Living at MAA Camelback has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had with an apartment community, and most of it comes down to extremely poor management by Dawn and Natasha.
Not even halfway through my lease, my ceiling in the living room collapsed due to water damage. The “repair” they did the first time was done so poorly that it nearly fell through again a second time. Instead of taking accountability and ensuring my unit was safe, I had to escalate the issue to higher management just to get any action taken. Only then was I forced to move units in the middle of my lease — an unnecessary disruption that was entirely the result of their negligence.
To make matters worse, when I was simply trying to resign my lease, they refused to allow it because of the history of problems (that they themselves caused). On top of that, management inexplicably ran a hard credit inquiry on me mid-lease — which made absolutely no sense, especially given that all of these issues stemmed from their own failure to maintain the property properly.
For the amount of rent charged here, you should expect professional, competent, and responsive management. Instead, what you’ll find is a lack of accountability, dismissiveness, and decisions that negatively impact residents rather than support them.
If you’re considering living here, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. MAA Camelback under Dawn and Natasha’s management is poorly run, unprofessional, and will likely cost you time, stress, and even damage to your credit — all for problems that are entirely out of your control.

Jennifer Vasquez, is the absolute best. We signed on immediately after our wonderful tour with her and she has been such a great help throughout the entire move process. We are very happy to be apart of such a wonderful community at such a beautiful building with great amenities! If you’re thinking of touring make sure to ask for Jennifer as she will answer question you have with no BS!

Just resigned my lease and going into my third year here. The location is centralized to old town and downtown. The apartment and amenities are all great and very affordable for the area. Can’t say enough great things about the maintenance team! These guys are always on point and respond within the hour a majority of the time! Again, going on my third year here and have had no complaints from start to finish!

Akili has great customer service and work skills- give that man a raise! He is always friendly and approachable. He installed a nee washer and dryer with speed and efficiency, spoke about what he will do and did it. BUT the management in the office is terrible, the workers are rude and the billing is terrible, they dont take accountability.

This community and the employees are one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed at. The manager, Dawn has always been so helpful and seems to really enjoy her job. It’s nice to see a friendly face when I go into the office.

i’ve really enjoyed living here so far. the property is clean and feels super well taken care of. the staff is friendly and always quick to help with anything i need, which i really appreciate. the location is also super convenient — close to everything. overall, it’s been a great place to call home and i’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking.

Akili and the maintenance team have resolved all of our issues quickly and answered all of our questions and concerns over the almost 5 years we have lived here. They do a great job thank you so much! We absolutely enjoy living here. The location, and amenities are all very worth it!

Our maintenance guy Akili is amazing! He’s always there when needed and fixes everything very quickly, our A/C was broken after hours and he considered it a high priority issues, with having a toddler this was very much appreciated. MAA Camelback team 100% takes care of their tenants.
