Never ever think of opting banking services of Midfirst guys whoever’s reading this review. It’s good if you can relate to Trustpilot and BBB page of Midfirst and then determine their extremely awful banking service which you’ll be tormented with. So without even thinking of opting any sort of banking service of Midfirst simply go for an alternative rather then messing with the worst ever banking service provider in name of MidFirst Bank.

So, my wife and I had just moved to the Phoenix area. We were driving by MidFirst Bank's corporate office when we were caught in a huge thunderstorm and a flash flood. Our engine flooded and stalled and we ran into the office lobby to escape the heavy rain, hail, and lightning. The office employees were absolutely wonderful. They directed us to the restrooms, gave us a place to sit in the lobby, and brought us water and blankets. They kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed, even well past the office's closing time. Some of them even went out into the rain with me (and got completely soaked) helping me push my car out of the puddle and into a dry parking spot. I didn't get any of the employees' names, but they were incredible. They saved us. Real community spirit. Thank you, whoever you are. My wife and I won't forget you.

Anthony Snider at Midfirst and a majority of the staff are incompetent and lack any customer service skills. I've never dealt with such a smug and incompetent individual. As a V.P. this chap should be fired. I say, send him back to Alaska. Step up and do your job and take care of your clients. It would appear that the same opinions of your other clients are the same. The worst Bank in town. Folks save yourself the aggravation and bank with a different company.

Banking at the Scottsdale Rd Branch for 5years and can only rave about the branch as well as customer service. Any problems I have ever had, only a few, were resolved promptly.

I have worked in the financial industry for over 15 years and never had experience with such a horrible bank. I had my Home Equity Line of Credit paid off via wire and there were excess funds owed to me. Regulation CC states that funds should be available same day or next based on posting time. It has now been over two weeks and I don't have a single explanation why my funds are not available. I have escalated the call, requested management to call, the director to call and no one calls back. I submitted a request with two representatives and after two weeks, nothing. I followed up after two weeks, a representative said management would call when they have time. It had been over two weeks and supposedly they do not have time. I really hope someone at a higher level in this organization sees this to make a change within their organization. Their customer service is horrendous and they are failing to abide by federal regulations regarding excess holds of funds. I would highly recommend no one ever banks with them. They refuse to assist and just read off scripts. Anything that needs to be escalated will not be handled. I have also reported them to the BBB and filed a complaint with the CFPB about failing to abide by federal regulations.

I lost my bank card ( the yellow one) and went to get another. I was told the machine is down due to a part that's on order, but I could go to another location and get a card. I ask where. they said Camelback...that's 20+ miles away! I go back 2 months later and its still not fixed. Not to mention the change machine was broken. So, I go into the branch 10 days ago and order the yellow card. Still waiting for it. I call yesterday and ask what the status was on the card. After I confirmed who I was and where I lived, I was told "oh its on its way and just waiting for you to activate it"...so I say, "when was it mailed?"....she checked for a minute, then asked to put me on hold......then she comes back and says, "can I call you back? I'm not seeing that info"..I say sure.....I never got a call back. WTF is going on?

Staff is always politely and half a** informing you of certain policies. If I opt out of overdraft...why is it I'm seeing not only a overdraft, the overdraft fee, an a extended over draft fee? Totaling $60. I asked for a copy of the letter I signed that stated I opted out of it and they stated "if it's and ACH withdrawal, we will charge you overdraft fees but your unable to use your debit card for overdraft. WHAT IN THEEEEE FUDGE!!! So because the lack of information your staff gave me, I'm charged and they just shrug their shoulders and politely apologize. I swear policy overrides common sense. Don't trip MidFirst, this won't be the only review I leave

I used to rant and rave to family and friends about Midfirst. They've gone downhill in the last couple of years. They lack enough conveniently located ATMs, therefore you use a non-Midfirst one and have to pay that fee, and then Midfirst charges a fee. Recently learned if you do a balance inquiry at an ATM while you're already paying to withdraw money, Midfirst will charge you a fee for that too.

The clown said I would anger him if I called his employees (who told me three different stories) a liar again.

I have been using MidFirst Bank on Elliot Rd in Tempe for ~10 years as my secondary bank since my primary bank is PNC in NJ. I have always been impressed with the customer service and friendly staff and management. Today that has changed. I went to cash a check similar what I have been doing for years. I was told I had to come into the bank. When I went into the bank and asked the manager Michelle what had changed since I have been doing it at the drive thru for years. She proceeded to tell me it had always been the policy and the management has changed. She was arrogant and her attitude was just not what I have experienced in the past. I will definitely consider moving my funds to another bank.

If there was an option for less stars I would have input that! This bank is such a mess. Everyone tries to be very nice, but the infrastructure itself does not allow the employees to assist the customer. Employees at this bank will gladly pass you to another department and misguide because their hands are tied. They must just listen to clients complain all day about getting regular assistance for their credit card and banking. My particular issue has regulatory implications! If your credit card is closed due to fraud, they don't have a way to redeem your rewards points and they are forfeited! Who benefits from that... the bank!!

This bank is a disaster!! I just closed my account. But like other reviews I have to say the branch staff is very nice and the branches are very pretty. Unfortunately, they're pretty much useless. They can't effect anything. I have to give them a score of -10 (yes minus 10) for their online banking. Looks like something written in DOS from 1987. Has absolutely NO Functionality! All of their banking technology is like 30 years behind. I thought it would be a good thing to form a business relationship with a regional bank. WRONG! I don't know what MidFirst bank thinks it's doing, but it certainly isn't trying to help their small business customers.

I am closing my accounts on Monday. I have had my accounts for 1 1/2 years and I have had nothing but trouble. I first opened my account for school as they are ASU's banking partner, but moving 40k into the accounts took 1 month. I was not able to pay my rent or other bills, and the hardship it caused was significant. The ATMs are so outdated and slow! If you deposit anything in the ATM be prepared to wait a week plus, so if you need your funds make sure to go in the bank, but it will still take a day to clear. My rent check bounced when the funds were available and after 2 hours being passed around on the phone by customer service, I was advised to go into the branch for help. The branch manager could not figure out what happened and had to call someone for assistance. They finally realized that my transfer of funds from savings to checking took 24 hours to clear, and even though the funds were there, and the check processed two days later the system saw it as no funds available. That was a fun mess to clean up, but they actually helped and waived the enormous amount of fees, even though I still payed fees through my landlord for NSF and check return. There system is severely out of date!!! The glitches in the system are frustrating and the fees are outrageous!! They do not reverse fees either, you have to beg, and even when it's their system error they make you feel like they are giving you a kidney by reversing the fees that are caused by their system errors. I did not want to have overdraft protection on my accounts because they charge $12 dollars for the service and a $35 dollar overdraft fee, but in order to remove the protection I had to go into the branch and sign a paper of authorization. I thought that would be all that had to be done but I was told it had to be submitted and reviewed and would take a couple days. Submitted to whom? Days??? I would honestly stay away as there are much better banks that have up to date technology!!

Horrible treatment of 6 year customer. when I signed up they said they will cover any external ATM withdrawal charge. and they just recently changed that without any notification. They said they sent an email to the customers (they didn't or it went to spam or (no one reads eblast emails) I was not only charged $4 ATM charge but also bank service fee of $3. last month I had some cash spending's and had to use ATMs several times so my total money waste was huge!!!! SHAME ON YOU Midfirst! I will post this review everywhere I can! I'm so mad! I'm closing my account with you forever! and I'll suggest to my friends who bank with you to do the same.
