I'd give this AAMCO location less than one star if I could. They overcharged me for transmission Diagnostic - and one of their mechanics was actually rude to me! DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!

Had my transmission fixed here after another shop broke it and sent me away. Hector was amazing and very patient walking me through the whole repair process.

Would highly recommend to not come here or to get a 2nd opinion before making a decision. Brought my jeep in for transmission service because they are about $100 cheaper than Jeep dealers. Before even taking my keys they were trying to tell me I would most likely need a new transmission. Next day they call me and want me to pay $5500 for a refurbished transmission installed. Took my Jeep to the Jeep dealer. They did a full service, fully inspected my transmission and said it was perfectly fine just needed new fluid and filters. Seemed like the guy up front was more of a salesman than a transmission repair specialist…do what you will with this info.

We had our vehicle towed to the Butherus location in Scottsdale due to issues with the gear shift. The repairs were done in the same day as the towing! Thank you Hector for restoring us with our work truck!

Hector's shop is the only Aamco location I know I can go to and get my issues successfully diagnosed and repaired with confidence
Having a lifetime warranty can make me feel like a red-headed step child sometimes and I have been told many times that the problem is anything but my transmission
Hector had always gone the extra mile to honestly try to find issues and has always demonstrated a high level of ethics
My choice is to always drive the extra difference in mileage to get to Hector's shop; he does Aamco proud

These guys were amazing, they picked up my truck when my transmission went out. Was able to find the problem, explain and show us exactly what was happening and how to fix it. Hector was an amazing help!

***BUYER BEWARE***. I've debated on posting anything about this company for over a year but, due to a recent event with the same vehicle, I feel obligated to let any future consumer know about the business practices at this AAMCO. Long story short, I took my 2011 Genesis in before we went to Mexico in March of 2022 and told them the alignment was off, a/c blower motor was making noise and the rear passenger side mirror needed to be replaced but, since we were heading to Mexico could they also just give it a look it over. They came back with a long laundry list saying my rack and pinion needed to be replaced along with my lower control arms, brakes replaced, a/c blower motor and harness, alignment and a full tune up to include fluids and spark plugs. I wasn't thrilled but, we we're leaving the next week and I didn't want to be in a position where I had issues in Mexico. After picking it up the night before we left, I called them on the way home because it was still pulling to the right. Since we were leaving in the morning to RP Hector said I would be fine and just bring it in when I got back and they would look at it. He said I shouldn't have any issues and the tires would be fine. I wasn't happy already because they didn't replace the mirror and I had dropped over $5k into it at this point. When I brought it back in, I expressed to them it was still pulling to the right and the brakes were squeaky. I brought it in at 8am and I had to call them the next day at 4pm because I had heard nothing. After having my vehicle for well over a week the first time I was quite frustrated. Hector asked me to come in the next morning because they had found that the upper control arms needed to also be replaced. The bushings were cracked. They now wanted another $2,100 which he knocked down to $1,800. Not being a car guy but, standing under my vehicle looking at all the new parts, I asked them the obvious question of how could they not see this when they were replacing all of the parts around it, to which they had no response. I told them to take my car off the rack and I was leaving. To top it off my A/C was making a funny noise, my mirror they replace was scratched and buzzes when I unlock the car, the brakes squeaked and the car still pulled to the right. I did take the vehicle into Breaks Plus on Tatum & Bell for the repairs and they fixed most all of the issues for 2/3rds of the the price. Unfortunately, my alternator recently went out on that same vehicle and after having it replaced they found that AAMCO had installed the wrong spark plugs which I am sure contributed to the car misfiring and possibly blowing up the alternator. If you can avoid it, do not do business with these guys unless you are willing to be taken advantage of...

Hector and the team took care of my vehicle that had all sorts of problems. I went in for a wheel hub replacement, only to find two additional neighboring parts were shot. With so much additional work and parts needed, Hector and the other mechanics didn't hesitate to push through (right before labor day weekend even!). They got my vehicle up and running and in the best condition I have ever had it! I look forward to driving now just to feel how smooth of a drive it is!! Thanks Hector and the crew for the stellar work!

For a little over 2 years I have been dealing with transmission problems thanks to this establishment. After the first time they rebuilt it, They had to do it all over again. Then I was not able to drive my truck after I got it back because it kept still popping transmission codes. After we figured out what it was we realized they had done some damage to the plug. So I drove it approximately 30 miles today and the reverse band apparently went out and the transmission is sluggish. This place is a joke. And after Hector me to have a towed in and they would figure out what it was and what it would cost. They're not even going to warranty it. Even? Though I have only driven the truck 2000 miles? I guess now it's time to hire an attorney. If I could have given them negative stars I would have. Stay away from this place. They are all con artists

Hector is another greasy predator mechanic. I spent 3k for them to change an ECU and when I drove it out of the parking lot and drove worse than when I brought it in! He kept telling me he would have his mom drive this car? I asked them to drive in the car with me and they refused. They just needed more money for diagnostics, what a joke. I have an older vehicle and sometimes things break. So, during a Phoenix summer, the air conditioner stopped blowing cool air and I noticed a grinding noise. I took my car to Hector and his team and their service was amazing. They fixed the source of the noise and gave me back a much-needed air conditioner. And they did it all within a few hours.
