I was heading overseas. My last minute idea was to bring Cactus Candy AJs as AZ souvenirs to my destination. I called AJs on Lone Mountain. I talked to Sean on phone. He was very helpful...so customer-oriented. Appreciated his help. AJ's had everything I was looking for! When I got to AJs, everyone was helpful. Great associates! Great store! Thank you all!

It was really nice and lately who was bagging our groceries at the end commented on my engagement ring and she said when is the wedding and we responded back to her that it was February 14 but honestly I think I’m a hopeless romantic because I don’t think I’m going to be ever getting married to anyone becauselove is so ever-changing and intense and confusing. I should just stick to getting my bachelors and get a job that I like and stay occupied that way.

I swear I feel like a Michelin reviewed chef just by walking in the door of any AJ’s. My culinary prowess increases exponentially at the expense of my neg balanced wallet. When I visit PHX, I go to AJ’s for a yummy experience. So after perusing the aisles, learning about all kinds of yummy new to me treats, condiments, oils, etc. I went to the dessert case & decided to try the pistachio cheesecake. I would say that this is my new favorite of AJ’s desert case but that would not be consistent with all my other trips to AJ’s. Every time I visit something new tempts me, I swear that item is my new favorite and so it goes. Think to yourself, when was the last time your neighborhood store ever tempts you with something new?? Nope, same ol’ stuff, higher price every week. So AJ’s is a treat for myself that I like to repeat. Then remembered that I originally came in for a gift card for my hosts. AJ’s is also good for a “host thank you” so you are invited back to their home and can go back to AJ’s!

Caroline was extremely nice and polite while ringing me up, it was an absolutely pleasure talking with her. I asked for some syrup, she went and looked through the whole kitchen for me, but sadly, they did not have any syrup for me. I was just about to leave, then Hayden came up to me and said, were you looking for syrup? I said yes but unfortunately they don't have any... He said let's get you taken care of then he came out and actually grabbed syrup off of the shelf so I could have some! Not only was this going far above and beyond, but it made me stay, sit down, and eat my food, and then I went back into the store two or three more times for additional purchases... customer service like this is darn near impossible to find now days... These two really stood out.. how rare and special and wonderful it is to experience old-school customer service... Thank you Hayden, Caroline, and AJs

This is one of the most well run grocery stores I've ever been in. They are well organized and tailor their business model after service and fair prices. They also do catering.

The experience is always the same...staff is arrogant, they wait on friends and regulars before anyone else, regardless of how long you've been at the counter waiting. When brought to their attention, they don't care. The selection is always limited and the prices are RIDICULOUS!!!

This is a must-visit for out of town travelers. We found so many great staples for our room and the best gluten-free cookies!

Wonderful bakery just can’t understand why you won’t offer a small selection of fresh donuts like the other AJ’s do!

They should probably train their deli department a little better. Run out of avocado on a Friday at 1pm (is this not a grocery store?). Let's not talk about the way the lady cut an avocado like she was cutting the peel off an apple? The attitude was worse. Hire some people with more motivation and respect for folks they're making food for. Something is wrong with this entire area. I watched them treat people with different skin tones differently and how about you don't hire entitled lazy people that don't care about the people they're serving. Get it together AJ's. Fine foods should translate into fine service as well.

I've been going to this AJ's for 15 years. I go every morning for a tea. I have purchased several of their $30/40 refill cups in the past. Unfortunately the refill cup does not fit in my car cup holder. So I bring my refill cup in and they would normally give me one of their cups for a refill price. So this morning Lori instead of informing me that they would not do this for me anymore, rings me up and then proceeded to treat me horribly. She gave me attitude like I was stealing from them, so I paid for the cup and then asked for ice because there wAs none in my drink and she charged me 50 cents for ice. And then continually talked back to me. I then tried to talk to the manager and just got a blank stare!!! Here's the thing...I have no problem paying the $1.79 for the tea. But I do expect ice in my tea and if it's melted when you hand it to me then give me a small cup of ice for free. This AJ's has 2 very bad attitude women there. One rings every one up and refuses to get your drinks and Lori. I will continue to go here but I will not put up with this kind of service. Close your mouth and stop treating me like I'm trying to rip you off. It's obviously other other way around. I'm the one who purchased the $40 refill cup.

Boo! What has happened to AJ's? On a Monday morning stopped to get a fresh salad ...only to find old wilted, rust-bitten lettuce and other leftover recycled veggies. So disappointed! Picked through to get what I could ...at the register I was shocked to see the price had increased substantially. Too too too bad -- use to be such a high quality place; now it's a place I'll avoid.
