ZERO STARS!!! Unsafe living conditions.I have never lived in a place with worse management. The management team showed multiple times truly do not care about the residents as the A/C in my unit had gone out 3 separate occasions during the summer months. The first time we had a A/C issue in July the maintenance team had informed us that “it’s just because the air filter is dirty. We’ll put a new one in. Give it about 48 hrs and you should see an improvement.” I patiently waited the 48 hours and still has ZERO A/C in the unit. I requested maintenance again as it’s the middle of summer over 100 degrees outside with no A/C. Maintenance came again, looked at the A/C and said “If I had to guess your A/C is leaking freon but I’m not certified to fix it. You’ll have to wait until after the 4th of July weekend. I would offer you a portable A/C but it’s not going to do anything.” Following the holiday weekend maintenance came by again following me putting in another service request for the A/C as it had still not been fixed. I get a call in the middle of my work day from maintenance reporting they were trying to get into the unit to complete the maintenance request for the A/C but they had broken their copy of my units key in the lock and needed me to come to the leasing office to make another copy of my key while they now fix the lock to the unit and then the A/C all while my Roomate and I have our dogs in the unit… completely unsafe living conditions in the middle of summer. I drop off the key to the leasing office for them to make a copy and come home to A/C. The A/C had continued to go out 2 other times. Once more in august and lastly in September a week or two before the lease ended. Again temperature of 100 degree heat or more. The maintenance team provided us with a portable A/C unit that would only go in one bedroom for a 2X2 apartment. When asking for an extra portable unit we were told “all the other portables are being used at this time.” We continued to ask for an additional portable daily. When the addition probable A/C unit was added to the other bedroom we couldn’t even run it for more than 2-3 minutes without the power in the entire unit going out. When speaking to Gabriel the assistant manger at the leasing office about the situation he reported “Well we have you a reasonable living condition in the room with the portable A/C. That’s all we can do for you. If you’d like to talk about this further we can talk about this in court.” The fact that this was not the last A/C outage should have been a huge concern for the property manager/ assistant manager but unfortunately it was treated without concern. Amenities such as the pool and the hot tub are always dirty filled with murky water or closed for maintenance but yet you still get charged a community amenities fee for things that don’t even work.Safety is another huge concern for this building as multiple times we had multiple random people who didn’t live in the building try to get into our unit. You pay to live in a gated community where the gates are always broken. There are many units that are being used as Airbnb’s in the complex as well creating an unsafe living environment as people are constantly in and out of the complex who don’t have to live with the consequences of their actions following leaving the complex. If you have Amazon prime, you might as well cancel your membership right now because all packages are handled through a third-party service called fetch, which means he won’t get your package for another day or two after it has been delivered as you have to schedule a delivery time. Many packages end up being stolen from your doorstep and will not be replaced as fetch takes a photo of them delivering the package to your doorstep during the delivery time that you scheduled. You left with the package that you ordered and money as you won’t be able to be refunded. Overall stay away from living at Moderne!

Everything is broken. When I first moved into my one bedroom in September, it seemed they didn’t even clean or check it after the previous tenant moved out.Giant stains on the carpet, dirty musty smell, patio covered in weeds and dirt, broken sink, bedroom door didn’t lock, broken outlets etc. I spoke to management about all the problems and they were very nice but didn’t do anything. I had to submit multiple requests and visit the leasing office several times a week.The stains are STILL here, and the other problems took probably a month to fix.They also overcharged my rent bill twice and add tons of extra fees. My rent bill is about $300 more a month than what it says on my lease.My washing machine is so small that it doesn’t fit my comforter. I have to borrow my friends washing machine to wash my bedding, and considering how much I pay to live here, this is just horrible. My dishwasher was broken and it took them literally two weeks to fix it. They kept pushing back the day when they would fix it, it was almost comical how much they kept saying it would be fixed.My AC breaks about every 2 weeks and my ice machine hasn’t worked the entire time I've been here, I have use ice molds.Maintenance guys are really nice, I don’t think it’s their fault it seems to be the management and outdated appliances.I am not one to write bad reviews and I don’t like bad reviews, but The Moderne has actually been a nightmare and I don’t know what else to do. I am also really disappointed because I have 3 friends from Chicago moving to Scottsdale next year and they were going to move into the Moderne to be close together, but after hearing my experiences here they are looking at other places. So sad that I already cant wait to move out.

I would really love to speak with a leasing agent but I cannot get ahold of anyone. I have gone to the property, contacted via email, submitted a tour request twice in the last two weeks and I’m not getting a response. I’m very interested in the property itself but can’t seem to get assistance or a tour to apply.

