Erika answered the phone and without even listening to our questions repeated “no we don’t have that. No we don’t do that”. Business must be booming that you don’t even bother to listen/ respond to something that fellow reviewers have commented that your place has! Don’t waste your time here.

We have used Uhaul over 20-30 years. And needed to ship extra family items out of state. We reserved online. Per the name tag I knew who she was; she name tag read “Erica -Owner” and we were at UHAUL of 2345 E McDowell PhoenixWE reserved online, weeks in advance. We arrived at the Uhaul location noted above, we expected to a one-way, 15 ft truck . Right away we realized we had been assigned to very truck Erica was discussng??truck which was in the lot, returned after major mechanical repairs . OMG it wasplus it had significant high mileage.My hubby complained because Erica changed giving us at first a newer truck, then switching us to an old truck . He asked for the low mileage , newer truck because we overheard her talking to mechanic about the old truck having had problems. She flatly REFUSED to give us the newer truck . We had no time to wait , so we accepted the truck. We should have walked out and gone elsewhere.The nightmare trip started there..We loaded the truck at our home. We wanted to beat desert heat and woke 3am , ready to start the long trip over the desert and across 3 states. But the battery was DEAD. Hubby is auto smart, he tested batteryeded a with meter , it showed only 1 volt !Hours later , Uhaul servicer arrived and tested electric. Battery too far gone to charge , he replaced it.We finally took off. We soon found truck A/C did not work and with floorboards so hot it burned our feet. It was hellish hot , we laid cardboard down and drove on. 3 hours behind , with deadline to turn in the truck, we drove until too tired then pulled over and slept on night 1. No reservation at motel, since we did not expect delays . we carefully turned off engine and verified all lights, radio etc. were off.Luckily , the truck started in morning , but still AC did not work and it was miserably hot.We did reached our destination late on day 2 . We unloaded with help from family, ready to return truck by deadline next morning.In morning,my hubby tried to start the engine. Oh no, this time the NEW battery was dead. My niece had jumper cables and hubby gave jump. We returned the truck to the Uhaul in Bend OR . Nice people heard our nightmare and we urged them... DO NOT let anyone else risk using this truck!We blame Erica , owner in Phoenix Office... we figured she knew this truck was in bad shape and wanted it to leave her center ...no matter how dangerous it was for customers. Bad apple!We will never recommend Uhaul again.

I rented a truck here and had it all set up online to be be a one way trip, later on discovered the contract was changed to a same pick up/drop off. Tried to drop off at a location nearby and they said they could waive the $200 fee for the truck ( I was only 30 miles away) but when they tried they said the original location locked them out of it. With all of that the truck shouldn't have even been in service there was potting soil all over the cab so I know there wasn't any extra so called (covid cleaning). Lastly the truck was badly in need of service the a/c would constantly go out.
