I LOVE this place! So cool! I have now been there twice and both times bought some super, one of a kind items. First time were cool orange vintage candle stick holders and this time aluminum travel cake plate. Amazing! This is my new favorite. Please visit them and keep them in business so I can continue to come into town and shop!! Great place for sure!

Went exploring downtown Prescott this past weekend and what a find I found! Avalon Antiques is one of two stores next to each other at north end of Cortez St. The other one is Mid Century Madness. I'll dupe the review under the other business. The place has so much history - tin ceilings, original hardwood floors, even the front façade is real cool. Marilyn assisted me as I walked thru. There is something for everyone here. I'm such an advocate of supporting self-owned, small businesses and this is one that MUST be supported. Next door is Mid Century Madness (also owned by same woman) and again - up my alley. Great original furniture and accessories all in the MCM vibe. Marilyn also let me in the 'overflow' space on the opposite side of Avalon. She was just awesome to chat with, giving me some history on Prescott and that particular section of the town. I left with some great treasures - both physical and informative. I can't stress how important it is to support both these businesses. The other businesses along the street also need support from all of us. Every store has something for everyone. I'll definitely be back.

I love unique stores and this definitely a good one. They have a lot of unique items, some way before my time. I love glass pieces and have quite a few a decent prices. I highly recommend and will be back!

Any store too lazy to update their hours is not a store for me. We made a special trip up here just to go to the store and guess what? They're are closed even though the sign says they're open.

Visiting Prescott for the day and, as fellow MCM shop owners ourselves, we were excited to check this store out. We were 1 of 2 couples inside when the shop owner struck up a conversation with the other patrons. The conversation went from small talk to politics quickly when the shop owner explicitly asked the couple if they were “conservative or liberal”. In what universe is that an appropriate question to ask a customer? Our enjoyment of the vintage goods and our willingness to purchase items we were seriously considering was tainted by the owner loudly covering all manners of inappropriate topics in minutes: politics, COVID-19, outsiders, etc. Belittling people who wear masks when you have you customers actively wearing masks shopping in your store was either a passive aggressive slight against us or stupid not to mention tacky. In your own words, “it’s your shop, you can do what you want”. But as a shop who truthfully depends on tourists, it’s in your best interest to not speak so disparaging of people & places when those types of people are right in your shop.

Coolest store in Prescott. Best selection of mid century in Prescott. The quality and prices are hands down the best in town. The owner is an amazing woman, so knowledgeable in her field it blew my mind. And she is hysterical. She also seems willing to move her product, negotiable. The atmosphere and colors alone make it worth the 3 hr drive..

Really enjoyed visiting Mid-Century Madness. They have some the nicest antiques, and the employee was nice and friendly. Jewelry, hats, clothes, and Nicknacks. I enjoyed shopping here

I'm huge on supporting small businesses so my bf and I were ecstatic to find this furniture store. We found a coffee table that we liked and figured we would purchase it and see how it worked in our space. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. To my surprise, I found out that there are no returns which was never stated to us at all. And on top of that, the owner won't even offer store credit. I am super disappointed to say the least and won't be returning to this store again. I understand that it's difficult to be a small business, however, not even offering store credit is a bit absurd.

Last 2 times we tried to visit, it was well into business hours, but they were closed. Store owner replied that it was due to an illness in the family. Apparently, the illness lasted for many weeks, but the owner didn't bother hiring a replacement clerk, putting a notice on the door, or even putting a phone answering message notifying customers about when it would be closed or open. In short, no consideration at all for customers.

Strike one.. a few months ago I went next door to ask if they could open the store (they own/manage two side by side vintage stores). The woman acted annoyed because she had a customer in the other side and said she couldn't let me in until the other person left. Not a very customer friendly way to run a business... Perhaps they could get some security cameras or hire another person. Closed doors sure means a lot less opportunity to sell. Strike two... went in again last weekend. The same woman (assuming she's the cheap owner) - before even saying hello to us- immediately snips at my son as he walks in "keep your hands to yourself". We sure will keep our hands to ourselves- and buy our mid-century items in Phoenix from now on. Too bad as I'm a local and would prefer to buy locally.

3/17/17: Haven't gone yet.... SO! 3🌟's. I am driving to Prescott tomorrow, however, and am planning on visiting this shop--DUE TO the review of another person (Preston Cooley) who gave it high marks and gave another antique shop very low marks based on the extremely rude owner. That is a helpful review! As a previous small business owner myself, I can guarantee that no owner in their right mind treats a customer that way!! Looking forward to my visit!! 😆 (& thank you Preston!)

Very friendly Staff, if your a lover of 50s' and 60's mid century modern furniture and antiques this was a good stop. we found a capistan Table and were very interested in it, the woman working the counter that day was Very Patient with us when we tried (but admittedly we shouldn't have) to figure out how to get it to expand. she nicely asked us not to try to open it, she explained how it worked instead.
