I was at this Safeway completing a DoorDash delivery and needed help finding specific bottles of wine. The grocery manager I spoke with was friendly and helpful, but when he referred me to the wine manager, things went downhill fast.
The wine manager was incredibly rude and dismissive. When I asked where the items were, he gave a vague answer like “it’s on the left side, down at the bottom,” and acted irritated when I asked if he could walk me to the item. I’ve worked retail before, and good customer service means helping customers find what they need — not belittling them for asking for assistance.
Instead of helping, he made a sarcastic comment about needing to “learn to read the labels,” which are barely visible and designed more like decorations than clear signage. It was unnecessarily rude and made the experience much more stressful than it needed to be.
I understand it’s a holiday and everyone is busy, but that’s no excuse for treating people poorly. Hopefully, this feedback reaches management so they can address the importance of respectful and helpful service — especially from department leads.

I have had probably one of the worst shopping experiences tonight. Yesterday I placed an online pick up order at around 4:45 when it showed the pick up times it said it wouldn’t be ready until the next day. This was unfortunate but realized I must have just put the order in too late I set a time for 5 pm to get it today. When I arrived I waited in my car for twenty minutes. When no one came out I called twice to the phone number they have on the sign have got no answer. I then went in and the associate said she never saw a notification and said she would be out in a few minutes. When I unloaded the groceries at home I noticed 11 items were not there and was given someone else’s receipt.(upsetting because they had 24 hours to get my order) I then went back and showed which items were not in the order and the associate let me go and grab them. I then thought I would grab some substitutions of items that weren’t available and checked out separately with these items. I then left and came home to find out I had left the items I paid separately for. I then got in my car again drove back and luckily an associate saw one of my bags but one bag was missing and someone must have stolen it from self checkout and I had to rebuy all these items again. So all in all I spent two hours in driving back and forth, unloading, reshopping, and had to rebuy products that had been stolen. I wish I would have just gone and shopped myself in the first place. Also, who would take someone else’s groceries in this economy??? :(

I have never been to this Safeway and not had problems with things ringing up for the wrong price or having things on my receipt that I did NOT purchase. Here is another example from yesterday... blueberries advertised for $5, so I bought some. Rang up as $6.99. So I had to waste 5 minutes of my time going to customer service to get a refund. Nice lady said they programmed the registers wrong. I asked since they now knew for sure that the price was ringing up wrong for everyone what they would do about it. She responded they would do nothing, but if anyone happened to notice on the receipt they got charged the wrong price they would refund the money. I feel sorry for all those folks who don't check their receipts carefully after each and every trip to Safeways. This is fraud to know you are charging customers a higher price than advertised.

Do not use the Safeway pharmacy if you actually want to get your prescription on the day your doctor calls it in. I spoke with someone in the pharmacy on Friday morning and was assured that once my doctor called in the Rx, I would be notified when it was ready to pick up. I went all weekend, needing my medication, and assuming that my doctor had not done their part only to find out on Monday that my prescription has been filled and ready since 5 PM on Friday, but no one from Safeway notified me. They clearly need a clearly need a better system if they want to provide good service to their customers.

We live a couple hundred feet away from this Safeway. They recently started replacing their parking lot from 2:30 - 6:00 a.m. Lots of loud beeping, revving, rocks crashing and banging. Not very respectful of your neighbors.

Customer service is always hiding in their little mirrored office making you stand there and wait when you can clearly see them doing absolutely nothing. They put the closed sign out way before 8pm apparently to deter you from even trying to get help.

Love this neighborhood super market. They have the best selection of products and the staff is extremely helpful and kind. Always a great shopping experience.

etremely high priced store! Things that are dble the price ON SALE versus Walmart prices. Somebody is getting very wealthy but sorry I can't afford to contribute to that...
