I love that this local art center and gallery showcases local and up and coming artists, even high school students. The sculptures outside are all for sale and extensive in variety. Inside, this repurposed house (?) is charming with several different display rooms. We came during the New Horizons Student exhibit and I was amazed by the talent of these local teens. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable.

Nice, modestly curated gallery with art classes. The hours are spotty so call ahead before you arrive to be sure they’re open. Classes are very overpriced for what you can find at actually art schools in the Valley. Good choice for older family members visiting from out of town.

I would suggest others to keep a watchful eye on any and all of their property when at the Shemer Art Center. I participated as an artist a few years back while putting on an event called MicroDwell. The owner of this art center stated she wanted to purchase some furniture I utilized in my exhibit. Instead of paying for the furniture and fulfilling her end of the bargain she made excuses and claims she donated $2,200 worth of Crate and Barrel furniture to Goodwill. The amount of dishonesty shown by the owner of this establishment is disgusting. Thank you for screwing me over!

I am a dues paying member of Shemer. It is an artis and cultural center focused on local artisans. If you like supporting locals this is the place to go.It is well organized and a fun place for the kids also.

I can’t say enough about this beautiful place and the awesome staff, headed by Shonna James! She made my guests, wife, and I feel very welcome, still with our safety in mind. The ambiance at Shemer is elegant yet simple, creating a perfect environment and vibe. I appreciate how they don’t force a list caterers or bar staffs; it definitely assisted in making my wife and I’s event truly our own unique experience.

The art center such a great place. Donations are graciously accepted and they have so many classes here. The collections that they have on display are amazing. It's no wonder it's one of the Phoenix points of pride. I've been here twice and I've been impressed both times.

Shemer Art Center has been fantastic. I took a beginner pottery class with Alan Jones and have really enjoyed the learning process. The Center keeps classes small and had instituted policies to keep students safe during the pandemic. My favorite days are class days.
