Clean and friendly Safeway in DC Ranch. Slightly smaller than the Safeway stores on Scottsdale road, but more upscale when it comes to meat and liquor selections.
As with all Safeway locations, the staff is friendly. I particularly like the Pharmacy staff at this location.

Did an Uber delivery from here.
Since they're think we're all trashy thieves they should at least update their instructions to mention that I need to carry around a drivers license for ID. They can also scrap the part about going to the customer service desk and maybe get rid of the covid hysterics.
I didn't find the pickup staffer to be particularly friendly. Safeway, keep giving me reasons to avoid your stores.

Great store, clean, decent prices for the area, and lots of varieties of food! Hubby and I just wanted to grab a sandwich for dinner that was no frills and we got that and more!

I used to love this store until today. Customer service manager treated me like I was thief. I got permission to shop for my elderly grandparent and the customer service manager accused me of stealing my grandparents credit card since my grandparent needed cash back , yes I made a scene in the store my grandparent needed their groceries my grandparent asked to speak to the manager and they embarrassed me. I will be reporting this to the news, and to cooperate you lost my business if you would have talked to my grandparent this would have been resolved. I might file a lawsuit too I work hard for my family and I get treated like a criminal bad business practice. I get Safeway has policy but how I got treated not ok you guys donāt know what people go through mentally or financially and how inflation affects the people. Thanks for causing my PTSD to go off the roof and my aniexty . I donāt think customers would appreciate bad treatment. The customer service manager gave me attitude so of course I would give attitude back. I will be calling you guys tomorrow.

Store 1663Visted this store. Did not have a good customer service experience.New to the State of Arizona. While grocery shopping I approached the individual that oversee the alcoholic beverages. I inquired about a product, she stated that she did have in stock. However, she then stated that she could not sell to me because I was not a resident/customer of Scottsdale Safeway. She then stated that she goes by a list and they are hold for special customers that reside in the area. I asked to be put on the list she then declined due to me not living in the area.I have worked in a grocery store for over 11years and never experienced customer service of this magnitude.I was very disappointed to be handled that way.

The Manager is super nice! However their new staff is lacking in customer service. I needed help with a refund for a purchase made minutes prior with an adjustment from the Click and Save app. I asked the wrong person and he said āone thing at a timeā How rude! Not Iāll be with you in a minute or How can I be of assistance. However the Store Director Jack Daniel, gave me a call and spoke to the associate and hopefully he'll learn to be more courteous and congenial. I'll shop at this location again and perhaps have a better shopping experience.
