Didn't find all the pens I wanted, but found some pretty nice ones. I love the option of being able to buy individual pens and you can choose style and color. As someone obsessed with pens ? this is great for me!!

It's interesting that the 1-star ratings seem mostly centered around lousy customer service. That is exactly why I'm writing in. I purchased a pack of cardstock paper with 2 other items. When I was checking out, it dawned on me that I thought I had seen that the paper was on sale (buy 1, get 1 50% off). I asked the girl running the register if the paper was on sale, and she said, "No." I took her at her word and let her ring me up, and I used a $5 reward for the purchase. As I was about to walk out of the store, I decided to go back and look again, and there it was--a sign saying that the paper I purchased was on sale (buy 1, get 1 50% off). I took another pack with my original purchase to the register and told the girl that she was wrong and the paper was on sale. She started blaming me for asking the question when I did (which was BEFORE the transaction was completed). I then asked for the manager. She called Ruby up to the register. Ruby started making excuses for the other girl lying, instead of simply admitting that she didn't know and saying that the paper wasn't on sale. She also reiterated what the other girl said, which was that I couldn't use my $5 rewards on the new transaction and instead had to wait 3 days for it to be returned to my account. I knew Ruby had some authority to make some kind of concession, but she flat out refused and said that "we" (meaning Michaels) don't do that. Don't do what? Take care of your customers? Don't apologize for inconveniences and incorrect information? Well, I can't argue that. They definitely DON'T do that. I told Ruby to refund me for all 3 items I purchased, and I would never be setting foot inside a Michaels store again. Michaels, you lost a customer for life tonight--all over $5. You can thank Ruby for that. But I'm guessing from the other 1-star reviews that this will fall on deaf ears, since lack of customer service seems to be your company policy. I'll be calling your corporate office tomorrow and demanding to have all my personal information removed from your servers and my rewards account closed. I'll be doing 100% of my shopping from now on at Hobby Lobby. Their selection is much better, and they make it a policy to take care of their customers. Enjoy the $5 you saved tonight! If you keep giving lousy customer service, you may need to apply that toward your bankruptcy attorney fund one day.

The associate who was supposed to be helping the customers are super rude and dont have any customer service skills. I asked if they have any push pins and he was like I dont have anything even close to what you’re looking for. I wanted to make sure to let him know that I need just any pins to hang the balloons and he didn’t want to listen to me and start yelling that like i said i dont have it. I am not here to shop at his house. He could have just explained to me nicely and instead he was very rude and yelling at my face. I didn’t feel like I am being treated like customer here. Never again go to this dumpster store.

I must admit this store looked a little bare it is a big area and not as well stocked as some similar stores. However I found what I was looking for and the checkout staff were very nice.

I went to Michaels to purchase individual boxes for my Halloween cookies. The store was organized very well. Everything was neatly arranged. I was fortunate to run into Hayden who explained how I could get a coupon on my cell phone. When I checked out, I asked the clerk to speak to the store manager. When she arrived, I asked her for her name. She said it was Hayden. Whoever made her the store manager, made a wise decision.I also called the 800 number to give my compliments about the store. John the representative was very customer friendly.In the future, I intend to purchase all my baking supplies at this store. It has fair prices, quality merchandise, and a friendly store atmosphere.

District manager was wonderful and quickly addressed the awful experience I had. Aside from the one rude manager, everyone else there is so friendly and helpful.
