairs in store that had my size. This first visit was hassle free and I paid for my skates with the anticipation that it would arrive to my place in 3- 4 days. However, once I went home, I realized that Emma didn't provide the invoice for me and I only had a receipt of the amount I paid for and nothing about the skates I ordered. And here is when things started to go downhill. The week passed and then on a weekend one week later, I called the store in the morning to get an update on my skates. Amanda answered initially and told me she didn't know what was happening with my skates and would have to get back to me. She didn't call me back, so towards closing time, I gave them another call back and this time, I spoke with Kelly. Kelly was able to find my invoice and emailed it to me. He told me that my skates were not in their warehouse and that they would have to call the manufacturer on Monday to see what the status was on my skates. I asked Kelly if he would call me back after he had the status on my skates and he let me know he could not do this as they are too busy in their store. On Monday, I called them back to ask about my skates and they told me it would arrive at their store later that week. On Thursday, I called them and finally after 2 weeks, they now had my skates in their store. And instead of having them delivered to my house, I opted to just pick them up. At this point, I didn't have much faith in them anymore. On Friday, I went in to pick up my skates, however, when I tried them on, they didn't seem to be the same kind of skates that I had tried on the first time. I really do not like skates that have thinner tongues as it makes the shoe pretty uncomfortable and it would dig into top part of my foot. Amanda helped me this time around and she was able to let me try on some other skates in their store in my size. I finally did settle on a pair of Jacksons, which has worked out well for me. Overall, I will say this experience was very frustrating for me and next time, I will avoid this place. My partner ordered a pair of skates online after I purchased here and got his skates before me. I think this type of business model really needs to be improved on. Not sure how they are still in business really.

this shop is not bad but they convinced me to get skates that were hundreds more than the ones i wanted in the first place and were completely wrong for me. i can’t use them now unless i want to say goodbye to my big toenail, and i paid over a hundred dollars more than the online retail price. she wouldn’t let me try any of the skates i wanted in my own size because she said i was supposed to be three sizes smaller, but then let me try my own size in the more expensive pair, it was very manipulative. if they’re going to be upselling irresponsibly like that, they should at least have a buy back policy. now i need to sell my skates for half the price i bought them for, and i haven’t really skated since i bought my new ones because it’s pretty upsetting that i was robbed of the upgrade i saved up for. i believe that your local skate shop should take better care of you than an online store but i would’ve been much better off ordering online because this shop was very manipulative with the upselling.edit: it’s been a long time. no replies to my review, no attempt to make it right whatsoever. i was tricked into wasting hundreds of dollars on skates that i now can’t get rid of, and i no longer skate. if you want to go to pros edge, i recommend taking up a different hobby entirely, especially in this heat. save your money instead of making what’s essentially a donation to this place.

I placed an order several days ago and it showed "unfulfilled" for four days before they responded to my email inquiries. They never responded to any of my voicemails. I did finally get an email (after contacting their sales dept instead of customer service) explaining that it was temporarily out of stock. When they got it in stock they express-mailed it to make up for lost time.

