Came a few minutes before closing time looking for light fixtures so I was the only customer in there. Joe was very kind and showed me around his shop and told me the history about the lights I liked! I ended up buying a pendant light from 1907 but would hang too low from my ceiling so he offered to shorten it for free and it was done in 5 mins. Great experience overall, Thank you Joe!

Nothing in this store is priced. He said it's because he has some very valuable items and when people see those prices, they assume everything is expensive. I say it's pure laziness. I don't want someone following me around telling me how much everything is (based on how much it looks like I can afford?) And I often don't know how interested I am in an item unless I know what the price is. Smh. I walked out.

I met Joe back in November of 2021, I had called him regarding restoring a 1904 woodstove I had. He said he could do it and it would take some time. Here we are 9 months later and I don't have my stove back. I have called numerous times, in the beginning he was answering and letting me know it was taking time. Now when I call no one answers, I have left multiple messages with no return calls. I actually went to his shop and had the neighbor deliver a message for me. Joe finally did call and said he had some health issues and he was still working on my stove. He said he would call me when he knew something. I have received a few "butt dials" from him and when I try to call back I don't get anyone. I am frustrated that I don't have my antique stove back yet. Not only that but the wood stove is the only way I heat my house and I live up North, winter will be here soon and I don't have a way to heat my house. I am giving 3 stars only because Joe has been so friendly when I have dealt with him.

I've stopped into most every thrift/antique store in Central Phoenix and, at best, I've found AN ITEM. Not three, one. At best. (And don't get me started with McAlpine's-- the only thing I ever wanted there was a Jukebox that didn't work and wasn't for sale.)I've now purchased 4 items here, some large & expensive; I could easily purchase 4 more. You go here. It's incomparable.
