I recently rented a truck from U-Haul for an off-road adventure, and while the overall service was commendable, I couldn't help but wish they offered lifted trucks. The standard truck struggled a bit on some corners during my off-road excursion, highlighting the need for vehicles better suited to rough terrains. U-Haul's customer service and rental process were smooth, but an option for more rugged vehicles would greatly enhance the off-road experience for adventurous renters like myself.

Just moved out of this place after being there for 6 months. For the price I can’t recommend it. Office workers weren’t consistently friendly or helpful. The doors and elevator were breaking and you were limited to access only when the office was working. Far too expensive for such inefficient management. I will probably never use uhaul storage again unless I have no other options.

I'm here to give another bad review. I reserved a truck from 7am to 5pm. The movers I hired were running late, so I didn't pick up the truck until 10 am. After walking 25 minutes, the employee told me he gave away the truck I reserved. He also lied to me and said he called me to ask if I was still going to pick up my truck since it was past 7am. No one ever called. They are liars. Phones now a days have caller ID and call history. Also, I was sitting around waiting for the movers all morning, I would have answered if someone called, especially from Uhaul. He also tried to blame and accuse me by telling me I should have called. If I did, there wouldn't have been an issue. Do not rent from here. Use the Uhaul off I-17 and McDowell.

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! I HAD PERSONAL BELONGINGS STOLEN FROM MY STORAGE UNIT AND NOTHING WAS DONE AFTER CALLING THE POLICE AND CONTACTING UHAUL CORPORATE THEY HAD NO ANSWERS ON HOW THESE ITEMS GO MISSING FROM A LOCK UNIT. AFTER COMING ON HERE I NOTICE I WASNT THE ONLY VICTIM. NOT ONLY DO THEY STEAL STUFF BUT THE UNITS HAVE BED BUGS THERE RESPONCE WAS THAT ONE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS WHERE AT FAULT FOR THAT ! I NOT ONLY GOT MY STUFF STOLEN BUT OTHER ITEMS NOW RUINBY BED BUGS INFESTATION!

Honest review of the U-Box shipping service.Communication between employees was very poor. On multiple occasions I had two different employees call me with completely different delivery dates and info.Delivery date on the website should be the date you want the boxes delivered to your destination NOT the date you want them delivered to the warehouse. This was very frustrating to deal with. I scheduled for Sept 16th and was told my boxes couldn't be delivered until the 17th because the online schedule date is only the date they guarantee the boxes to arrive at the warehouse. Only after multiple phone calls, being left on hold for 45 mins, and talking to multiple employees was I able to confirm delivery to my apartment for Sept 16th.My roommate also paid for U-Haul's mover services which ended up being a major hassle. He paid for two mover's to help with his move however, U-Haul themselves do not do any of the moving. They contract the help out. He was assigned 3 different moving companies before the delivery date even arrived. Upon moving day, the mover's cancelled last minute at 3pm on moving day when they were supposed to arrive at 9am that morning. This left us scrambling to call U-Haul and other moving companies to get someone to come help. Eventually we got ahold of U-Haul and sat on the phone with customer support for 35 minutes before they finally reassigned another moving company to help us. This final moving company was great but due to U-Haul closing for the day shortly after the company was contracted, they were not able to retrieve his U-Boxes from the warehouse so delivery was 1 day late.Pickup was also late. I was told by the employee on the phone that my U-Boxes would be picked up the following morning after I unloaded them, however when that day came I was told no such pick up was scheduled and it would be at least another day to have someone come get them.Overall, the boxes arrived and the items remained safe but communication and coordination was very poor and a pain to deal with. I would hesitate to recommend this service in the future. Especially when the service costs as much as it does.For a short move this might be a good option for you but I would recommend looking into other companies for longer moves across multiple states like mine was.

I AM so thankful for the staff at U-haul. It is said no good deed goes unpunished. The people at U-haul have showed me so much love I don't know how to repay it!! I recomend this particular U-Haul because they care. Its dangerous to help people or do anything outside of what your job description calls for. They answer the phone. They work with you and don't have to do anything but there jobs. When you find kind people don't abuse it be thankful and greatful you are receiving warmth. In a world so cold there are still people who want to do good but if you punish them for that good you are killing the spirit. Thank you sooo much God Bless and may you always be protected and increased abundantly.