Horrible experience, and if I could give it zero stars I would. Lived there in 2019 and it was a beautiful property at the time but have nothing but bad things to say about the recent experience, mostly that the property is UNSAFE. Bikes were stolen, drunk people banging on the door in the middle of the night and gates left wide open all night for days on end. Insult to injury we received a charge for carpet cleaning and paint touch up upon move out. I've attached pictures to show the condition I left the apartment in so you can see that management abuses their power and unfortunately the tenants rights to not being charged for "normal wear and tear" mean nothing. Irresponsible pet owners not picking up their pet poop and bringing then into the pool enclosure while management looks on....and the Fetch system is a joke. Just stay away!

Going on my fourth year of living at the moderne, Tommy has been the best at helping me out throughout my years of my residency. He has gone above and beyond to meet all my expectations of living in the best home. If you find yourself touring the moderne, ask for Tommy and he’ll find you a good home and exceed all your expectations.

I’ve lived here for 3 years going on 4! Love living here! Management, amenities, prompt service if something needs fixing, repairing, lights out ect! Tommy is amazing and always there when we need something! Above and beyond every time!

I’ve lived here for a little over a year now and just renewed my lease. The property is well-maintained and Tommy does a great job of making sure all tenant inquiries and requests are satisfied.

I am going on my 5th year at the moderne solely because Tommy is always extremely helpful and makes staying here easy. I've toured apartments over the years thinking I would want to leave but can't ever seem to find better, ask for Tommy at the front he'll take care of you.

I give it two stars for the location, however without it the rating would be less than 1 star.The current management for The Moderne (AMC LLC) are incredibly incompetent & fee hungry. Any new tenants signing a lease be weary of the agreement, as they will try to squeeze every inch of fees out of you.If you break your lease they will charge you 2X the rent until it is re-rented. Also any other fee that they will put on you that is incredibly overpriced (That's how they make money).The apartments have cheap material everywhere, I had leaks through my roof that happened 3 times, and all they did was put paint & dry wall to cover it. There's constant parties/noise everywhere since the walls and ceilings are incredibly thin. The overall community is incredibly dirty with smells of dog poop & human urine throughout the complex. The gates are always broken even after they tear it down & "fix it".Any service request will take 2-3 days on average under this management. Alongside with rude service workers who are questionable to say the least.These are by no means "luxury" apartments. They are complete scammers. There's clearly a reason why the management changed more than 3 times in my 3 years of staying here. The location is very nice though, however everything else is basuda.

During my stay here it was difficult to ever get anyone on the phone, common area fees are expensive, yet the dog park always had flies and poop. Amenities like the corn hole was always missing bags and their jumbo connect four was broken. My vehicle also got towed without any notice. When trying to get clarification with Gabriel the manager why there was no notice he started saying “It’s not my fault and I’m feeling attacked” when not once did I ever even raise my voice.You are also required to pay a monthly fee with fetch to get your packages mailed to you. I witnessed an Amazon driver get down at the office and the manger saw his uniform and instantly said “we’re a fetch delivery service” and walked out without even hearing what the driver had to say.Not only was I ready to leave this place they are now calling me saying I owe a ridiculous amount of money for damages and cleaning fees when the move out inspection emailed to me clearly shows there are no damages left in the apartment. A complete headache The modern has been.

The Moderne, overall, has been a mixed experience. Of course the location is awesome. We have lived here for 4 years, and really like the apartment. Maintenance has been great. But the front office staff promises much more than they deliver. New owners are corporate focused…bottom line is everything. And it shows in their customer service. Previous owners were much easier to work with. For specifics, grill aread and Zen garden are great. But we have to beg to keep the gym clean and stocked with sanitary wipes. The hallways are not kept clean. They decided to charge a “Common Area Maintenance Fee” but don’t keep up with the dog feces. The appliances are below average. The garage security gates have been broken for three months at a time. They say they have quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am, but won’t enforce it.The pool is never heated, when we were promised it would be. Can’t recommend based on cost and other options in the area.

Tommy is simply the best! He is always friendly, knowledgeable and beyond helpful in a time of need. He goes above and beyond for the residents.Courtney is also truly amazing. Courtney and Tommy both truly care about their residents and go out of their way to make you feel at home. I couldn’t recommend them both enough!

My daughter lived here for two years. I stayed with her on many occasions when coming to visit. Prior to the sell of the community it was maintained wonderfully, security was wonderful and it was peaceful. It was like staying in a nice resort. After the sell of the property the decline was quickly evident. Lack of security, dog feces throughout, loud parties and zero customer service. The phones were never answered. She reluctantly decided to move but is much happier. Buyer beware the move out charges they will apply are laughable. Take many pictures when you exit.
