WaFd has just destroyed their bill pay function rendering it virtually unusable. It now takes 10 or 11 clicks to do what I used to be able to do in 2 or 3 clicks, and the refresh speed after you submit a payment is terrible. The bank acknowledged this issue in a letter to customers but says it will take 2-3 MONTHS to fix it. Seriously, if the bank can implement a terrible change overnight, why can't they simply reverse it to restore functionality??? Why does WaFd think customers will stay for this??

All around it's a useless bank With useless people on the phone. Long-wait times, and humiliating bank hours and branch closures around the valley. The 800 number is even worse.

Hi, I was very disappointed with my recent in-person visit to the Washington Federal location at 2198 E Camelback Rd Suite 100, Phoenix, Arizona 85016. I had a CD that was maturing on November 4th and needed to get options and current rates, plus I had additional monies I wanted to add to it. I called ahead and explained what I wanted/needed to do and was told I did not need to make an appointment. I arrived at the branch around 3:15(ish) on November 4th, and was met by Christina and explained what I needed to do. She seemed a bit confused and didn't have a clear understanding of how my CD was set up or what I actually had. I'm not sure what the representatives see on their screen, but I assumed that she knew how my dividends were being paid. This made me a little uneasy, plus I was not taken to a desk to discuss but yet left standing at the front counter. I asked for someone else to assist, and she called for Amy, who is the manager. She asked what I needed to do and I explained and she said, "oh, she can do that". She did explain that the system is not set up for her to see how my CD dividends were paid, that she needed to click further down to see that information. Amy offered no further help knowing I was uncomfortable with Christina's assistance. I said at this point I will close my account and go somewhere else. Amy's response was, "that is your choice". Amy seemed more concerned with the Christmas decorations in the office than helping a customer with $10,000 to invest in their bank. I do hope this is escalated, if nothing else just awareness of how this branch is responding to customers. And if Washington Federal is more interested in customers with more than what I had that day to invest, then I'll understand. Thank you for your time.

This is the worst WaFd branch. Staff is rude and yells over one another. They made me remove articles of clothing. They were asking for personal information when they had my bank card and ID. They would not allow me to withdraw all the cash that I needed to from my account. And the manager was asking for my bank information and never answered me as to why. Then condescendingly said have a nice day. Overall immature and inept.
