There is always someone here manning the gate. Some attendants make you feel judged and if you come with a cooler they check the younger residents but not older residents. Everyone should be treated equal.

This pool has a good size and always seems to be clean. However, there is absolutely no staff monitoring to address either the parents or their children on their behavior. Sometimes, an entire family is yelling at each other the whole time they are in the pool. I understand this is an outdoor area where kids can go to be boisterous; however, when one child/family is constantly yelling and/or screaming at each other, that needs to be addressed by the staff. Other pool patrons should have a chance to enjoy their time at the pool too. The last time I went to this pool, one single child was responsible for over 90% of the volume. Finally, after almost two hours of hearing this child yell and scream non-stop, I asked the staff person if she could say something to the parents, who were off in a corner visiting and completely ignoring their kids. She very rudely told me “this is a family pool and if you don’t like it, go somewhere else.” My thoughts are that since I am part of a family and I pay the taxes and association fees for that pool, I should also be able to enjoy using it. I know there are many other adults who feel the same way I do, and many of them quit going to the pool because of what I have just described. That is just not right. There should be some kind of courtesy shown, taking into account that this is a public place where you need to consider how the people around you will be affected. Obviously, the public behavior in a pool has different expectations that other public places, such as a church or school. But no matter where you are, as a parent, your job is to teach your children to consider the feelings of others and if you won’t do it, then the staff should.

Hit or miss depending whose supervising the pool. Can be enjoyable can be avoidable. Some are too strict, some are too lenient, some are awesome

It’s unfortunate that there are no rules to keep children under 12 out of the hot spa. Older residents would also like to enjoy the amenities of Johnson Ranch. Parents allow small children to jump and splash on a hot tub of a 104 degrees. There is a huge pool with steps children can on.
