My wife and I had such a wonderful experience here for our anniversary!! Everyone was so friendly, and everything seemed to have gone the extra mile!! The prices are very fair as well. I intend to come back to this hotel for more holidays and I would recommend it to anyone!!Rooms: Each room is uniquely themed to different historical figures that had an impact on the local culture!!Nearby activities: There is a bit of everything to do within walking distance!!Noteworthy details: This hotel is a historical site!

My wife and I love coming to Prescott. We usually get an Airbnb near downtown but saw The Grand Highland the last time we were up and wanted to stay here. I got a romantic package that included a bottle of champagne, beautiful roses in a vase, truffles, robes, early check in and late check out! I highly recommend staying here! We will be staying in the Speak Easy room the next time that overlooks the downtown square area .

A few doors down from the Palace Saloon, an excellent location for touring downtown. We had the Big Nose Kate room. A comfy bed and a clawfoot tub. Who could ask for more?

There are quite a few good places to stay in downtown Prescott, but this one is hands down the best historic hotel in Prescott! They have preserved the history of the hotel while fully upgrading and modernizing the amenities. The staff is friendly and very helpful. And the location simply cannot be beat!

Everything you need is there, except a fridge. If you have leftovers often, plan on bringing a cooler or something. Comfortable beds. This place is absolutely charming. It was perfect for the anniversary weekend my wife and I

Spent the weekend for our anniversary. Super cool hotel, great rooms, great service!! My husband asked Steve for something special. He had roses, champagne and chocolates in the room. Thank you for going the extra mile. Will definitely be back!!!

Had two brothers unfamiliar with Arizona come in from out of state and join me for an overnight motorcycle ride, staying at the Grand Highland in Whiskey Row. After a fun stop at Lucy's bar north of Prescott (really nice people), we rode in to find clean, comfortable rooms with real Arizona character. The Grand Highland was the perfect place to stay to fully enjoy what Whiskey Row has to offer.

Such a fun place to stay, smack dab in the middle of Whiskey Row in historic downtown Prescott. Adorable rooms with GORGEOUS bathrooms. Each room has a clawfoot bathtub - next time I'm bringing bubble bath!Perfect place to stay if you want to spend most of your time within walking distance to the town square. Perfect people watching place. Got some great suggestions for wine bars from Nick, one of the front desk clerks at the Grand Highland, as well as some fun history of the hotel. Can't wait to stay here again.

We have nothing but GREAT things to say about The Grand Highland Hotel! My husband & I are AZ natives & decided to stay in our hometown this year for our 10 year wedding anniversary & we’re both so glad we chose The Grand Highland! The staff were extremely helpful & friendly, the rooms were CLEAN, the location was PERFECT! You can walk to do everything from shopping, eating, having drinks etc. Staying here will be our new tradition on our anniversary for years to come! Another special thing to note about The Grand Highland is that all their rooms are decorated differently & have their own unique charm! We stayed in the Capitol Suite this time & it was beautiful! Romantic & relaxing! From the brick walls, to the claw foot tub — perfect. Next time we want to try one of the rooms with the bay windows that overlook Whiskey Row! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you, Grand Highland! You guys are all amazing!Rooms: Charming, unique, clean & beautiful!Walkability: Literally everything you need is within walking distance.

Overall it was a good experience and I would go back. I only have two complaints. First, the website clearly states on the home page that breakfast is provided. This is not true. We were told by the front desk they stopped breakfast in February. The website should no longer list that. It is misleading and makes you think you are getting more out of what you are spending each night. Second, the toilet paper was like sandpaper. Bring your own! Cutting corners like that is unnecessary for the cost per night. Staff was friendly and great location.

We love the grand highland hotel and have stayed there multiple times. However our current stay has been ruined by the new owners attempting to recreate a dance club in the open courtyard directly under our window. The music was so loud in our room we couldn’t have a conversation due to it having a brick wall and single pane windows and the DJ being directly below us (we are in the trails room). We come up from the valley to get away from noise and this ruined our anniversary weekend to reconnect and just be together. If this is what the grand highland will be we will absolutely be finding a quieter less club like scene to stay at. So disappointed and will complain in the morning when checking out of an unusable room. Edited to add this will be continuing every Friday from 5-10(per the DJ) and finally ended at 10:30. Will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

I was so in love with this hotel/venue.We had booked our wedding in '22 & had signed contract and paid half of our dues for our wedding that was scheduled for '24.January of this year, they canceled our wedding because they decided to build a speak easy...I understand every business has needs, and those businesses need to adjust for those needs. But to just blatantly cancel our signed and agreed contract is just wrong. To have mine and my fiances hopes up that we had found the perfect location and we had finalized all of the other wedding plans, just to find out we have to start over from scratch is so upsetting. That's not the way anyone should do business. If you have a contract, you should honor that.

I did enjoy my two nights stay in early June here for the basic fact I enjoy "vintage" hotels and have stayed in MANY. This one, however, though lacking an elevator, did have 21 steep steps in and out both entrances. Hm. The parking garage where we were asked to park is fine but a real schelp across the alley with luggage and up the 21 steep stairs. Hm. That aside? Rooms were lovely, vintage, bathroom very nicely kept with amenities and utilities. The BIGGEST issue was the Samsung television wherein the volume would go no higher than "30" and it was barely audible and I have perfect hearing! This was a real problem in wanting to relax or listen to the news for a bit. Other than these matters, it's old, quaint, in the HEART of the historic district and that counts for something.
