I made an appointment to visit the dogs. I was greeted with a warm welcome. After describing the personality I was looking for a member of the staff made a suggestion for a dog named Rosie. She is quite possibly the best dog in the world and I'm grateful to have her in my life. Thank you Yavapai Humane Society for what you do!

Very caring and tender hearted, When I took our family dog there. He had to be put down to en his suffering. Bubba was at least 15y\o and for a Labrador that's old. Anyways yeah the fee was only 50. And if you can't afford it they can still help you. I wouldn't go anywhere else they really care.

3 months ago we went to Humane Society to inquire via phone about a dog who was in the newspaper. We then scheduled an appointment and were greeted warmly and were given a tour. The grounds and all dogs were clean n well taken care of, the entire facility was clean and well up to date, painted. We ended adopting Panda whom we kept his name Thank you for a wonderful experience. God Bless everyone n all the animals you shelter. Tory n Caroline n Panda

Called in and spoke to Victor. Victor was great from the phone call to when I arrived. You could tell he really cared about the animals. He helped me get Spot who is perfect. There was also a girl in there taking pictures of a little dog called Sneezy. She was very nice and could tell she loved the animals. I had a great experience!

Took my elderly mother to go look at dogs she recently lost hers to cancer. Was informed we were not allowed to walked kennels and needed to be supervised. Was told we could make an appointment over a week out if we wanted. There was 4 employees up front sitting on theirs back sides just talking to each other and having a good time. Thanks we will just get a dog from a breeder. Continue being too busy to show us dogs as the gentleman told us he was.

If you have a dog at home and want to adopt another dog, they require a meet-and-greet with your dog, even if you just want a puppy. Puppy prices are reasonable but nonetheless high at $320, which is the case at most shelters. Closed to the public on Wednesdays.

The kennels were very clean and the dogs were taken care of. The worker named Bob was AWFUL! He was yelling at the dogs and was just awful. So disheartening to see that. So if you make an appointment I really don’t recommend going with Bob. He is extremely disrespectful if you are a young couple or a woman just expect to be treated awful by Bob.
