The staff member (they probably call themselves Pack Members) Nicholas, from Hawaii, sold me and my boys on the whole G.W.L. experience. We dropped into the first activity Arts and Crafts right after check in. He made my boys feel so welcome, and even checked in with me on what I wanted from the stay. He provided tips on how to enjoy the quests to learn the layout of the hotel all while managing a room full of kids and parents coloring and decorating their crafts.Nicholas then caught up with us in his way to clock out that evening. Spoke to the kids about their day, and had even more tips about how to enjoy their evening with reassuring us that he would be back tomorrow to “see how we were doing.”The 2nd day we caught up with Nicholas after enjoying the waterpark, he asked again how we were doing, and had compliments on the boys new Wolf attire, and tips on how to wear a wizard’s cloak properly. He also made sure that we met Wiley the Wolf who was around the woods earlier. ??I hope others enjoy their stay as much as we have, and that Nicholas’ service is something the G.W.L. leaders encourage across all their Wolf Pack Team Members! And, that he gets recognition for the hospitality he showed me and the boys this week! We’ll be back ?☀️?Nearby activities: We never left the campus of the hotel as the onsite activities kept the boys’ attention the whole stay, but Scottsdale has a lot to offer, and would be worth coming back to for a weekend getaway.Safety: The kids were able to wonder the lobby with some supervision to complete their “quest” it was a good environment for the, to explore.

Trip was fantastic and was a heavily immersive experience for my child. The staff were some of the greatest highlights for the trip and would like to name a few.I had several times throughout my trip where my family was helped out by a staff member, Nathan W, who was incredibly attentive, and continuously went beyond the call of duty to ensure that his job was done accurately down to the "T". During our stay he had to have gone from every activity stand from the MagiQuest to the rock climbing and approached each job with the utmost amount of effort, even ping-ponging in between each stand to help out as much as possible. This employee HUSTLES and you could tell from one day into the next.Another staff member who had infectious enthusiasm was Brandon C. who was currently working at the Ben & Jerry's stand within the hotel. He carried so much energy while doing his job that you would almost be convinced that he had a real passion for serving folks ice cream. Not only that but he showed some real legitimate brand representation with some good wolf howling which my family loved. To go even further after wanting to leave some positive feedback to this hotel's management team Kevin M. was very receptive to what I had to say and led me to understand just how grateful he was for my comments. My wife and I discussed just how dismissive a managerial team can be when it comes to leaving feedback positive-or-negative, and thankfully Kevin was very gracious towards our comments.Overall when considering whether or not we will come back to this hotel, the staff I've mentioned above are the first and foremost considerations in our mind, and I hope to see them next time.

My kids love coming here! The bill feels like they nickel and dime you to death on every single thing. But the rooms are clean and comfortable, no long lines at the water park, many restaurants inside, and so many "extras" to do inside the resort (rock climbing, Magi Quest, etc). Aside from the crazy food prices, no more free cups with breakfast package, and now parking fees at a resort I'm already paying to stay at... Overall, we had a great time as a family.

Great Wolf Lodge is GREAT!!We planned this trip for our kids' spring break. We were signed up for emails and got a 50% off email special! We arrived on a Wednesday and checked out Friday and we were able enjoy almost 3 full days of fun! It's great that if you arrive early on your check in day you can start to enjoy some of the amenities/swimming. Also, the day you check out, you can stay after check out and keep swimming, etc.Our kids enjoyed all of the activities, especially the MagiQuest! They loved following the clues and completing the tasks. Two of my kiddos now claim to have gotten over their fear of heights after working through the ropes course. They had so much fun! We did get the passes for our kids that included all of the activities and it was a great addition to our stay. The staff was awesome with helping at the different activities!I'd love to call out a few... thanks for making our trip even better!Austin -miningBryan -arcadeBrayden- ropes courseRhamir-rock wallNathan-mini golfThe swimming options are endless with different pools, different slides, wave pool, lazy river, obstacle course and outdoor pools. Our room was great and had sleeping accommodations for all 6 of us.Overall, with the indoor activities and swimming options, we felt our family was safe and well taken care of! This was a great family friendly vacation!

