The customer service agent that I met with when I picked up the rental was professional and efficient. There were no issues whatsoever when picking up the car. Returning the car was a different story as the Prescott location was closed at 2:15 p.m. on Monday and the hours listed are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. I attempted to call several times later that day and the following Tuesday only to be hung up on. Clearly their is a staffing or attendance issue that needs to be addressed at this location. I would be livid if I was picking up a car to find the store closed.

I rented a car out of state and when I arrived in Arizona I had multiple brake malfunction warnings and check engine lights. I contacted the original Hertz and they were of ZERO help. I stopped at Hertz in Prescott and was greeted with the highest level of customer service I could have expected. Benjamin A. took care of the problem and had me in a new car within minutes. No problems, no questions, no band-aids over the problem. He said he would handle it with the original location and gave me his direct contact information in the event I had any other problems. I felt so valued and appreciated. This experience saved my business with Hertz. Thank you Ben!

I love Hertz Car Rental! Super Quick and easy! The cars are always clean, and the staff's always friendly. Would definitely rent from here ANY- time!

Terrible mess. They are charging me $25 a day for some reason even though I turned my car in and can't get through on the phone. This company seems to be a scam.

My son's car broke down and he rented a car from this location. After towing his car to shop he walked 20 minutes to Hertz. As he was very close they called him and said they had no cars. He was there at 4:30 and they has gone home. Obviously they just wanted to leave early. I looked online and they were taking reservations for the next day showing availability. And there were cars in the lot. Really left mt son in a lurch.

If there was a way to give NO STARS, I would. I showed up to pick up my car 15 minutes early- why would I not expect them to be there?? But no, no one was there. No one answering the phone. I got through to Victoria who acted as if I was inconveniencing HER for expecting my car to be ready. When I explained I would have to now get an Uber back to the location, would she be there in an hour, she said, “There’s no guarantee.” Are you kidding me?!

I am renting from hertz for the first time this week and hit has by far been the worst car rental experience I have ever had. First they screwed up the pick up and drop off location forcing me to drag my family across town in a cab after just getting off a plane. Then they tell me that to change the drop of location to where is should have been in the first place will cost me $400, just to put it where is should have been in the first place! Now I need to repeat the process of an expensive cab ride but this time at 2am in downtown Seattle with children. I will not be using hertz again and will just return to enterprise for all my rentals.

I used to be the branch manager of this store. I never have been treated with such disrespect, and utter discontempt for people's lives. I was fired because of a vehicle that wasn't even due for an oil change by a GM who knew about the problem. The open door policies never returned calls, and they fired another employee that was under workman's comp for a hurt back. That other employee was Mike who appears in several reviews. I wouldn't discourage renters from using anyone they wish, but I think they should know the truth behind what really happened at this store and why it fell apart. Hertz cited staffing issues but FAIL to mention it was at their own hands. It's a shame people have to say anything like this but thanks to their actions, people have suffered greatly and customers lost faith in a great store. And the issues with the false reporting of stolen vehicles was brought up in several meetings, a long with many many MANY other issues Hertz has been sued for. Long before they every started. I would think that one time, they say sorry but no. Just one big F you and refusal to pay the ordered back pay to their terminated employees.

I just read a thing on hertz rental company about a story on yahoo news about this company reporting false car thefts.i will never use this company ever again after reading the news on hertz having people arrested for auto theft.

I am so disappointed in customer service. I have a significant family emergency and need to cancel a trip. Via the website and app, there was no way to request the cancellation fee be waived. When I called, the automated message let me know I would be charged a 5% fee, which would be attached to my rental, just for wanting to SPEAK WITH A REAL HUMAN. That is unreal to me. I am having a family emergency, which should constitute consideration to waive the fee, and I can't even talk to a real human without being afraid I'm going to be charged more. I am 100% DONE using Hertz for my rental needs due to this level of price gauging and horrible service.
