Taking my dog here to have his teeth cleaned, maybe. I call to find out what the paperwork is I will be signing, I want to review it. The woman, who says when I ask for the Office Manager, "I am the Office Manager right now" refuses to send me the paperwork, that speaks volumes. time to find a new vet maybe.

I had a great experience with Scottsdale Animal Ranch! Over the holidays this year I needed boarding care for my six year old cat. He came back happy, extremely clean and well fed. The prices here are also very fair and competitive with other boarding locations in the valley. Their cat boarding accommodations are visible to the front lobby, and when I went to check it out before boarding my cat, the staff was friendly and willing to let me have a look around. MANY places in the Phoenix area are disgusting and unsanitary for animals, but Scottsdale Animal Ranch is an awesome option if you must board your animal. I felt safe leaving my cat with the staff, I will be returning if I have to leave town again!

I can't say enough great things about Veterinarian Dr. Taylor McCoy! My family has been bringing our cats to Ranch Animal Hospital for many years with the outstanding care of Dr. John Nick, who retired last year. My own 2 cats are now 16 and 17 years old, with my 17 yr. old in the early stages of kidney disease, so excellent veterinary care is absolutely crucial. Dr. McCoy provides exactly that! He is thorough, so knowledgeable about everything, and most importantly, has such a friendly and positive attitude! He's a wonderful listener and communicator-- so patient answering my (many) questions-- I never feel rushed or ignored, so I have total faith & understanding in his judgements & treatments. In fact, since consulting him, my cat is improving-- verified by her recent blood test results! Dr. McCoy works a full schedule of hours at the Hospital, which gives me such peace of mind knowing that prompt, even immediate care is also available. A key member of his care team is his outstanding Vet Tech, Tina! Tina previously worked with Dr. John Nick, so her experience and skills are incredible! And, she is the most amazing kindest person-- so caring and gentle with my cats-- so even they aren't stressed! From nail trims to medical procedures, Tina does a Perfect job! Everyone is SO nice, and greets my cats and me by name! And-- an extra special "thanks" to Brenda, who is so delightful & amazing, and manages everything from appointments to office workings to perfection! She's Great! Dr. McCoy has found his calling caring for animals, and does it so well. My "Thank You" is to recommend everyone see Dr. McCoy at Scottsdale Ranch Animal Hospital.

The quality of care here was not what any pet parent would want and expect to receive for their dog. Dr. Nick's bedside manner left much to be desired. His communication style was arrogant and condescending. He was blunt and showed no compassion when delivering the news that my dog had a poor prognosis and yet recommended a lot of expensive diagnostics. In addition, the vet tech's technique was abrupt and rushed. There was no effort made to reduce my sick dog's fear and anxiety. I would not recommend this animal hospital to anyone. I would give it zero stars if I could.

The staff here are amazing!! They were so sweet and caring when I brought my doggy in after injuring her foot. Dr. McCoy was wonderful, he explained everything so well with shared decision making that was so appreciated. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I had just gotten out of the hospital and had asked if my son could pick up a prescription for my dog. (One dog takes daily) She would not give me the pain meds for my dog because it had been a year since his teeth were cleaned and she wanted blood work first.Even though I told them I would come in within the month( as soon as I felt I could), she still denied pain meds for my poor aged dog! He just had his teeth cleaned last year. BTW, I had been in a couple times within the year with another problem, so it was not like she had not received her Important $$ then, as a matter of fact, I believe she took blood then! Dr. Heather Sanchez is the most inhumane vet that I could ever imagine!!!! it seems to me she is only interested in pet $ revenues rather than my pet's health! I am in absolute tears over a vet being so heartless!!! If you treasure your pet and have plenty of money she may be ok for you, but I adore and value my pet and will spend money on him anytime I believe it is necessary. this is inexcusable to me though!!

I really like the vets here! They were very knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me services I didn't need. I will definitely return with my 2 dogs.

Be ready to wait 3-4 hours for simple appointments! This place runs very behind and can not guarantee appointment times

Disappointed and sad to see this practice become a money grab. Long gone is the caring of Dr Stolpher who was an excellent doctor and so kind and caring. He remembered things about our pets from years gone by--he trimmed cats claws as part of his wellness visit. Now there is a charge for a simple claw trim He would do the trim while talking and it took less than 2 minutes. Sadly I will be looking for a new veterinary---I am convinced they are required to run up a tab (like billable hours) to keep their corporate owner happy.

Charged $350 for x-rays . It was an emergency visit and I understand to be charged more (which they did) but on top of that emergency fee to charge another $350 on xrays is inane. Everyone is charging $15-$100 with the absolute highest I could find on-line @$250 for same procedure. If you want to pay WAY MORE than you'd pay anywhere else this is the place to go. UPDATE: The cat is in heat. Never owned a cat so had no idea what a cat does when in heat. What kind of vet is Dr. Nick if he couldnt figure out why the cat was behaving the way I described.UPDATE#2 After , the owner himself, answered the initial review (on a diferent site) I called them. They tried to convince me $350 for normal Xray is reasonable in Scottsdale. I asked them to call Hillside Animal Hospital and check prices in the same zip code, same area . Hillside, for example is charging $100 less for xray and $50 less for consultation. Also, they told me the doctor had no idea cat is in heat, because I could not tell exactly tell how old the cat was (the cat was a stray and I adopted her the month prior). Mind boggling .

I am so pleased with the service of this animal hospital. Due to COVID, I was asked to stay in the car as they took my dog inside for her shots. I had a different vet each time and both of them were kind and willing to answer my questions. The staff here really care about your animals. I couldn't be happier with my experience!

We have been with this practice 24 years as love the care by Dr Stolper and Dr Nick Sr! Such down to earth, caring wonderful vets. With health issues and Covid, I changed practices as not happy with Dr Nick Jr. Every visit is an academic class and though I'm an RN he speaks very scientific accompanied by expensive tests. The senior doctors do not practice this way. They are both down to earth, friendly, and over the years a few tests have been ordered. Brenda at the front has always been wonderful and caring for my dogs but the cranky older gray haired woman whose been with them a LONG time is cold and unfriendly both on the phone or and in person Tired of calling and neither of my docs are seeing patients or back in office! It was time to leave Thank you Dr Stolper and Nick Sr for the great care

I remember we have my old cat Sunny. They take care of her. We actually know Dr. Stolper for 12 years. So now, he is retired. We have new kitten home. After my old cat Sunny's died. Dr Madison just call us. She gave us a nice new kitten home. We adopted her on July 1st. She is very cute. She has 3 brothers and 1 sister.
