Came here on New Year’s Eve after discovering my sweet boy developed a large, infected hot spot on his neck where his collar was under the care of family. I was completely freaked out as I didn’t know what it was at the time, however, the staff, the nurses, and the doctor were incredibly friendly, sincere, and thoughtful. They took care of me and my boy and made the entire process as stress free as possible. Additionally, upon informing a nurse that my dog was reactive towards other dogs, they went to the back to check if there were many other dogs around that could set off my dog. I am super grateful for the team here for what they do and for operating on a holiday late at night. Shiner and I appreciate you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Our cat Juninho was seen at Yavapai Emergency Animal Hospital on 12/24/2023. The doctor prescribed Buprenorphine, an opioid used for pain control. We took home nine syringes with 0.15 ml each, to be given each every 8 to 12 hours. This supply was to last only three days, which was not enough, so a couple of days later, we called in and ordered another supply of nine syringes. We picked up the new supply in the late morning of 12/27/2023, and started giving it to the cat in the evening. After the first two doses were given at the due times, we noticed that he started feeling uncomfortable and his symptoms got worse during the night. We wondered what could be going wrong, and after much thinking, we decided to inspect the seven remaining syringes. We were shocked to see that none of them had the prescribed 0.15 ml. The fluid content varied from 0.05 to 0.1 ml, and the rest was just air. A picture of some of the syringes is attached to show the incorrect dosage and the empty space inside. Needless to say that the incorrect low doses were ineffective, causing stress and suffering to our cat. It would never cross our minds that we should double check that the syringes were filled correctly. This never happened before elsewhere when any of our cats needed similar medication. It is conceivable that an unintentional mistake due to neglect or another reason might occur when filling one syringe. Nevertheless, that would be unacceptable in any case, let alone that the mistake occurred with all nine syringes. We ended up having to use two syringes at a time to make up the prescribed dosage, and consequently we ran out of syringes too soon. If in the future we need to fill a prescription at YEAH, will we have to double check each time? We feel it would be hard to trust medication dispensed by YEAH in the future. We're not complaining about the doctor or the front desk, just the incorrect prescription filling.

Yavapai Emergency Animal Hospital is stellar. April at the front desk graciously answered my questions and welcomed my sick dog into the hospital. Hannah the triage nurse was a compassionate communicator who explained the diagnostic procedures that would help my dog. VeterinarianMarion Cambrelin is highly skilled in medical treatment options and healing protocols. She updated me with progress on my pets health and took the time to speak with my local veterinarian. Do not hesitate to seek healthcare for your pet at Yavapai Emergency Animal Hospital. They have earned the reputation of best in State.

They did an amazing job on my dog, who needed major surgery due to a bunch of socks he had eaten that had to be removed. They took great care of him and were very communicative through the whole process. Yes, they are real vets who know what they are doing. Yes, it was expensive, but it's surgery and they are very clear about the minimum and maximum cost up front and offered multiple payment options. Never thought we needed pet insurance but it's definitely worth looking into after this experience.

The people at Yavapai emergency animal are absolute professionals. We took a dog in with a broken leg, they saw him right away. All expenses were discussed up front everything seemed fair. The care for our little guy was fantastic. The facilities are spotless. Thank you staff and community that support this essential establishment.

The care was excellent as was the male doctor I saw, explained very well. The very high cost of services makes this so unaffordable to so many animals which is very sad ? The urgent care which many vets like to recommend as being less expensive is owned by the same owner , closes at 7.00 pm !!!! Not much difference in price so wish local veterinarian would fact check ✔️ before stating it is less expensive and let people know it is not 24 hours but closes at 7.00 pm !!!

I took our dog, Lana in this place yesterday per Verde Vet advised. I told the vet tech that Lana has electrolytes imbalance. They took our dog in the backroom and just left her lying on the floor. After almost 2 hours upon arrival, I realized that they did not attend to our dog. The vet came to talk to me about plans and procedures then I signed the estimated cost and agreement, only to turn around in less than 60 seconds that Lana was already in active dying stage. Lana was not given a proper triage. My family is grieving and miss her terribly. I regret for trusting them fully to care for our dog.

ZERO stars, this place is evil, charging people $5000 - $7000 just to be seen, its disgusting. This might be another foreign owned conglomerate that is ripping off locals when they need help the most. How are people supposed to care for their pets when places like this evil one gouges us, relentlessly, for money, their charges are unreasonable, unfair, and downright evil. Five grand just to be seen is outrageous, stay far away from this horrific place. They have caused many many people hardship and pain, just to boost their profits. Why would anyone support these demons? Don't.

We can't say enough about this Hospital and staff. Last night we had to make a decision to put our 13 year old Aussie down, as he was in pain and had cancer, and we tried everything. We took our beloved Brewster their and they were so compassionate and caring and they had a beautiful seperate room for us that we could spend time with Brewster and when the time came, they were so caring, I thought we were the only ones that were crying. The price was very reasonable for an emergency visit. Thank you Laura and Sarah? and everyone else.

Dr. Carron is great. I have been there twice this year and she was friendly and knowledgeable both times. However, the vet tech I got last night was not. She had a serious attitude. She rolled her eyes and made snarky comments. That is not what I want to dealwith while worrying about my puppy and paying a fortune.

I have been here twice, both for a broken nail, both times; service was friendly, thorough, and prompt. They made sure my pet was taken care of, and since it was a quick and fast fix with no additional surgery or medication, Yavapai did not charge me.

We have unfortunately had to use YEAHs services twice in the last couple months but if you need emergency services, I don't think I've encountered a better place. Of course, it's not cheap - however - their services are shockingly reasonable! We expected insult to be added to injury with the bill and that was not the case. Staff seems to be genuine and straightforward. Our Bosch is lucky to have this place around! ❤️

Only go there if it's an absolute emergency and every other clinic is closed or full. They will overcharge at every opportunity, and take advantage of the fact they know that you love your pet and will do anything for them.I brought in a cat with a blocked urinary tract, which THEY SAID was an extreme emergency that could cause his death at any moment. Yet kept me in a waiting room for three hours while they tallied up a bill of $10,000. When I said I couldn't pay that much they tried to strong-arm me to use financing and pet credit cards... many times. Eventually they came in with a $2,500 treatment option, which i agreed to, then refused to start any treatment until I placed a deposit on my credit card. All the while my poor cat is sitting in a cage in the back of the hospital NOT BEING TREATED.When they finally went to treat him they found the blockage was on the outside and simply scraped off.... they did refund a small amount due to not needing to do the things in the plan, BUT IT STILL COST $1,500!!!!!
