After two hours of desert driving with nothing but sand, rocks, and the occasional tumbleweed staring me down, this Chevron felt like pulling into a five-star resort. Gas pumps that actually worked without a fight, plenty of snacks and cold drinks inside, and a store that didn’t look like it had been raided by a pack of coyotes.
The staff were friendly and quick, which is exactly what you need when you’re sweaty, tired, and holding a random combo of jerky, an energy drink, and something sweet you didn’t plan on buying. The lot was wide open, easy to roll in, easy to roll out, no stress.
Was it fancy? No. Did it need to be? Also no. This stop gave me exactly what I needed: fuel, snacks, a stretch, and a reset before hitting the road again. For a pit stop in the middle of nowhere, this Chevron absolutely nailed it.

The manager at this location is rude. I pointed out that there was a sparrow stuck inside of the pillar by pump 10 and that there had been others that had died inside there due to an opening at the top and once the birds get inside they can not get back out. I mentioned that they should put a cover to block the birds from getting in and she said that it was not her problem and to leave it alone. The problem has still yet to be fixed 4 months later.
