What a lovely facility. The owner is so welcoming, their events and formats are top quality. They have an inviting lounge space and kitchen to relax before and after classes. I feel like I'm home every time i come to visit.

I'm shamelessly copying and pasting my google review: Buti is the a** kicking that I needed after a year of very little movement-- physically it challenges me on every level, from larger primal movements that feel communal during a class, to the micro focus of the rotation of the body (their signature spiral technique) and muscles that I have never given much thought to, but am keenly aware of later with those feel good muscle aches the next day. I have physical goals, weight loss, strength building, etc. all of which I have no doubt I will continue to hit, but those are things I could get almost anywhere. The reason that BMVMT is a place that I value is for the energy of the space-- it's welcoming, it's focusing, it's creative, it is as their mantra goes, intentional. It demands the awareness of self and body that I have only ever received in dance and theatre classes where accountability to the art requires a looking at the self, wherever that is, and whatever that happens to look like. It isn't perfection, it's honesty and awareness. I leave class dripping in sweat but also feeling a cathartic release of s*** I needed to shake off. I imagine it's what some people get when they go to church, but with the bonus of a workout that doesn't feel like one.

I signed up for a class on ClassPass and showed up 5 min before. No one was at the studio, the door was locked and no one answered the phone. The website and classpass schedule showed a class for 9 am and no one was there at 9 am. Very disappointed because I woke up early on a Saturday morning and drove 20 min to find no one at the studio.