I wasn't going to post this review here, but the store owner is doubling-down on his stance, claiming 'we just want to fight' and that doesn't sit right with me. All of the negative reviews you've seen are right. Just don't order from here. Shady business practices and a lot of dishonesty. There's a common thread in all the one star reviews - they advertise items on their website that they don't have in stock, then ghost you after you pay. My daughter has been off ice for over 3 weeks because she grew out of her skates and no one had them. My daughter is on the spectrum. Figure skating isn't just a part of her life, it's her way of regulating her emotions. I've been struggling to get her boots but I finally have. The blades have been an equal struggle. I contacted discount skatewear because I had previous experiences with them. They responded quickly to let me know that they had the blades I needed and I immediately ordered them. But now I can't get any information from them whatsoever- not a status update, not a 'we're running behind, we apologize'. Also blades come in an already shippable box. All you have to do is tape them up, stick an address label on them, and then stick them in the mail. But I've been ghosted. Now I'm trying to get a refund so I can order from another company. The heartbreaking part is that I explained via email that my daughter is struggling being off the ice and please let me know at least when those blades will be shipped. And still I've heard nothing. I understand that people get busy and maybe they couldn't go out right away. It's the ghosting after dropping $300 that gets me. EDIT*** I just got off the phone with a gentleman regarding my order and I am never ordering from them again. He claims the item was shipped on the 20th. That's great, but why have they been radio silent since we ordered it? They never sent us a tracking number and never responded to emails. They shipped it UPS. The label was made on the 20th, it was physically shipped on the 22nd, but it's not arriving till the 27th?! And at no time could someone drop us an email and let us know? This isn't how you run a business. Oh, and we emailed them to be sure they had the blades in hand ready to ship, which we assumed would come from their AZ location, just a hop away from us. but it's coming from Rhode Island? Just bad business all around. After I posted this second review on Facebook, the man I spoke to doubled-down, saying that they 'find products that consumers are not able to find on their own. We have products shipped direct to consumers from different distribution centers so products can be delivered as quickly as possible'. But my wife asked them specifically DO YOU HAVE THE ITEM ON HAND TO SHIP IMMEDIATELY. She didn't ask if they could locate this item. She didn't need help locating the item. She was doing that herself. She said 'do you have it on hand'. And they knew the difference because that's the reason they went radio silent. Because if they have the item, and could make a shipping label for it, they would have just sent us a tracking number and it wouldn't have been a thing. In the end, I have seen a lot of other people complain about this type of treatment. And because we've had good interactions with them in the past, we figured those were outliers. We were wrong. My daughter needs these blades. We were trusting them to get them to us. They just wanted another 300 bucks. That's what it looks like to us. And unfortunately an upfront seller who has the item in her hands ready to ship, which could be to us tomorrow, is on the back burner because of this store's dishonest business practices. They complained that they couldn't answer emails they received over the weekend, but we sent them emails on Thursday and Friday. That isn't over the weekend. That's during the business week. I am trying to inquire about my order. If someone could please answer the phone, email or chat bot that would be great. Order placed 10 days ago. No communication on order shipment at all. Policy says you are not responsible for missing packages. I am not complaining about a busy shop with long lead times. I understand current supply chain issues. My 1 star is due to the lack of consideration to customers. We are not just sitting at home waiting for a package with no clue when it will show up. After 10 days I should have some type of tracking number or shipping estimate. If I do not receive anything back I am disputing this with PayPal. At this point I feel like I was ripped off.

Went in for skate maintenance after experiencing knee pain. After a visit to the doctor and finding that there was nothing physically wrong with my knee, I figured it had to be my skates.I brought in my skates and Emma was able to quickly diagnose a broken truck was causing wobbliness on my derby quads. They were able to order the part and get my skate fixed. Super great about communication and setting expectations.11/10, my skates are now butter smooth and my knee doesn't hurt anymore! Plus I saved soooo much money from not getting an MRI :) Thanks!

We Drove 45 minutes to shop roller skates and it was worth the drive ! Great inventory selection and fantastic customer service by Kendra !!!lots of accessories too . I appreciate that they had a few different brands to compare . Also , no pressure to spend more than your price range . Lastly glad to know my YouTube research using the skate channels queer girl straight skates , dirty Deborah harry skates , and estro gen were helpful and accurate per Kendra :)

These guys are awesome. I decided after 30 years to get back on skates to impress my gf. She has been coming here for some time. I have to tell you the staff here is GREAT from start to finish. They were SO helpful and friendly. They listened to what I had to say about what I did and did not know and they asked the right questions to get a feel for what I might need. They helped me pick skates and made sure they fit correctly. I have wider feet so they helped figure out the correct style and then they custom formed the skates to fit to my feet. What service. I did freak the skates lady out when I got up on the skates and pretended I was losing my balance. She was a good sport but I think I took a few years off her life lolThe prices were reasonable and the staff was beyond compare. They are very knowledgeable and there was zero sales pressure and they did not try to upgrade me or get me into something I didn't want.One last thing to mention. I was going to buy skates off of Amazon and save IDK maybe $10. I was able to get a custom for and more knowledge then I would have from a website. I am SO glad that I came here. If you are in the market for skates I wholeheartedly recommend you come here for the extra service that you would never get from a faceless website.Thanks girls, I appreciate all the help. My first time to the store I bought a pair of ice skates and had them sharpened for my daughter by ray. The first time she tried them out she felt unbalanced but kept skating until she ran in to me with a large laceration on her knee, screaming. Weeks later we got her skates re-sharpened and were told that whoever originally sharpened them before did the most uneven job he had ever seen. I realize this is an unusual injury in figure skating but wonder how much the sharpening contributed, and will not be back.

The most immature unprofessional skate store there is in all Phoenix, I've tried going in to get sized and find a comfortable skate and was not treated with respect was always tried to get upselled another skate I never wanted and just horrible customer service. Probably better ordering online if you don't wanna deal with anxiety of a poor excuse of a store was really hoping this was going to be a great experience