Awesome experience for the whole family. So expensive but so worth it. It was like a cruise. There was so much for the kids to do and we were confident they were safe playing Magiquest while we grabbed some beverages. Convenience of charging to the room at every store and restaurant in the building. There are a lot of free scheduled activities that the kids enjoyed like bingo and dance parties. The Wolf Pass seemed expensive but I was like it's gonna take us till summer break to pay off this spring break stay, why not? There is so much included in the Wolf Pass that we almost didn't finish everything in 3 days. My 8 and 13 year old both had fun and that almost never happens at the same place. We lost hot water early on the 2nd day which made for an itchy, sleepless night after the water park. It affected our third day but the front desk did their best to make it right. This was a nice alternative to a road trip to vacation. We'd do it again.

We stayed here for two nights so our youngest child could have some fun during baseball spring training. The room was a great size, bunk beds for older kids, queen bed, and pull out sofa, great size for family of 5. The location of the hotel was great you have Salt River Baseball fields next door and it is close to so many restaurants. one problem with the room was that the sink in the room was not working it was clogged up. I let someone from hotel know and they said they would look at it. It was never fixed. The remote to the tv did not work. Their was no microwave in the room. They told us that they would do a $100 per night deposit (which was fine). I checked out on my phone because they give that option and it is fast and easy, they said I would get an email with my receipt but I did not get one. I checked my credit card statement and they still have not given me the deposit back. I did not destroy the room or anything. We left it clean. I messaged them and they said they would get me a receipt but they still have not and I called but I have to wait 72 hours to get a receipt from the time I sent the message. I do not understand why it is so hard to get me a receipts and for someone to help with the charges that are one my card. Overall it's a good place to take younger kids the pools aren't that big so older kids really only enjoy the slides and the wave pool. Kid ages 7,13,15Nearby activities: They had a arcade/bowling ally nearbyFood & drinks: They have adult drinks you can buy inside the the water park area.

My daughter and I had an awesome time at the water park. We ended up staying there for 6 hours. She has a blast on the rides over and over.As far the good. We got the carne asada fries which were a really nice size and good. The bar has a good selection of on tap beers and liquor. Overall value i couldn't complain. I will definitely be back again.

My friends and I recently stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge from March 24th to March 25th to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, our overall experience fell short of expectations, warranting only two stars out of five.To begin with, the resort seems determined to nickel and dime guests at every turn. We were shocked to discover exorbitant charges for seemingly basic amenities. For instance, they attempted to charge us a whopping $80 for an interactive wand with games for just two people. Additionally, the food at the on-site restaurants was mediocre at best, prompting us to opt for food delivery to our room, which not only offered better quality but also came at a significantly lower cost.Furthermore, the room lacked essential conveniences like a microwave and iron, and we encountered issues with the coffee maker, which required a call to guest services for a replacement. The provided soap and shampoo were of subpar quality, leaving a greasy residue on both our bodies and hair, which was disappointing.Adding to our frustrations, the dining credit we had pre-purchased ahead of our stay was not accepted at certain establishments. Moreover, while we enjoyed the water park, the exorbitant prices for food and drinks felt unjustifiable, akin to stadium prices.Communication from the staff was another letdown. They failed to provide clear instructions on accessing our room with the wristbands provided, leading to confusion and delays upon our arrival. Additionally, we were unaware that we would receive a text message from guest services when our room was ready, resulting in a lengthy wait.Furthermore, the mandatory wristbands were uncomfortable and impractical, making us wish for a more streamlined system like a barcode on our cell phones. In summary, our stay at Great Wolf Lodge was marred by excessive charges, mediocre amenities, subpar dining options, and poor communication from the staff. We had hoped for a memorable celebration but left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return in the future.

