I go to another VCA brand in Colorado Springs. I have been down in Arizona and needed to get my dog a follow up, so I tried this one. It was a pretty bad overall experience. The tech was absolutely awful, she was rude, acted like she was afraid of my dog, basically didn’t even want to touch him; it was really weird. Why work at a vet??Furthermore front desk ladies were not friendly, and while the veterinarian was friendly she seemed so so inexperienced, like almost to an awkward amount...I also agree with so many other comments that they are overpriced and pushy with quotes. To top it all off, a standard exam visit took about an hour and half, with about 1 hour of that being wait timeOverall, I would not recommend and will not be bringing my dog back. I would try somewhere else.

Another great experience here at the VCA. Thank you Dr Hatcher for the love and kindness and all your medical knowledge for our boy. I love how we never feel rushed or that no question feels "dumb". Poco loves all the staff too.

This hospital continues to amaze me with their lack of compassion and integrity. I understand people have bad days but this is consistent. As a part of the veterinary community here in arizona I am ashamed to know they are considered part of it. The DVMs I've dealt with have been great but the support staff ruins everything for them. I will gladly share my opinion and experience with everyone I can. Please, for your pets sake, look elsewhere for compassionate care.

Absolutely wonderful! I took my elderly cat. Bogey to see Dr. Melissa Gottschall for the first time and was extremely impressed. She's thorough, professional, gentle with the animal (as well as the human) and knowledgeable. I wish I would have found this Doctor a long time ago. I can highly recommend Dr. Gottschall for your pet's needs.

My family has been going here a long time. Friday I had to make the decision to put my baby girl down. It was the hardest decision of my life but everyone here was absolutely amazing and caring. Even though I was an absolute mess my girl and myself recieved amazing care. Sophia thank you for meeting me outside and being so kind to me. Thank you to the guy (can't remember name want to say Nathaniel) for being so gently when you carried her back for her IV. Dr. Hatcher thank you for everything you did for her. Thank you for taking away her pain one last time. You guys are all amazing and I appreciate you all. It's not easy when we lose someone we love but you guys made it just a little more bearable for her and me. So thank you.

It’s been a year now since my dog passed. A year ago today they messed up and lost my dogs ashes. I will forever mourn today. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else’s babies. They only offered jewelry to make up for it. My dad went by there so upset because that dog was my baby. I loved him more than anything. He loved him more than anything. You can get angry or just cry. He was upset that was only the justice they did for losing my boy. They called me offered the jewelry so my dad would stop complaining or not to sue. I didn’t have the heart to do anything I just cried and I cried until I couldn’t no more. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else’s babies.

My sister has taken her dog here for many years. He turned 15 this year and despite aging kidneys and high blood pressure he maintained his energy and antics and love. As a chow corgi mix, 15 years far exceeded his life expectancy, thanks to the thorough and loving care he received here at Mountain View. Time did catch up though and on Monday he was ready to pass on. The attention and compassion that was given to him and his people was outstanding. The time spent in a private area, choices for seating, and memories shared by the staff of his life were so comforting. We sat around him in a circle of love and appreciation for a life well lived and a peaceful passing. Thank you all for all that you do.

I loved the previous Doctors, but my kitty and i are not fond of Dr. Ansem. She kept us in the waiting room 19 minutes then talked to me for 20 minutes an exam room. Then I had to wait while she figured out how the scale works. And Instead of trying to get to know my kitty, she threw a towel over his head to put him on the scale. The poor little thing became noticeably upset and hissed and swung at her. (He's a 1year old). Other businesses that handle cats wear special sleeves when handling cats. We left feeling pretty bad. And he's actually a sweet little kitty.

The vets at this office are all great, and I have been taking my cats here for several years. Unfortunately, all of their appointment slots book more than a month in advance. I will have to take my cats to an office with more availability.

After more excuses as to why they cant get my dog in, i decided to cancel the care club, they now want to charge me an additional 300 dollars to cancel. DO NOT GO TO VCA THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! my dog got hurt, the office said they didn't have any appointments for several weeks, tried to take my dog to their ER (Scottdale location) and they had too many patients for the ER hours. they have no problem charging 100 a month, you get unlimited doctor visits just have to schedule 1 month out, because everyone know a month in advance of needing the doctor. VCA use to be great place. now they are horrible. I took my pup to another hospital and they have been seen 3 times in a week.

This is an amazing veterinary practice, Dr. Ansems is great and I’m so happy we found her. A lot of the reviews mention being angry at not getting in in time but that doesn’t take away from the great care this practice provides, it isn’t their fault that there is an over abundance of pets and not enough vets to care for them. They truly care about your pets and it’s shown. One of our pets was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer and Dr. Ansems has been amazing in following up, sending emails, texts and advice as well as responding to my texts after hours. The techs always send a follow up email to check on my pets after I’ve been there, the quality of the care is top notch. I’ve sent all of my family and friends here. I’m so thankful we found this practice. Thank you!

After being a client here for 20 years, it took over 2 months to schedule a rabies vaccine for my dog, which the clinic rescheduled once. I was 10 minutes late for the appointment, & was told I would not be seen. This place used to be great when Dr. Walker was here. No more.

Similar to the other earlier review, they provide great care but it's severely disappointing to pay for a care membership where you cannot be scheduled for a visit for over a month. Perhaps the best perk of the membership is that it covers scheduled exams, but this perk is redundant when your pet cannot be seen within a reasonable timeframe. I had an appointment that was scheduled 4 weeks out canceled today due to staffing issues, and cannot be rescheduled for over a month. Ronnie with whom I spoke was not understanding of how this is not okay and proceeded to monologue about how availability cannot be guaranteed and all the other perks of their care membership. Very disappointed to say the least and will likely be cancelling my membership if something does not change ASAP.

Very unorganized and a money grab. Be sure to sort the ratings newest first for the most accurate ratings. I've only taken my dog to VCA locations but this one is far from the typical VCA experience. I've always felt welcomed and trusted VCA until now. My first and only appointment here I was asked to arrive early since the vet had to leave early. After arriving 30 minutes early, I was seen 20 minutes after my initial appointment time. I took their time into consideration and they did not do the same. During the exam, the vet did try to upsell/push a lot of unnecessary shots so just do your research as to what is actually needed before coming here. Since my first time visiting here, I've had many issues with the vet prescribing the yearly supply of my dog's medication. This has never been an issue with other vets. Eventually this was all worked out and the vet did write another prescription as promised initially, but I had to jump through many unnecessary hoops to make this happen. (How the prescriptions were written: 6 months, 30 days, 4 months. Not quite the yearly prescription as promised but close enough. Luckily we have some extras to get by) If you like to argue, this is the perfect place to take your pet! Aubrey, the receptionist, was very rude, combative, argumentative and unprofessional on the phone after I mentioned my concerns and requested my dog's remaining prescription. If the calls are recorded, I highly recommend management listens in on her calls to help train her. Aubrey is the main reason why I will not be coming back to this location. Sophia is the only redeeming quality of this location. She had my dog's remaining prescription filled very quickly. At the end of the day, everything worked out, but it did require much more work than other vets. You have to be on your toes to ensure they're not taking advantage of you and your money. Just be aware and smart when going here. I ended up calling another VCA for help after speaking with Aubrey since I felt lost. I want to give a huge shoutout to the VCA in Scottsdale for being willing to jump in and assist with my dog's medication if needed. They even said they would use the current blood work records from this location to fill the prescription after one of their vets gives my dog an exam. They made it a very simple process and put my dogs health and well-being first, unlike this location.
