I generally appreciate their service. I love Dr Hinton and NP Copeland’s expertise and care. However I cannot get seen for a sick visit. When I called early Monday morning I was told they couldn’t see my child because they were full all week and would only have two spots between Thursday & Friday and that I “probably wouldn’t get them”. I said can I make an appointment? She told me no and that I can only make appointments same day if sick. I said so do you want me to call Thursday? She recommended I don’t waste my time and repeated that I couldn’t get the appointment. So I cannot make an appointment if my child is sick but I can make one if my child is not sick? That’s disappointing and an absolute neglect of service. So they are basically cash cows but don’t care about current illness. She also didn’t even ask if my child was okay. I take three children there and now I’ll have to find another place.

A pediatric clinic should answer phones and return messages. This is another example of a company not having staff but wanting to make money. It's ridiculous. Especially for children. We're not calling for fun. We're calling because something is concerning with our child but it's not an emergency to take them to the ER. It doesn't build confidence. I'd rather just drive the hour and take my child to an office that answers the phone! Don't bring your child here. It's faster to drive to Phoenix and come home. You'll still be waiting for a return call to just get your child in!

The whole office would be great if you took out the people who work the front desk no sense of customer service skills. One of them asks you something, you answer and the other person starts laughing for no reason. -Made me feel like I was being laughed at or said something wrong-. Really loud about their "private conversations", like it's a children's Drs office...This isn't the first time, been going there for more then 2 years and still the same attitude.

Taking my son to the practice for a few times for checkups and minor things. The voice found the staff pleasant friendly and the care being pretty good. The office seems clean while organized and we weren't kept very long waiting for appointment. I did not experience what seems like some others have.

Where do I start.. I called to schedule my sons 1 year well check which was in November they told me they had nothing available until December 10th then I realized the 10th of December passed and I never received a phone call to confirm or cancel I then call the office to see what happened and they said they just canceled the appointment without my consent.. since I had them on the phone i went ahead and rescheduled once again they had nothing till today January 25th, his appointment was scheduled for 10:30 we arrived at 10:05.. We were then put in a room and weren’t seen until 11 it was ridiculous then it took 20 min for a nurse to come in and give my child his vaccine’s.. and don’t even get me started on trying to get a sick visit for my child.. they never answer the phone, they send you to the nurses line and you have to leave a message and then wait to get a call back.. I do not recommend ponderosa pediatrics or seeing Jeanne Gibian .. she was very rude and judgmental that’s all I will say about her.

I see that there are a fair number of negative reviews. I’m sure that individual experience and individual doctors probably drives quite a lot of experience, but I’ve had nothing but good interactions here. All around very easy to work with and well run doctors office.

I've been taking my child to Ponderosa Pediatrics for 5+ years. Originally for Dr. Hinton but we switched to Dr. Tidroski after meeting her. Both are amazing providers. The wait times were always excessive and the front office staff was usually impatient and rude. The medical staff was always great so we stayed with the practice. Unfortunately it seems they have done away with sick call and it's impossible to get a sick apt. They're booked for weeks out and always say to take your child to ER or Urgent Care. I cannot recommend this practice; especially since Dr. Tidroski has left.

Love Dr. Hinton and Michelle Copeland,NP. They both explain things very well and answer all questions.Michelle was exceptional when my little girl was in and had low O2 and she sent us to the ER by ambulance, good thing because she had RSV.I always get a call back the same day. Have always been able to get a same day sick visit except for 1 time, it was just the next day though.Very satisfied with the care we have received. Thank you

This practice is not worth staying at with Dr. Tidroski gone. She was the only thing keeping me there dealing with the lack of care on the office staffs part. I made the switch today to a different practice after having nothing but problems with the office staff since my child's 4 month appointment, 7 months ago. Good luck getting a sick visit when you need one. After calling three separate days to get in, being told to go to urgent care, and then calling three times today alone from the time that they opened with no call back after what urgent care treated my son with isn't working I am done. My son was shown no urgency in care from this practice and it is disgusting. Hire some new office staff and triage nurses if you can't keep up with demand enough to treat sick children with quality care.

