Got a prius with a nail on the tire, brought back and was swapped without a hitch. Returned it to san diego and again, no problem. That is what i like. Compared to enterprise, i got the walk away insurance and the guy that received the car said i had to pay for a scaped fender. Showed him the picture i took before i left and the scrape was already there. Had to call the branch to let him talk to the agent, the only time he let me go, then was charged $20 for late return, i returned the car 4 hours earlier than the return window. Beware of enterprise. Im glad avis is there. Thank you again avis!

Mike Darro, independent operator/owner of Avis/Budget airport and gateway mall location is unprofessional and/or unethical. Admitted to inappropriate fuel charge, committed to reversing…6 calls, 40 days later-no credit back, AND worse yet, not one call back from Mr. Darro. There are choices in this town, Enterprise and Hertz, I would highly suggest either. Both have been great, never a need to escalate to corporate for resolution.

This rental was a total disaster and this has been the absolute worst rental experience of my entire life.I booked a Kia Soul two weeks ahead, paid in advance, but when I picked up the car, they handed me a sedan, claiming they didn't have the one I booked. Shockingly, not a word of apology or explanation was offered.I also paid for a GPS, crucial for my four-day trip, but surprise, they didn't have one. When I complained, the person at the counter, Andera, was rude and unhelpful, saying they couldn't provide what I booked or any better alternative. I reluctantly took the unreliable sedan.To top it off, when I returned the car, they charged my personal credit card for the rental, even though my company had already paid with a travel card. Andera did the same thing again, showing no understanding of the situation and very embarrassing. The careless actions caused a lot of issues and troubled me with my company after my trip!This whole experience was not just shameful; it was a masterclass in unprofessionalism. I wouldn't recommend at all this rental service to anyone. It was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Wonderful people, very helpful, caring. We had a rock fly up and hit windshield called our insurance filed clam turned in car told them we reported it and they were happy and so were we.

2 times in 2 months they didn’t have “inventory”. This time they canceled our reservation the day before our trip. The ineptitude of this nationwide company is staggering. At all cost avoid Avis.

Avis' website rented us a car at the closing time for the local Avis. We did not catch this error. We arrived late -- something we could have avoided if we'd received any notice from Avis or the local Avis of the potential problem. We could not pick up the car. We called Avis Customer Service the next morning and received an adjustment of one day and a discount for our trouble. When one of us went to pick up the car, John (based on the receipt) refused to rent the car, even after our offer to pay the original price. John's treatment (angry, rude, aggressive) was so disproportionate to the issue, we were concerned for him. I contacted someone at the airport, where there also is a franchise, and asked a worker to apologize to John, saying that we had called Avis Customer Service, because we believed the problem originated at the Avis website. (A call from the local Avis when we did not show up at closing also would have helped the situation.) The worker called me back, saying that John was following policy in not renting us a car. Avis Customer Service had said we could pick up the car; one person saying we had 15 hours and another saying we had 24 hours. However, Avis Customer Service would not intervene with the local Avis. The result was two stranded 70+ year-olds on a vacation without a car. We used Lyft and spent a chunk of vacation trying to find an alternative.

I have (had) rented cars from this agency for over 12 years. a few weeks ago I called to rent a car only to be met with an employee yelling at me for calling. He stated that I have to quite calling while he has customers at the counter; it is hard to tell on the phone that he had customers. I had called a few hours earlier. I did not say a word during the conversation. I have never had anyone yell at me for trying to make a reservation. I rented a car on Turo (great service, nice car, and much cheaper price) and will do so every time I go to Prescott.

I had a vehicle reserved through another vendor however, when I went to pick it up, it was no longer available. I called Avis and they were able to help. I was provided excellent service from pick up. Your team at 3280 Gateway Blvd Ste 310 in Prescott, AZ is amazing!!!

The man who owns this Avis, is extremely unprofessional and rude. I got confused about my reservation, because my confirmation listed the airport as well as the gateway mall, and my Avis app navigated me to the airport location. He was so snotty and condescending, I was shocked. I cannot believe he's the actual owner of the business! I was nothing but kind, and polite. He had no reason to talk to me like I was an inconvenience. I am not one to leave negative reviews, I hate to do that! But this guy was over the top.

I have rented cars from this Avis for years, never again. When I called today to make a reservation the guy that answered could not have been a bigger a*** He started yelling about that I can't keep calling and that he had customers at the counter. I had called a few hours earlier, they did not answer. Apparently you can only call once.
