Goodbye, and Good Riddance, CVS Pharmacy!! To say I have hated this CVS Pharmacy on Pima and Pinnacle Peak Rd is an understatement. From a lot of the women's attitudes (pharmacist working closing shift 11/5/23 included), to them CONSISTENTLY closing BEFORE the closing time, to where SEVERAL times, I have driven up to the window 5-10 min before closing and the window was already closed. One time, I went inside and a clerk told me they are still back there (behind the metal security screen they had put up to close early). I spoke through the metal screen to tell them it was before closing time and, as always, there were excuses, and they never opened.I have said to myself for so long, how much I can't stand CVS and I need to leave, and I can't tell you the freedom I feel from finally doing it. Tonight's encounter was the last straw.I am taking all my money and all my business from you, CVS, FINALLY, after suffering with your HORRIBLE Pharmacy for so many years and saying SO many times how I need to take all my, and my family's prescriptions, and move to another Pharmacy.I feel freedom. You do not deserve another penny of my money. The amount of money I've spent at CVS, they did not/do not deserve.Never again.Get rid of the attitudes, stay open until 6pm, if you are open until 6pm.‼️Also, get some sensitivity training to the young, millennial looking girl, with the blue streaks in her hair(or whatever color she has in her hair at the time). When I came by the pharmacy drive-thru a few months ago, something was mentioned about my dog's prescription and I told her it wasn't needed anymore, because he had just passed away. I started to get choked up.I told her that he was about to turn 18. He suffered with diabetes the last 2 years. I guess I wouldn't be needing to get his prescriptions for his Libre diabetes monitor, Flo-Vent or eyedrops anymore. She didn't say one word except, "Do you want me to just delete his whole profile then?".I couldn't believe it. Not one shred of compassion or anything..This was my little dog who was always in the car with me when I went through the drive-thru pharmacy, so they had all seen him many times. And, no, she was not busy, lest anyone use that as an excuse for her not showing one iota of empathy. That was very cold and when I told a friend that, he said he would have asked to speak to a manager right then and there, and he would have stopped going to CVS. I know... I should have taken my thousands of dollars of my/my family's prescriptions from CVS a long time ago.Well, I have now.As I said, Goodbye and good riddance, CVS! A weight has been lifted! I no longer have to deal with your horrible Pharmacy anymore!

Manager and staff are extremely disrespectful and rude. Never going to this location again. Walgreens is so much better in comparison!!!

The manager and staff are extremely rude. They fired the only employee that was genuinely nice to customers. I fell bad for anyone who has to deal with any issue when it comes to their management team. I spoke to the manager in charge named Alyssa and she was extremely rude to me and my family. Then I came in the next day to speak to the store manager and he said there was nothing he could do for me. I recommend just going right across the street to the Walgreens for literally anything. I transferred my prescriptions and buy my over the counter products. Also the staff there is very nice.

Spent 2 hours of my day coming here and waiting for an RX called in - they said they had it in stock. It was not ready when I arrived and they said to wait 15 minutes. I sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes and when returned they told me their stock was expired and no other CVS has the RX. No courtesy call when they knew I had driven so far and that I was there in the parking lot and no solution for the RX needed. Waste of time and energy for the provider and myself.

Had the distinct pleasure of working with Eric, the lead technician. Very helpful and personable. Happy to be with this CVS. Thank you Eric!!!!

Wish I'd read the reviews. The pharmacy is beyond horrible. Picked up two new meds I've never taken, and I told them that, and all they had to say was "do you have any questions?". I mean, WTF? How can you have questions if you don't know anything about it. I looked at the prescription package and it said "CONSULT - new medicine'. Asked you speak to a pharmacist for a "consult", and the young guy with all the stupid ear rings said "do you have any questions?". I'm looking at him like . I thought Walgreens was bad but this place is simply criminally negligent.

The location is great for where we live. However, it stops there. We had to purchase 2 needed medications during the generic shortages and had to pay brand name prices. The pharmacy tech said that they could override the brand prices since there was a shortage. The pharmacist (blonde), named Mally, told my wife that she would be fired by CVS due to “massive profit loss” if gave the meds for patients at generic costs due to the shortages. 1. For medication 1, and as the “DOCTOR of pharmacy,” she didn’t know that she could override even when her TECH said it could be done. So I paid a higher price and she would not help me get the insurance subsidized rate when I could. 2. For both script 1&2, she did not bother to call the physician to get a pre-auth and just processed the prescription, making me pay the high cost vs the discounted cost. Then she said it was up to the customer and physician to know that it should’ve been a pre-auth process. After the prescription was processed, she said it was too late to re-do the prescription and I had to pay the high cost. She said she’d be fired if she gave me the discounted rate. 3. Even before she filled script #2, I discussed the shortage and the cost because of the experience with the first medication. She said she would look into it and call me. This was on a Monday. On Wednesday, I did not hear from her and went in to talk to her and she said I should’ve told my physician to pre-auth it otherwise I pay the high price. I said you were supposed to take care of it and call me back. She said, “oh, my bad that I didn’t do that”. Her answer was “my bad” for everything I asked her. She did not take responsibility to call the physician or insurance for pre-auth causing me to pay a higher fee when I should’ve gotten the discounted fee. And on top of that, my medication #2 was not filled and she told me to come back later. This pharmacist dropped the ball on so many counts. Her tech is even smarter than her. In healthcare, a patient’s care and cost come first. Obviously, this pharmacist is either too stupid or has a lack of empathy or both. Mally truly lives up to her hair color.