Pondersosa Pediatrics is about making your child come in even though your child is well. They no longer allow well visits via zoom and cannot tell you why other than they're contracted with Dignity Healthcare and they won't allow it. My son is on the autism spectrum and has done very well not getting sick so I would prefer they see him via zoom and kindly asked and they denied him that. They'll tell you that their office is split with well on one side and sick on the other. There isn't a joining wall just a fish tank with a whole heck of a lot of air space over and around it. When my son had gone in for issues related to allergies, we ended up having a girl on one side of us with a high fever while another child was walking around trying not to vomit (poor things). It's a doctor's office, I get it but all the more reason they should honor a parents wishes. We were able to get one such appointment in 2020 in the height of covid and one of the doctors actually asked me why I felt the need for my child to be seen online versus bringing him in. Um hellllooo??? Everyone was on lockdown and were advised not to even go to the store if you didn't have to and this doctor wanted to know why I didn't feel comfortable bringing my child into a room filled with sick patients? The doctor we prefer to see is Dr. Hinton and assume everyone else does too since he's booked until September which isn't a problem for us since my child isn't sick so no worries there, but have forced us to make an in person appointment. My son receives speech therapy and requires a script (2 actually) from the doctor which we usually get while we're there or they'll sign it and fax it after an appointments been made but have denied him that as well. My son has been receiving speech therapy for 10 years. Sadly, Ponderosa Pediatrics never notified me of their decision to not fill his scripts. I was notified by his speech therapist today that Ponderosa Pediatrics notified them stating that they would not fill his script until he comes in for his appointment in September. That's right. They're making my son wait for over 2 months for something he needs and has been receiving for 10 years. Pondersosa Pediatrics and Dignity Healthcare are completely fine with forcing a well child to come in and wait for a scheduled appointment (and you will indeed wait) with sick patients and make that same child wait over 2 months for speech therapy and I have to assume at this point, his second script is on hold as well. We shouldn't have to see some random doctor to get his scripts filled. That's the last straw. Cram as many kids in there as you can Ponderosa Pediatrics/ Dignity Healthcare, sick or not, because you're wallets only stay full if they keep getting sick, right? Their wallets come first not your child's well being. We won't be returning to this office. Currently looking for a provider that puts my childs needs and well being first.

Oh boy where do I start with this one. The care here is just ridiculous. I have brought both my kids here and have nothin but bad experiences. I took my youngest in to see Jeanne Gibian and she was very rude. I was telling her about the lump in my daughters neck and then when I proceeded to tell her that I have the same lump and I was worried that it was genetics she told me to shush and that she didn’t care what I had to say. Then she had my child’s diaper off doing an exam and kept calling a little girl a boy and I kept correcting her and she kept doing it. This woman also ripped a tongue depressor out of my daughters mouth because she bit down on it. I also made a mistake in filling out stuff for the flu shot and granted permission when I didn’t want it for her, when I told Dr. T she was ok with it and provided my wishes and didn’t give it to her. Jeanne Gibian said they should have given it to her any way.Now for my other daughter she has seen many doctors in there for stomach issues. Every single person chalked it up to just constipation issues never did any kind of tests on her. I have taken her to many doctors now and finally found one that cares enough and did testing on her and she has celiac disease and is allergic to cows milk. This place could care less about the children as long as they are getting their paychecks. Do not recommend this place at all.

The wait time is just horrible. I love the doctors but I just hate how it’s a minimum of an hour plus wait.I wish they would give us real appointment times

March 2022 by Breana Smith
I am so frustrated with Ponderosa Pediatrics. Let me first start by saying I LOVE Dr. Tidroski and she is the only reason I struggle to decide on switching offices. At my sons 4 month appointment they were out of two of his vaccines. They asked me to come back the following week. I called to make the appointment , explain which ones he’s needing, show up only to be asked for money for the appt (I was previously told there would be no charge since they were out) and the receptionist tells me that whoever took my appointment didn’t even put down why I was coming in. I then get taken back to a room only to be told again by the nurse they don’t have them still. They asked me to wait in town if I would like as I live 30 minutes away because they should be coming in at noon, then still never got them. Fast forward to today, I had an appointment at 3:30. I get a call this morning from someone who first tells me they don’t have them, then no wait they do, then they don’t, and finally the call ended with “we do have them, you can come in for your appointment today.” I get the baby all packed up and start heading that way, and call once again to make sure they haven’t used them already only to be told that “we still haven’t gotten them in.” With my work schedule I can only come in on Thursdays but of course next Thursday is booked and they can’t squeeze me in even after giving me the run around for three weeks now. They try to reschedule me for March 10th at which point my son will be over 5 months and too old for one of the vaccines. I am SO tired of the disorganization of this office. I am trying to care for my son and get him the vaccines he needs in time but it doesn’t seem important to these people. I am now going somewhere other than his pediatrician to get his vaccines and have already been billed for the ones he hasn’t gotten from pp so now I have to call to get those taken off.Update to the situation: Adrian with Ponderosa Pediatrics called today and apologized profusely. He did his best to remedy to situation caused by miscommunication. He was very professional and understanding which I appreciated.

All I can say is if it weren’t for dr Hinton my daughter would go elsewhere they do not care if you have a pediatric question they will talk down to you, and make you feel d*** for even calling. I called because my daughter had an inhaler but dr Hinton told us we could stop using it and now 5 months later we’re having the same issue and the lady who answered the phone was talking to me like I was d**** and spent an hour on the phone for her to just tell me it would be easier to take my daughter to the ER
