Overall, the food was very good. We started with Panifico with Nduja Caldo. The focaccia was tasty but on the dense side. The Octopus was really really good. Simple arugula salad was on point. As main courses, we had the pasta with vodka sauce and the Gambero which is jumbo prawn stuffed charred spaghetti. The latter had a great presentation. In general both dishes tasted fine. We visited on a Saturday evening. There were some empty tables when we arrived and the initial service was good. However, all the tables filled up later on and the service became worse. We had to grab other servers at times and had to pour our own wine (which would have been fine, but we started with our server pouring it). The space is pretty cosy and with an open kitchen. So it got pretty smoky towards the end of our dinner and we had to air out all our clothes when we got home. So not recommended if you have another stop to make after dinner. We wanted to try Piccolo Virtu since it is relatively new and we had had great experience at Virtu Honest Craft before, however given the wealth of dining options in Phoenix/Scottsdale, we may not go back for some time.

This is the best restaurant you probably aren't going to - yet. Stop right now, make a reservation! The food is sophisticated and approachable all at the same time, a hard balance to achieve, with an interesting wine list (we had a great Amarone). Standouts were the charred wheat pasta with prawns, and perhaps the best halibut dish I've ever had, the fennel was a perfect counterpart to the fish, and the fish was cooked to perfection. Perfect was a word that came up over and over during our meal, and I'm a pretty critical diner. That perfection includes the service, thank you Garrett! Yes, it's on the expensive side, but the food much more than justifies the cost. My one worry is it's in the wrong part of old town. The demographics of the restaurant and the tourist zone don't match - drop ins are exceedingly unlikely, so I hope food lovers will seek out this gem. They will be missing out on one of the very best food destinations in town if they don't.

What can I say, this place never disappoints! Too many great options to choose from, makes this a place that you have to visit again .... And again! Loved sitting by the kitchen! Mezcal cocktail was smooth, outstanding!

I love finding unique restaurants in cities I'm visiting, and Piccolo Virtu was fabulous. My salad was excellent, but the real star was charred wheat pasta with jumbo prawns. It was simply incredible. My friend, who is a meat snob, said he couldn't believe how good his steak was.

We had an ok experience, The service was odd and impatient (especially considering the restaurant only had 2 tables.) The food was good, althuogh a bit expensive for what you got. We were surprised that he food was served on cold plates. They should know better than that. Its a sure fire way to cool down a hot pasta dish. Speaking of cold---both the french doors were open and the tables are right in front of the doors. It's late Nov and the temps are in the 50's - time to shut the doors! -we were freezing. May be a better place in nice weather when you can sit outside. We probably wont go again, but we do love Virtu Honest Craft.

Celebrated my husband's birthday. Wait staff explained the menu ( restaurant is in the process of changing menu) well. Food was presented in a timely manner and was absolutely delicious! Wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We will return to this place when in area. All staff acknowledged my husband's birthday!!

The service and kitchen were both very slow despite having more employees than customers. One of our party wanted to leave. The bartender came over once because they noticed that our server was nonexistent. The food was fine when it arrived but way overpriced for what we got. Will not be back.

Four different times during our dinner we were notified that food or wines we ordered were sold out. One of the entrees was already a replacement entree, and then they ran out of the replacement item. Appetizers and crudo were tasty, but all entrees (3 total) were lukewarm at best. The staff was apologetic, which was kind of them, but it was definitely not worth the $400 we spent.

Requested salt-free pasta options, but told that all pastas boiled in salted water (yet on previous visit, it was boiled separately). Requested side-by-side seating was not available and was seated between kitchen and noisy scullery. If we go back, we will call ahead to confirm that these requests can be honored before arriving.

First time to the restaurant. Food was good. Service was extremely slow. Must've only had one server. Sad us right next to the bathroom and the kitchen. Not the ideal spot. Food was not worth the amount of money that we paid for. Will not return.

This is a hidden gem in Scottsdale. The attention to detail in the menu, the service and the beverages was top notch. We shared 7 items from the menu with our table of four and at least 3/4 of our diners loved each of the selections. My father and mother, who love good food but are less adventurous, we're excited by the unique options and loved the food. The food was creative, beautifully plated and delicious. The drinks were balanced and tasty and the service was absolutely perfect. This should be a premier restaurant in Scottsdale. Thanks you to the chef and staff for a phenomenal experience!

What an amazing restaurant, the service was tremendous! The food tasted absolutely amazing, I ordered the “vodka” pasta, which was delicious. The ambience/environment is very Italian, and quite intimate, it is the perfect spot for any date night!

Wow!! Expectations were high after dining at original Virtu Honest Craft and Pizzeria Virtu and they hit it out of the park. Food, Drinks, and service were amazing. We look forward to sharing with our friends in the coming months.

Everything tasted amazing. Service was attentive. It was not busy, so I'm not sure how loud it would get when it's packed, which I'm sure it gets. But Friday night at 6:40 pm was just starting. I'd go there again in a heartbeat. My boyfriend, who is fairly impartial to where we eat said it was good enough that he'll write a google review for them too.