Had a friend in from out of town and she forgot her heart medication. Pharmacy filled script but when she arrived it was just before closing and they shut down in her face. They had shut down the registers before 5 and told her it was too late. Woman just walked away rudely.

I have had root canals that are quicker than the service here. Good luck getting a hold of someone over the phone and waiting in the line at this location is awfully long. Bring a book or pay all your bills while you wait. GO elsewhere!!

I had a difficult time getting my Dr. to submit a prescription correctly. Mally assisted and was AMAZING!! This is a VERY busy location and I greatly appreciate Mally going the extra mile with such kindness! Thank you!Update...I just picked up my meds through the drive through and Alicia was able to help find an additional discount for me! These ladies are rocking it today!

Go to the Walgreens across the street. This CVS closes for lunch and doesn’t care if you have been waiting in line or need to pick up a RX from a surgery. Then when I returned 9 hours later the RX was still not filled! Staff could care less. Horrible experience

Descriptions of employees in the review that follows includes a description of the individual for identification purposes only. I am in no way prejudice against any individual based on race, religion, etc. This review is regarding the actual pharmacy within CVS. The actual store is fine. I have been coming here for years as I have lived a mile away for over a decade. Taylor is wonderful, and this review is in no way a reflection of her or other customer service reps working within the retail portion of the store. I have been on an expensive medication since 2013 (with the exception of the period I was pregnant with my second child). It costs between $140 & $200 as it is not covered by my insurance. 1) Super irritating that every single month for YEARS, the pharmacy staff asks me whether I am aware of the extreme cost of this drug, am I sure I still want it at that price, and other judge mental and irritating comments. CAN'T you just put a note in the system or something??? YES - IT IS EXPENSIVE. I KNOW. I STILL NEED IT. I ALWAYS PAY IT. STOP ASKING every single bloody month. PLEASE. 2) The Asian female with long dark hair (wearing a pastel multicolored long sweater this afternoon) on duty today has no business being in a public contact position. She is uncaring, unkind, and unhelpful. She made it clear she had no interest in helping me. I ordered my medicine via the automated system 11/06/2022. An attempt to pick it up was made on 11/10/2022. At that time, I was told that this medication was not in stock, and that the CVS would need to order it. FiNe. Today, a week later, I stopped in to follow up on this order thinking surely it would be in by now. After waiting about 15-20 minutes whilst the staff researched this, I was told it was not in yet. "Can you confirm it was ordered?" I asked. "How long does it normally take for an order to come in? It wouldn't typically take more than a week, right? Said Asian gal replied telling me she was not sure how long it would take to come in as it depends on the provider. It was clear she was not willing to check on it, follow up with whoever she ordered it from. I needed to get on to an appointment with me endocrinologist. I asked if someone would please call me when it comes in? Her response: "No. the system texts you." I told her I had never ever received a text from CVS before in my life, and I have been getting THIS MEDICATION at THIS PHARMACY for the last 9 and 1/2 years. So I questioned this further not believing I would receive the text she kept assuring me I would. Luckily, a kind African American man overheard her "customer NO SERVICE," and interrupted her. He checked the system, and sure enough, I was no signed up to receive any texts. THIS LADY DID NOT SMILE THE ENTIRE TIME (neither did the male employee, but at least he seemed to care - somewhat - that I received the customer care I needed). I came into the store with a positive demeanor. There was no reason to treat me like crap. This Asian lady is truly an uncaring, unfriendly, despicable human being, and I hope she is let go by CVS so that she is able to implement a proper career change. Perhaps she may fit better and find it more fulfilling if she were to take on a role in an alternate position and/or profession not requiring any direct public contact. 3) I would be remiss if I did not also mention that I have never in 9 and 1/2 years had any issue with this particular medication not being in stock/never have needed to order it. This is extraordinarily dangerous for me as there are significant side effects such as seizures, heart complications, etc. if this medication is dropped "cold turkey"/ when one does not easily wean oneself off the drug gradually. This ridiculously lengthy wait caused by CVS could present serious health complications/consequences for me. The pharmacy employees frankly do not seem to care. It doesn't matter who I deal with there. They are all equally indifferent to my plight.

My experiences at CVS have been challenging but having employees like Maisha the other day made me feel like CVS is improving. She offered to helps and went way beyond the usual, assisting me with the Extra Bucks system. She's a gamechanger!

I have been coming here for 18 years but the last 2 years they have become awful. They wint answer the phone, the medications are never ready on time and they all seem to have a bad attitude as well.