**UPDATE**Today is day 3 of trying to resolve the double billing. Adam the GM of this location is RUDE and doesn't know what he is doing either. His supervisor Erica didn't call me back either so now we go to her supervisor and next will be news outlets with all the reports of theft from this location. I suggest anyone who had missing items from here do the same. I will be contacting the Attorney General's office as well.Big corporate doesn't need to lie and steal from the people who have kept them in business!They double charged me for a truck rental, I called and customer service saw their error and escalated it, asked the store manager to call me and they still have not. Dixie was the only one who seemed to know what was going on at this location and sadly she wasn't working when we returned the truck or I don't believe this would have happened. I will be taking my complaint to the next level tomorrow morning. Unacceptable, and not good representation of U-Haul who has always been great!

This place sucks. Cannot take deposit or payment in cash “due to not having a cashbox” and also CANNOT accept all types of debit cards for said deposit. Save yourself the trouble and go to a competitor who can accept all forms of payment like a normal company.

If I could give a less than 1 star rating I would. I would NOT rent from this U-Haul unless you are more than okay to have your stuff be stolen. My family had more than 5k worth of belongings stolen. Some items were gift's from family and friends for either birthdays or Christmas and items that were bought over the years. I believe this is happening from internal because items that ranged from small to big required the storage unit door to be opened to take the items out. Again, I would NOT rent from this U-Haul because one day your items will be there and the next gone. There are no securities camera around the halls of the units, which makes me think it is happening internal. There is a lack of security cameras around the storage unit, which allows anyone steal items without it being recorded. I have rented from pervious storages, and they have NEVER had the units without roof coverage. This location has no roof, anyone can look over your unit, which is a huge RED FLAG. Again, do not rent from here.

Rented from this location for a few months until we noticed items going missing. It was until we were looking for certain items and did inventory that we noticed the staff was breaking into our storage and stealing our belongings. We noticed our door handle was always smashed in and we had to have the employees come fix/replace it. We have lost at least 5K in possessions ranging from collectibles to personal belongings with sentimental value. In addition to the loss of belongings there is no roof coverage over the storages making it easy for anyone to break in and steal items, I have provided photos of proof of break ins with fingerprints indicating someone was jumping into our unit from above, we did not realize it until we moved out of the u-haul storage location. U-haul will do nothing in terms of returning lost/stolen items, so do not bother with their insurance or putting items at this location. By all means, if you truly care about your belongings...DO NOT RENT OR DO BUSINESS WITH THIS U-HAUL, IT EMPLOYEES THIEVES AND YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING YOU OWN.

BEWARE!! This place has its employees stealing , I am almost positive. We got so much stuff stolen at this location. And some of it was like super impossible to steal without having access. They don’t have cameras and the top of the storage rooms have no roof for easy access. Your STUFF IS NOT SAFE AT THIS PLACE AND THEY DON’T CARE.

I can't say enough to express how good the people and customer service at this specific location is. As a motorcycle only owner, I frequently grab a van to do chores, shopping or laundry. Although there's a place a little closer with more vehicles and always available ones compared to this location's small fleet, I prefer coming here because of the way I am treated as a customer and as a human being at this location.The vans are always there when they say they will be, and you can even arrange for after hours pickup and drop-off with the anytime options if one's available. That has been a great upgrade to many locations. The vehicles are in good repair and never nasty.One time I needed it longer due to illness and at the time couldn't figure how to extend on the website. They saw I had made a reservation for a new rental and called and offered to extend the current one to save me from having to go through the check in process and immediately check it back out. That's going the extra mile and seeing more than the obvious.I have found every employee there through the years friendly and helpful and always kind and supportive of my lonely banter going a little long at times. Reynaldo I've recognized the longest, and he was present cleaning vehicles as they came in and recognized me with a welcoming, I know you type, greeting as we passed.Cyress and Donnell were working the desk today. Although Donnell was helping a guest he made sure to make friendly eye contact to welcome me without interrupting the customer. In no time Cyrus came in to take care of me and handled everything for me quickly and efficiently.My advice, these guys are better people and treat everyone with equal respect and compassion and courtesy..... don't go to that one on McDowell and the 17, I always hate it when they're the only ones with available equipment because I often have to deal with made up rules and pressured added estimated charges and so much more. These people here have never been rude or mean or tried to make up rules that doesn't exist.

Robbed of over 10k in belongings. Their “insurance “ won’t pay you for your stuff being stolen if you don’t have photos of your stuff in the freaking unit! Like I could just move my own stuff and take more pics and say it was stolen! How the hell does that PROVE it’s been stolen!!!! Definitely inside work. As others have stated, they’ve also filed a police report , only to still be denied our claim. We lost most of our expensive items and we had no where else to move our stuff into . Meanwhile it was reported only to come back and find more stuff gone the next time. Disgusted and filing a suit against them. People looking to do the same can reach out to me on Facebook or instagram so we can get a class action going here!!!!! Something needs done!!!!!!!!!
