Townsend Park is a small, 1.8-acre park located just south of a shopping complex. It features a lighted basketball court with a mural, two ramadas with picnic tables, and a playground equipped with a jungle gym, slides, and swings, all under a shade structure. The park is well-maintained, with staff seen cleaning during visits, and offers a pleasant environment with beautiful greenery and palm trees. It is an inviting place for family outings, picnics, and outdoor activities like soccer and kite flying. However, Townsend Park has some limitations. There is no restroom facility, and the drinking fountains have issues. The park is open from 6am to 10pm, but visitors should be aware that it lacks electrical outlets and grills. Parking is limited, and while it is a decent park for local residents, it may not be a destination park. Some visitors have noted the presence of a homeless camp under the shelter, which can affect the experience. Despite these drawbacks, it remains a nice spot for a quick visit or to spend time with family, as long as expectations are managed.
On Sunday morning at 9am there's a brief church service while breakfast is served. I like it there are doing a great service to the community and spreading the word of God. It's awesome.

Just walked by. They keep it clean. Homeless people like to sleep on the grass. Really small park.
