This place had the ultra light wood we needed for our router. It was my first time here, so I didn't know the procedure. Everyone I spoke to was helpful. You can call for a stock check, but they didn't take my order over the phone. They told me to just walk into the office and tell them what I need. Then I have someone from the warehouse load my purchase. Then back to the office to pay. Order, Load, Pay. I feel like that could be streamlined a little more, but they have their reasons for that specific protocol. The entire area is kinda squishy. Really popular store. I had to pull a U-turn cuz the people at the stop sign were blocking the driveway. The front parking lot is also kinda cramped. Barely fit my ladder truck into one of the parking spots. In fact it was the only spot that was open. Turns out I had to move to get my wood loaded. There is also a limited number of will call parking spots. I saw 3. When I was getting ready to leave, there was someone who was waiting for my spot.

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Spellman Hardwoods. Our company initially ordered a product to use with our CNC machine. Unfortunately, the product did not work as we had assumed for our application. We spoke with Jason over the phone to coordinate a return and were assured that they would bring the newly ordered replacement product and take the original back.
They followed through on the delivery and pickup, but to our surprise, we were charged for both products. Despite multiple attempts by our accountant to resolve the issue, the return was never processed. Dina Reis from their accounts receivable department even contacted Jason and Tom regarding the matter, but there was no response from either of them.
This situation dragged on for over four months, during which we received no resolution and were threatened with being sent to collections. The complete lack of communication and follow-through on their end was unprofessional and frustrating.
I would strongly caution others against doing business with Spellman Hardwoods. Their poor customer service and disregard for resolving billing issues are simply unacceptable.
Edit: Five months after the product swap, a driver from Spellman showed up unannounced, claiming he was there to pick up a return. This level of disorganization is truly baffling.

Called several other places for same issue service people on the phones were hard ons!
I would stop here first for your lumber needs!

Everyone I've spoken with at Spellman's has been great. They have patiently answered my questions and taken time to determine what I was doing in order to make suggestions and give sound advice. Then you get to the warehouse and yard! You really need to see for yourself.
