I honestly cannot recommend Rob's Dogs enough. My corgi went from being a bit of a terror on our walks to an absolute delight IN ONE WEEK! I originally took her on walks because it was my "duty" as a good owner, but now I think I enjoy it more than she does.I have been shocked by the level of communication and follow up throughout the process. Rob texted me personally several times to check in and give me update. Lauryn (Willow's trainer) has been attentive, responsive, and helpful every step of the way, and we just started Willow's "off leash" training with Joel and he was beyond helpful in our session together and quite patient with the seemingly endless questions that I threw at him. I'm already looking forward to our next session. If you are on the fence and worried that the investment may not be worth it, TRUST ME it is. You will not regret it. In fact, I am quite certain based on my experience that Rob will make sure you remain a very happy customer and receive your money's worth. What are you waiting for! Call Rob.

I took my 7 month dachshund for training and chose the 7 day board and train. Excellent facility and people are friendly and professional. VERY clean and well appointed. After her week she knows her commands and I was trained on how to continue the process. Joey is great on the final one on one's he is effective with time and my dogs specific needs to be worked on. Very pleased with whole experience!

I contacted Rob's Dogs to help with our "anxious, super puller." Our dog is well behaved at home, but when we went for a walk, he would subject us to an impromptu arm workout. He is sensitive and anxious, especially around new things.I tried many different "no pull" harnesses and training ideas, but nothing seemed to work and each walk was getting harder to manage. Our trainer, Joel, was patient, kind, and explained training in an easy to understand way. He adapted his methods to how our dog learned best and created an environment where our dog was comfortable and receptive. The 1:1 lessons provided personal, focused learning for both my dog and myself. After 5 lessons, and lots of practice, I can now easily walk my dog. He went from "panic, pull, and don't get me near that kid on a scooter" to being able to walk by my side through a busy park filled with children. He went from shaking and refusing to go inside a Home Depot to being able to walk in, calmly sit by my feet, and even let a few employees give him a pat.Is his still anxious? Absolutely; but I now have the tools for successfully communicating with him to alleviate his anxiety by keeping him focused on me and the task at hand.Even after the formal lessons are done, I still feel supported by Joel and Rob's Dog staff. I know that as my dog and I continue to practice, they are there to help me when I need it.Communication with Rob's Dogs is easy, efficient, and professional.

Our two German Shepherds spent a week at Rob's Dogs board and train course. What a great experience for them! Rob's Dogs' trainers Joel and Lauryn are excellent, professional trainers. They did a great job with our two adolescent German Shepherds, Mako and Ume. Joel and Lauryn were knowledgeable and patient with both the dogs and us.We would recommend Rob's Dogs to anyone looking for a high-quality dog training experience.

Rob’s dogs was extremely helpful for my new puppy . They corrected all of the issues he was encountering (walking on leash, basic commands, barking, socializing with other dogs, being in public etc) . Lauryn was extremely helpful and kept me updated through the entire training. Highly recommended!

We took our dog, Poppy, here for a 10-day stay to work on her focus with distractions around as well as her intense pulling on leash while walking. She's part hound so that pulling is no joke! She's also nervous around smaller dogs due to a bad experience and can be on the reactive side. When picking her up and doing the take home lesson with her trainer, Joel, we were SO impressed by how easily she walked on leash, paid attention, and even ignored a small dog at the park. She's still working on things while being back at home (and we're learning too), but we are so pleased with how well she's doing! Same Poppy, just with more manners. Thank you Joel and the Rob's Dogs team :)

Had our dog (Dalmatian & Australian Shepherd mix) stay a week for training at Rob’s dogs for leash training. Results were great! The staff, especially our trainer Joel, were very helpful and awesome to work with. Would recommend if your dog is energetic to help get the obedience in!

I was very excited to get my new rescue puppy last month and quickly realized that we needed a little more help getting her adjusted. I had seen several ads for Rob’s Dogs and figured I would reach out to gather more information about the process, what would be a good fit for us, price, etc.So I used my break to fill out the online information questionnaire since I knew I was limited on time and shared that email is my preferred method of communication but still gave my phone number as I figured it would be needed eventually. I made sure to state that if they could email me with several options to schedule a time I would then call them with one that worked. I pretty quickly get a call which I had forwarded to voicemail since I was back at work. I realize it’s from Rob’s Dogs and found a second to call back to reiterate that email was a lot easier for me to schedule times if she could do that. Literally first words out of my mouth was “you just called but I’m at work and will be until after 10p and email is a lot easier for me to communicate to schedule”.My goodness you would have thought I was asking her to build a computer from scratch from playdoh, and the attitude that she had with it. I was informed very rudely that they aren’t doing evaluations anymore, but also was told “after you schedule your training the evaluation will happen before the first session. But I can schedule for a time for me to call you back when you have more time”. So not only am I confused by this statement about the evaluation because it wasn’t making since, but also am I am trying to get her to email me the the information so that I can call them back when I am not at work. With her just repeating that they don’t do evaluations anymore and I needed to schedule I realize this wasn’t a place I felt comfortable to have them train my pup, since communication clearly isn’t a strong suit. So I simply said never mind I will get her trained myself with another company. I eventually had to hang up as I was getting frustrated and needed to get back to work. 10 minutes later I got a text basically upset at me for trying to get the information about how things work and why would want an evaluation if I didn’t want any dog training? To say I feel attacked is an understatement. Her level of unprofessionalism is unmatched by feeling it was okay or appropriate to text me after our last interaction. She not only chose to ignored my request for email communication, called and left a message (which was not an issue to be clear) but then was rude to me over the phone when I ask for email correspondence with the information needed, then had the audacity to then text me with your rude attitude after I said I would find another company to help me.I don’t know if it’s just her and she needs some restraining herself or if the whole company is like this but I’m not one to risk it to hope I’m wrong. I would not recommend this company as there isn’t even a way to make an appointment for information to learn more that what’s on the website if you’re having dealing with Julianna unless you enjoy being disrespected and attacked. But who knows these days companies hire and keep like minded individuals.Just my experience please make your own decision for yourself and your preferences.

