Hertz in North Scottsdale is just a breeze.From all Rental locations I've been in, it has a nice cool and welcoming environment.Will is so quick at his job you are in and out with the blink of an eye.John is always jolly and friendly.

after checking in early to “save time at pick up” i waited over an hour for my rental. the sales associate notified me that they had a car but it wasn’t cleaned. i took the car frustrated from waiting and was offered no discount. I left something in the rental and have tried to contact them several times and they do not answer their phone.

My experience at this Hertz location was utterly disappointing. Despite making a reservation, I endured a two-hour wait due to their claim of no available vehicles. Upon finally receiving a vehicle, it was nearly out of gas despite being there since my arrival. The employees were engaged in loud arguments while customers waited. This level of service, coupled with overcharging and a lack of professionalism, is utterly unacceptable. I strongly advise avoiding this location at all costs.

Hertz policy of prepaid voucher not explained or even mentioned on the reservation website.Watch out for bait and switch. Unethical. IThe staff at the pick up location was fine but grossly understaffed.

This review is for the Hertz location at Hayden road in North Scottsdale Arizona:I booked a car 2 days in advance and when I showed up the morning of, they told me there were no cars available. They said it so nonchalantly while smiling as if they hadn't ruined my plans for that week. They even volunteered that if I wanted to, I could not even get a car for the next few days due to a shortage as if they were proud they were so busy. I did not even get a courtesy call the day before or even the morning of, so I wouldn't have to pay for the Uber roundtrip to the rental car place.Reviews need to have a 0 star option because 1 star is too generous for this business!

I made my reservations online prior for a one way rental from Arizona to California.The day of my rental, arriving at the location, signing the agreement, given the keys.Upon receiving the rental vehicle, I noticed several chips in the windshield, I proceeded to take photos, document then I walked back inside in order for Hertz to also be made aware.Once inside the vehicle, the upholstery, front and back was stained/dirty. The carpet was obviously stained/dirty. You could smell a strong odor from within the vehicle as well.Back to the office and explained the condition of the inside only to be informed that it was the only vehicle that was available.I needed to leave that day, I was already checked out of my hotel, Uber to the rental location. I had no choice but to drive the vehicle.I have rented from Hertz previously. It is a hit or miss based on the management within the individual rental offices.

I had rented a SUV from another location in Scottsdale. Shortly after driving the car, I noticed the dashboard showed a warning light. I needed to switch it out because we were going on a 1000 mile road trip and didn't want to take a chance. The manager at this location told me they were out of SUVs and refused to help me find one. I started calling around to see if anyone had a SUV available that Friday, but everyone was out of SUVs.The manager at the North Hayden HLE location Justin was very helpful. He didn't have one, but asked me to come by around 5:00pm because there may be returns. Justin and Brad got the car cleaned and upgraded me to a better SUV. Excellent service by these guys! 5 starts in my book!

Long wait time when picking up vehicle. Only had one vehicle available. Drove a whole 56 miles (total) with the rental and they charge me for 6 gallons of fuel. That’s pretty poor gas mileage.

Extremely thankful to be able to pick up a vehicle other than Sky Harbor Airport. Made a reservation for my b day and picked up the next morning. It was my first time renting a Tesla so the Hertz associate Took his time and explained pretty much the most important features of the vehicle. Thank you for being professional and polite. Will definitely rent from this location again!I didn’t get the associates name but he did have a prince symbol tattooed on his arm. He had great customer service.

That isn't a coincidence that the guy named Chris was rude and very unacommidating to me today July 13th. I have had such good luck with this Hertz location and now I'm not so sure want to come back because of Chris . Read the bad reveiw on him also 1 month ago. They need to get rid of him he is rude to your customers. One is me.

A joke. Chris was willing to admit he screwed up by not checking reservations for the day and shrug his shoulders at our inconvenience. Definitely seems like standard operating procedure. I'm in the office now and have been waiting over an hour from the scheduled pick up time for them to get the car ready. Pick up was at Scottdale but i was told i had to come to the office instead. Pictures attached are what you'll expect from this office.... zero help. Better off using uber.Response to the owner: unfortunately it IS your management team that was the problem, Chris namely, so I wouldn't expect a whole lot from him when forwarding him my review

Reserved a midsize for the same afternoon pick up. Guy working the desk informed me that all he had was compact despite making a reservation for a midsize (though there were multiple cars in the lot). He refused to give me the size of a car i reserved, and wouldn’t refund the difference despite the downgrade let alone even apologize. He said I was lucky that he was even giving me a car this afternoon. On top of it was also a 20min wait for the car. As a President’s Circle member who’s rented with Hertz many many times, I’ve had nothing but good experiences until dealing with this location. Avoid at all costs.
