I enjoyed my experience, but I feel like I was SCAMMED. I scheduled a couple's massage in-person, as a gift for my boyfriend's birthday, and was told it would be $139.95 total. When we were checking out after the massage, I was told that the grand total was $371.90 because each individual has to pay the price of the listed couples massage, which is extremely misleading since it as advertised for a COUPLE. Had I known we each had to pay the price of a couples massage, I would have scheduled two separate massages which would have been much MUCH cheaper. Not to mention that when I was setting up the appointment, I had to provide his phone number as part of their "registration process", and considering this was a gift for his birthday, I specifically asked to NOT send any appointment confirmations or reminders to him. I was told that he would NOT receive anything. Minutes later, he received a text message, completely spoiling the surprise. UGH! Overall, I enjoyed the massage experience, but I would've appreciated transparency. I would have taken the business elsewhere had I known a couple has to pay the price of two couples massages. Lesson learned. I'm extremely disappointed, and will not be coming back.

Donna was extremely rude and called me an idiot as I’ve been a member with Hand & Stone 8 years. if I didn’t have 12 credits built up I would cancel. never going to this location again which is a shame because Frida and Sharon are great. Donna ruined it for them. Poor management.

I've been going here for almost 4 years and have gone to them in other states. Love them and how kind and professional they are, I'm very much enjoying my membership!

I’ve only had good service at the Hand & Stone location. The massages and facials are relaxing and effective. My only issue are the employees that don’t stay in their lane when giving medical advice. They should not be prescribing medical devices and telling others that they can quantify tissue damage assessed by their hands. They should not be educating people with incorrect sun protection knowledge.

This for the Old Town Scottsdale locale. I have been a regular client for 2+ years at the Anthem, AZ H&S locale. Anthem is WONDERFUL. Old Scottsdale? Extremely DISAPPOINTED & RUDE Asst. Mgr. B/c of health issues (mastectomies, cancer, and chemo) I am unable to have massages and facials at this time. My credits had accrued to over 6+ these past months. Graciously Anthem, AZ allowed me to cancel and gave me until June 7th to utilize my 6-7 credits. H&S also said I may gift the current credits to my daughter ($10 transfer fee + tip) so my 6-7 ($500+) would not be wasted. JOANN the Asst Mgr was SO RUDE at the Old Scottsdale locale. This locale is right by my daughter's home, instead of an hour away in Anthem. She wouldn't listen, stated I was cancelled after looking in the computer (a simple phone call to Anthem would clarify this), and extremely rude. I explained that we could call Anthem and they would assist. She responded, that I should do it myself and she can't help-go back to Anthem. I was honestly appalled at her attitude. Moreso b/c I have NEVER ever experienced anything but wonderful out of Anthem Hand & Stone. She didn't offer to call Anthem or help in any way. My daughter called Anthem and has an appt for this week. No issues, no fuss but a 45-hour drive. What a difference the locale makes! Don't settle for rude and attitude. Life is too short! Bravo Anthem, Thumbs Down Old Scottsdale.

I am a current masaage therapy student. I had an interview with this spa for my externship and didn't accept their apprentice that they offer. The spa manager was nice understood at least what I thought. I did my first day on a sunday and eveyone LOVED ME and my healing hands, however, the owner Anita told my instructor that I wasn't welcomed there and I was all about stealing her clients! I'm here to make a difference not make $14.00 after my school for a woman who is all about MONEY for her franchise and not helping students. When my referrals called to schedule with me the staff told them I had quit . I am NOT A QUITER. I don't appreciate this owner at this spa slandering my character when I do anything for anyone!!!! The staff maybe awesome but the owner be aware

Customer service at the front was great. The massage itself was the worst massage I’ve ever had. It lasted 30 minutes total even though I purchased an hour massage plus two 15 minute add ons. I’m very annoyed that I spent a good amount of money and the quality was genuinely awful. I don’t know if it was just the therapist or if it’s the entire place in general but I would save your money.

Unmemorable. I had stiffness in my neck and upper left shoulder, as I had shared in writing and in words. I also told my therapist I had night cramps in my calves and feet. I laid on my face for the majority of the 45/50 minute session and it was uncomfortable on my neck, with little attention given to that area overall. I had a better massage at my pedicure a few days later on my achy feet and calves. Lastly, I missed having my hands and feet massaged. Thanks.

Completely unhappy with this location. Top 4 reasons why:1) The number of quality massage therapist at this location are LOW.2) Extremely high turnover of massage people, the moment you get one you like they are gone within a month.3) They’ll charge you for making the reservation and making a change or canceling within 24 hours but when they cancel (happens OFTEN) nothing on the other side. Completely unjust.4) The amount of forms you sign prior to your first massage has the same amount of pages as my work offer letter. Immediately making me feel like something bad could happen to me.

Karlee was who did my facial treatment. First time I’ve ever gotten one. She made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions + very professional. I can’t wait for my next treatment. Highly recommend Karlee for future facials!
