Worst bank in America. Do not, I repeat DO NOT BANK HERE. ATM doesn't allow deposits anymore. The system they have blocked my card for no reason and there is no customer service over the weekend. Basically my money and accessibility to my account is being blocked because it's the weekend. This bank has changed names 4 times since I've been with them and this new ownership (probably government owned now) is absolutely ridiculous. Go to any other bank and do yourself a huge favor. Or plan on randomly having your funds blocked from you over the weekend. This is the second time its happened to me. I'm done with this @#$%!!!!!!

Just went to the 35th ave location for a banking transaction and the cashier ( Jordan) was absolutely the friendliest gentleman I have dealt with in a customer service environment in a very long time. He had the best attitude and customer service that I can remember in a long time. Its a joy to find people like Jordan that really enjoy their job and do it with the utmost care and professionalism. Global should be very proud of the Employees at this Branch location.

Very bad customer service turned away someone who wanted to open a new account telling system can not pull up a SSN… lucky their was Well Fargo back near by and they were able to helper and opened a new acc.

Horrible service, Alaska Credit Union took over TCF branches in Arizona. No phone number to call the branch, after you call their 800 number they put you on hold. I have been on hold for over 25 minutes. All to try to call the branch with a question. My was told that my TCF accounts did not transfer to Alaska CU. Only to find out with a call from Alaska CU that I have and over draft fee to pay, when I don't have an account. Very poor excuse for a financial institution...

UNAUTHORISED ACCOUNTS OPENED without my permission! I was a TCF member when Alaska USA bought them out. They opened 3 accounts in my name unbeknownst to me and an account in my child's name! They also do not tell you about the FEES associated with those accounts! I smell a Wells Fargo scam going on here! Luckily I asked questions and caught it! Do NOT bank here people!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Why? Here ya go: I got a call from a girl named Stephanie or Samantha. She was saying that TCF Bank was going to close and Alaska was taking over their locations. The caller asked if I wanted to switch my Checking Account from TCF to Alaska Federal. Then, she started asking me questions like, "What's your name? What's you address? What's your Account Number?" And, I thought, "Hey! This is EXACTLY what those scammers act like. And, who is this chick? Why is she calling me? Why haven't I received any letters about this?" And, I STRAIGHT-UP TOLD HER that I DIDN'T want to give that PERSONAL INFORMATION over the phone, and that I DIDN'T want to change banking services over the phone, neither; and, if I did want to change I would go into the TCF Bank's physical location to talk to someone there. Well, I decided to stay with TCF and NOT switch banks to Alaska Federal; but, the next thing I know is my TCF Account is closed and my Bank Card doesn't work anymore! Why? Well, that B!$(H decided to close my TCF Account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, and create an Alaska Federal Account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and WITHOUT ANY WARNING!!! So, you have to ask yourself this: IF THEY CLOSED MY TCF ACCOUNT and opened a, East Juanita Avenue,n Alaska Federal Account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION...what else are they going to do without YOUR permission? Will they open loans in YOUR name WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION? Will they give away YOUR money WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION? Will THEY decide that YOU "forfeited" all of your money WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION? Well, I decided that I wasn't going to find out what else they were going to do WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, and I closed my account THE MOMENT I FOUND OUT WHAT HAPPENED!!! Now, I have to go to ANOTHER bank and open ANOTHER account. After that, I have to wait at least a week before my checks come in the mail and wait for my Bank Card to come in, as well. Then, I have to call my work and change my Direct Deposit Information. Then, I have to go online to ALL THE DIFFERENT Websites (eBay and PayPal) and change my Banking information there, as well. And, I NOW have to do ALL THIS EXTRA WORK because some dumb-b!$(h decided she wanted to fluff her numbers by doing something I told her NOT TO!!! Just stay away from Alaska Federal! You would be better off dealing with those check-cashing places...or a loan shark that breaks legs. Now, I guess I have to wait for the SAME Copy-and-Pasted response from the "manager" that everyone gets on these Reviews. Have a great day everyone. Please, make sure you listen to what I wrote here. Alaska Federal is a scum bank and it's full of scum that cause nothing but problems. FUNNY STORY: When I was waiting in line to close my account, ANOTHER unhappy customer was talking to a teller and even he said, "This place is full of idiots" as he left; and I just have to agree with him. Also, as I sat there closing my account with some OTHER dumb-b!^(h, all I could hear TWO MORE unhappy customers standing at the other tellers raising their voices; and ANOTHER unhappy customer talking to a manager about something. My guess is, they did to the other unhappy customers EXACTLY what they did to me. Bastards! Just COMPLETE bastards.

This bank gives me problems all the time, they deactivated my debit card for no reason at all or dont want to tell me why. I also have a debit card that’s not even linked to my account, now I have to wait until 9am! To get this taking care of and I have bills to pay. 9am! Why does this bank open so late. They used to open at 7am and be open 7 days a week, and now another bank merged with them, I’m kinda concerned that this bank is going under. Need more locations too. This bank is very inconvenient. Let’s review, open at 9am! not open 7 days a week any more, not a lot of locations, they deactivate debit cards without notifying the customer, they link a debit card to your account that you don’t have, and the worst their after hours customer service reps are not with TCF, they use a third party agency that don’t know what your talking about, TCF, why should customers use your bank? TCF very very inconvenient!