Let’s start with the accommodations they don’t have: no gym, no business center, no laundry service, no childcare of any sort, no indoor or outdoor playground. This place is not appropriate for children under about 8. We stayed with our three small children, paid for the Adventure package, not knowing my kids couldn’t participate in most of the activities. And they charge for EVERYTHING! They charge $15/day to self park your car in their parking lot. They have stores for candy, icecream, build a bear, souvenirs, with prices all marked up. Then there’s our room… when we checked in, there were cookies, candy, hairpins and other trash bits on the floor. I asked housekeeping to come vacuum, they come to the door and said, “oh, you want me to vacuum the whole floor?” I was like just give me the vacuum and I did it myself. Then there’s the room key wristband issue.. our keys failed to work every single day, sometimes multiple times a day, of the 7 days we stayed and we had to keep going back to the front desk to have them fix it. Outside of our room there was a lovely button, that when pushed made an ear piercingly loud alarm sound in our room, and it was at a height small children could reach. We were woken up twice this way, and we opened the door to apologetic parents whose small kids thought pushing the button would be fun. Breakfast was $25/day and wasn’t even the quality of continental breakfasts at other hotels, it’s a long line , buffet style with loud howling every 30min that scared my baby. The reason they got any stars at all is because my kids had a blast at the water park, and because Roger, one of the supervisors was very patient with my frustration, he was kind and professional.Which reminds me they have those nice big hotel luggage carts, but won’t let you use them. They provide little baggage carts. I found this extremely frustrating because we had so much stuff being a family of 5, and I just wanted the larger cart- they would not budge. We will not be staying there again.

First, except for the front desk, the staff were generally helpful and friendly.Had to wait in the front desk line 3 times because they failed to correctly check me in apparently. Don't bother pre-registering and using the kiosk as you have to wait in front desk line anyway for park passes. It just slows you down more. You get to the front desk and they slow you and everyone down as they try to sell you more stuff. Tried to use the voucher pass I got from my package and the staff said I had to go back to the front desk because they did not fill it in properly, was not going to wait another 20 mins again, gave up.First registered for the room and a park package using a Spring sale. When I received my bill any discount was now missing, billed full price for room and package. Their billing system seems intentionally vague and convoluted as I could never see an itemized bill until final receipt.Paid for a birthday package, the mylar balloons and pictured wolf ears missing. You pick up the cake from one of the restaurants, but cant get any of the other stuff until you can get in your room. So the plates and cups are useless unless you plan on your party at night or on a second day of your stay.Paid for 2 reserved tables in the water park. They put our tables right in front of the exit door to the outdoor pool. Aside from a clear egress violation, we had people squeezing by our table to walk outside all day long. Luckily many people ignored the exit doors and just walked in and out the entrance doors. The sofa cushions at the tables were disgusting, covered with towels and tried to ignore it.Lost hot water on first day, had no water in room in morning of second day. Had planned to stay in the park that morning but after no shower, feeling dirty, and taken advantage of, just wanted to leave.

This place is fun. Don't get me wrong. The problem is how much they get wrong with technology. Our room key didn't work more than once for our whole stay, so every time we left the room, someone had to go wait in line for 15 or 20 minutes in the lobby to get the key reprogrammed. This would be much less frustrating if I hadn't paid so much for a room and brought three kids that either were in a hallway or line each time. This is just one example of things that just didn't work well. It would be worth it if not for all the minor inconveniences adding up.

This was the best staycation ever! The rides are incredibly fun, especially with the addition of a bar, making it an even more enjoyable experience with friends. It's a fantastic setup where parents can relax with a drink while their children engage in a variety of safe activities. However, it's common to experience cold or flu-like symptoms afterwards, similar to what you might encounter in any environment frequented by children, such as homes or cars. This is often due to germs typically associated with hotels and public places, brought in by families. It's important to note that these health issues are not exclusively linked to places like Great Wolf Lodge and occur naturally anywhere children are present. Criticizing family-oriented establishments for these reasons is unjust. Parents who disparage such businesses might not be fully engaged in raising their children or may be expressing envy due to their inability to afford such experiences, possibly due to their political or governmental preferences.Rooms: Nice but frequented by lots of families that breakdown furniture.Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants to Uber too. Large casino nearby for adults.Safety: We felt very safe here. It’s big. It’s full of families having fun. It’s a place created for families and being a safe environmentFood & drinks: Food is decent. Breakfast was good for price.Noteworthy details: It’s a feat stay vacation. We know we will have flu like symptoms afterwards but we are around children who need parenting. It is a fun time.
