Do not go here, waited 30 minutes to not be attended to and have the manager Michelle talk rudely to me to wait my turn after asking if they had other help. I asked after a pause in their conversation on persoanl things!! She saw me standing there and not once turn to acknowledge me or say they were short staffed or to say I'll be right with you! 2 people in the store and one is the cashier. Worst customer service especially from a manager!! Do yourself a favor and avoid this store! Go down the atrret to the other brand, got right in to the fish section someone actually is there, in and out in less than 8 minutes by Costco!!

Recently, I tried to get an appointment just to have my dogs nails trimmed. I called several times but no one answered. So, then I drove over to the store and tried to get a walk in appointment. There wasn't any dogs in the salon. The girl told me she couldn't take me because she had a difficult dog coming in soon, so she asked me to come in at 2:30. When I came in she looked up my records and said I needed proof of a rabies vaccination. At that point I was very upset, so I left. I then realized that my dog had his rabies license tags on. Why did she not ask me if he was licensed as you can't get a license without a rabies certificate or ask me when I made the appointment to bring the certificate in?I think this is the worse customer service ever. Maybe you should close this salon if you make it so difficult to get an appointment. It was only for a nail trim.

Saturday, August 26, 2023. Went to this Petco this morning at 11:00 am. I attempted to make a $25.00 purchase, presenting a $100 bill to pay for it. The woman at the register said she couldn't break the bill. She made no attempt to call anyone to get change. The store was packed full of people. The store is quite large. To me it is unbelievable a store so large and with so many customers on a busy weekend could not give change for a single transaction. It was a total waste of my time and effort. They just lost a lifetime of my business and money $$$$$. Luckily there are many feed stores in Prescott, that sell the same products.

If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. Petco has absolutely no business in selling exotic pets, especially reptiles and amphibians. They are kept in terrible conditions 24/7 and the tanks are far too small. Animals of the same species that should not be housed together are crammed in tiny enclosures together, such as ball pythons. They advertise many of their animals as beginner pets when, in reality they are not. Personally I have seen dead baby crested geckos, bearded dragons, and leopard geckos. Often they are looking worse for wear, with ribs and hip bones showing. As far as poor enclosures, let's take ball pythons for example: The rule of thumb with snakes is, two sides of the tank should be equal to the full length of the snakes body or LESS (and they should NOT be kept together unless for breeding, which in this case that is not what the circumstances are since they do not breed the animals in store, and their ball pythons are not sexually mature) however the sides of the tanks combined are not even AS long as the full diameter of one snake, given that the snakes are longer than THREE SIDES of the tank combined. Also let's take a look at the likelihood of the animals' mental health given the obvious horrific physical health. Leopard geckos for instance are territorial, solitary animals that should only be kept together in pairs of two under extremely unlikely and rare circumstances. They keep over three leopard geckos in a tank at once. They would probably be fighting if they weren't depressed and lying down with labored breathing all the time. Every one of their animal species requires a hide to shy away in order to avoid stress and feel comfortable If you've been in the store, you have probably seen those half logs, right? Believe it or not, those aren't even eligible to be considered hides. A hide should have an opening just large enough for the animal to fit inside, and should ideally only have one opening with plenty of space to hide inside. The half logs are in nearly every reptile enclosure and almost none of the animals have an actual hide. Let's go back to the leopard geckos. They have a horizontal hide which has ramps that go to various levels. This isnt really an issue, but they face the opening side towards the glass face, so you can see everything in the hide. They are exposed to the outer lights and any people who may come along and stress them out. This is also the case for crested geckos. Speaking of which! Petco has a rotating stock, however more often than not, they will have crested geckos and crimson giant day geckos. These are arboreal species, meaning they spend most of their time high up in the trees. They need a vertical tank setup in order to simulate this as accurately as possible, and plenty of foliage to climb and hide in(fake or real plants will work) they are however set up in small(per usual) horizontal or even just cube setups with little to no foliage at all. The chameleons(which are usually always in stock) are in one of the largest tanks, however they are still not adequate setups. Chameleons need PLENTY of ventilation which usually means two or more sides of the tanks are made of mesh. This is not the case. Again, to be noted, chameleons like many many other animals they carry should NOT be kept in groups more than 2 individuals. They are another species that should ultimately be kept alone. Petco has usually 4 minimum to the enclosure but the I have seen them keep over SIX individuals in the same tank which has no ventilation. The list seriously goes on and on and not ONE of their enclosures is humane or ideal when it comes to reptiles and amphibians. Please, please, please do NOT buy pets from here. In more cases than not, your animal will die, and this is most devastating for new owners. If you are a keeper, especially a beginner, you are probably very eager to get your first reptile/amphibian. And while your local petco(or petsmart) may seem like the most convenient option, I encourage you to order online, rescue from craigslist, or tr

The "MANAGER" which she VERY curt and rudely informed me she was, snaped that she didn't all pictures to be taken of my dog being groomed. I understand there can be certain business policies and I do respect them however, the way she presented them was rude and offensive. Her overall demeaner was unfriendly. The groomer was friendly however, the overall grooming left a lot to be desired. The overall cut was uneven and was not a good shape for an Australian Shepard - fore and hind legs were uneven and not properly tapered, undercarriage hair was left too long, the chest (mane) was not properly tapered, the ears were trimmed uneven.

I have shopped here for years. Today I was asked if I wanted a bag it would cost.10 cents. You can stick your .10 cent bag up your you know what. I don't know what socialist thought this was a good business decision, but I will not spend one cent in your store because of it. And by the way I was spending an average of $200 a month at Petco. Extremely disappointed!!!!!!

I took my two dogs to Petco for grooming. I have a Lhasa Apsos and a Cavachon, both are senior dogs, both have beards. I explained to the groomer exactly what I wanted done, leave the hair on their noses to grow out into their beards and other specific needs I have learned about for each dog. I paid extra for extra grooming, nail trim extra conditioning etc. When I arrived to pick up my dogs I was told to go pay first which I did including a tip. $182.00. When I went in to pick them up she had shaved off their beards and did a terrible job. I was in shock. I never told her to shave their beards when confronted her response was I saved their beards for cleaner eating. OMG!! I never told her to shave their BEARDS. I am so mad . I complained to Petco and have not heard back. I want a refund.

Very friendly and helpful. I went to petsmart because it was close and I was walking around trying to find someone and I got no help. I went into petco and someone was helping me within a minute. They showed me different products to help our cat because he keeps throwing up. They should me food, other over counter medicines to try. Hands down way better then petsmart. Anytime I need help with our pets I will be Going here and pay extra for quality.

Recently I was working on getting leopard gecko supplies and ordered things online for store pick up from Petco. The staff were nice, and one man helped inform me that my tank was far too big for a tiny hating gecko and I would need to get a few others to not stress the tiny babies out too much. However, they had one leopard gecko left and one or two fat tailed geckos, the one fat tail I saw was fat too big to be housed with the baby gecko. I asked when they were restocking and the lady at the front desk had no idea. It would be cool if the staff could be told when shipments are coming in. Other than that, nice service, and good information.