The people here are just so great! Our dog stayed a. Week, her training is amazing. Joel took us to the park with our fur baby ruby and taught us her training techniques. Joel was so understanding and patient and knowledgeable and made us very comfortable and knowing we have a life time of guidance and help with our baby ruby was so reassuring that they’ll always be there for us!!! Love these guys so much much I will be bringing my 3 year old Shepard next!!!!

We are so grateful for the help we received at Rob's Dogs. I have to praise lauryn for the training she did with our pup Max. His ability to walk on and off a leash continues to improve and his recall at the park is incredible! We play fetch a couple times a week in our neighborhood and he isn't phased by kids or other pets anymore. Thank you for your help!!

To be honest, I was a little skeptical when I dropped my 5-month-old puppy off for the 1-week board and train program at Rob's. 7 days just didn't sound like enough time to make much of a difference. I had been living with my puppy for 3 months and attempting some training along the way, but I was getting a little worn out myself and hadn't had much success. Reading books, spending hours on youtube, constantly feeling confused with all of the conflicting information and techniques on the internet... my dreams of having a well-trained dog were fading away (sound familiar?). At our evaluation, Rob assured me that I would be happy starting with just the basic package and that I would go home with a good dog. In my mind, I would at least get a week to catch up on sleep...The changes I saw when I picked him up blew me away. One of the biggest changes for me was going from a difficult leash-puller to a dog that heels and sticks to my left side with a slack leash. Our walks went from feeling like a chore and a reminder of how badly we both needed more training to something we both look forward to and enjoy. I also now have the tools and training techniques to prevent him from picking up and eating things off the ground, jumping on the counter and trying to eat things on a hot stove, and chewing on house plants. I feel so much better about his safety. Of course, he can also do all of the basic obedience they promised as well. All of this really just adds up to a more enjoyable experience with my dog and finally having the confidence that he will behave if I take him with me instead of leaving him home alone. It also solved the confusion problem and gave me an effective plan I know I can execute and rely on.Finally, I have to add that Joel and Lauryn clearly know what they are doing! Lauryn provided training updates on what they were working on and how he was doing throughout the week and sent a few pictures as well. Joel spent about 90 minutes with me at a nearby park to show me how to use the tools and training techniques to continue to work with my pup. The tables had turned. My dog was navigating a crowded park with plenty of distractions and I was the one in need of training for how to manage the different tools, techniques, and situations we came across. Everyone I interacted with at Rob's was great. From scheduling, reception, Rob himself, and the trainers.I will definitely be back to work on more off-leash training after we perfect the on-leash training techniques we learned through the 1-week basic board and train.

We love Rob’s Dogs, shoutout to our wonderful trainer Heather who was knowledgeable, professional and incredibly talented!! My husband and I tried positive reinforcement training with our 70 pound lab/staffy mix pup (Penny) until she was one year old. We brought Penny to Rob after realizing she was beginning to choose people/dogs over treats and playtime with us. Dogs that are hyper excitable, stubborn or too lazy to work for treats need more of a firm hand when it comes to training especially in our case as we travel across the country twice a year for my husbands work! We chose to do five lessons in person with a trainer (self schedule when it works for you and your puppy). We are so glad Heather and Rob not only supplied the tools needed for training (E-Collar, prong collar, long leash) but they also trained us on when/how and where to use them. We even had to see for ourselves what it means to be “shocked” by the collar (it’s a lot less scary than it sounds and doesn’t hurt at all). We saw more focus and overall better behavior in Penny within the first few sessions with Heather. What we loved most about Rob’s Dogs is that they teach a mindset shift in your dog instead of teaching them to behave only in certain places or with certain tools on. That being said, as you finish up the training sessions the goal is to eventually not need an E-collar or prong collar on your dog at all. Lastly, for the duration of your pets life you’re able to reach out to your trainer with questions or concerns regarding new problem behaviors or issues that arise. We trained penny 24/7 during the five weeks we were meeting with Heather. Penny made incredible progress and she is now able to go everywhere with us and we don’t have to worry about her misbehaving near as much as we previously had. When my husband and I get back to AZ we will sign up for three more off leash training sessions with Heather. Thanks again!!

Heather did an amazing job with KJ. I’m sorry I don’t remember the first trainer for KJ’s first week but she did good also. But our last 4 sessions with Heather was so amazing? KJ was so uncontrollable at first. Once Heather showed KJ and myself that life was so much better when KJ was not wild. KJ is a joy to have now. Thank you Heather and all.Rob’s Dog training is 100% worth it. - love Sally & KJ

Heather is a fabulous trainer! I did the train the trainer type of lessons, which I recommend. My dog is much more obedient, and I feel like I can use the same methods on my other dog (who didn’t need as much training). Heather listened and worked on what I cared about, and gave me practical solutions to use.
