I have NEVER been so frustrated with a vet before. They are the absolute WORST to get in contact with and trying to schedule. I submitted a stupid form online only to not receive a call back for DAYS. I called three times in one day to get NO CALL BACK. I called and left voicemails BEGGING for them to text me or email me so we can plan something for my dog to get in since my primary vet recommended them. Now they finally texted yesterday but have not ANSWERED any of my text or calls and continue to call at arbitrary times leaving condensing voicemails about "it's hard to schedule through text" when my question is clear. DO YOU HAVE APPOINTMENT IF SO WHEN. So so so rude. So unprofessional. Do not recommend. Even MY VET tried contacting them and said to just go elsewhere now. I wanted to go here. They obviously didn't want my fur baby or I here.

Our primary vet referred us to Dr. Aguirre because our Zymba had kidney and bladder stones. Everyone was so kind and Dr. Aguirre talked us through everything. After our first visit we had a plan to do surgery and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Our boy is back to his old self and thriving. Thank you Salt River Veterinary Specialists!!

Salt River Vet is the BEST! We were referred to Dr. Aguirre by our regular vet. Our Cairn Terrier Duke was extremely sick and the standard lab testing wasn’t giving us any answers.Dr. Aguirre literally saved Duke’s life!! After he did the ultrasound he knew exactly what the issue was and started treating him immediately. I brought in a very sick dog that morning and they gave me a whole different dog back that afternoon! He had been chilly due to his condition and they were nice enough to put his sweater back on after his procedure. Those small acts of kindness really mean a lot. I know every situation is different and we got lucky with Duke’s condition being a very treatable one, but after months of watching our dog decline and having no answers, I will forever be grateful to Dr. Aguirre and Salt River Vet for saving my little buddy. Pic is of a healthy Duke enjoying the holidays after Dr. Aguirre saved him! We’ve also seen Dr. Shaver and had great experiences with her too. Both Dr. Aguirre and Dr. Shaver are very practical and pragmatic. They take the time to thoroughly explain the condition and all of the options and answer all of my questions. The staff is friendly, the office is nice and the vets are top notch. I recommend Salt River Vet to every pet owner I know!

Dr. Rose is a kind, empathetic and intelligent specialist. My cat was very ill and we were struggling to get a diagnosis. Not only did she find a diagnosis quickly but worked with us to find the best option for our sweet cat. The best decision was to put our Lazlo down. Dr. Rose understood that both my husband and I are in healthcare and could only come back at 7 pm after work (the vet clinic closes at 5 pm). Dr. Rose was sweet enough and volunteered to stay so we could give our cat a peaceful and loving goodbye. We are so grateful to Dr. Rose for all she did for us. I will be sending all my pets to Dr. Rose because she is truly giving the best care.

$5856.86 spent here with Ultrasounds 4/20/23 and testing and wound up treating my dog for an issue to adreanal gland when he had 4 tumors which were cancerous and they never told us THEY WERE EVEN THEIR A SPOT ON THE LIVER is all . They kept ripping me off with unnecessary testing when they knew he was going to die. /when I CALLED that he was in distress they said call your primary vet. I took him to emergency and was told of the tumor mass detected on his liver, ULTRASOUND DONE and was told he was in bad shape and tumor was pressing on his gallblader and would only suffer.BOTTOM LINE DON'T TAKE THEIR WORD GET A SECOND OPINION RIGHT AWAY, if you love your pet they use this to drain your wallet and then some.

Salt River Veterinary Specialists are phenomenal. Our dog, Theo, had bladder stones and they had moved into his urethra. SRVS scheduled us to see Dr. Radlinsky the next day. After having some unsatisfying consults with other groups we were scared and stressed but Dr. Radlinsky and her assistant were both extremely knowledgable and evidence-based in their approaches. They took time to explain everything and answer our questions thoroughly. The procedure was very reasonable compared to other quotes we had acquired (they only charge you for what is necessary)- but honestly that's not why we chose this group; after meeting Dr. Radlinsky and her assistant, we knew our dog was in the right hands. The cystoscopy was minimally invasive. Our dog was able to go home that day, didn't need a cone (because we could stay home with him), and they helped us control his pain. His incision healed nicely and the doctor has followed up twice to make sure he is doing OK and to answer our questions. I feel so relieved to know this practice exists. Pic is of our little guy soaking up the sun less than 1 week post surgery.

I took my dog here to get her diagnosis of cancer and discuss treatment options. Although the vets and vet techs here are good, it was extremely difficult to get in contact with the veterinarian there. I called to discuss lab results and they took an entire week to get back to me. In that week my dog declined so much that I had to put her down. Even though putting her down would have probably been the move if the vet had called sooner, I was left worrying about missing information for longer than I should have. I paid a few thousand dollars for these tests and I deserved the results in a reasonable manner. The lack of attention that was given to her has made the grieving process even more difficult. I would recommend this place only if the staff becomes more attentive to their patients.

When chewy called to get authorization for my special food they were told no that I had to come in for an office visit before they would approve it.So chewy called and sent an email advising me of this not the vet office. All they had to do was approve it then call me and advise me I had to come in before any more approvals ,something I would have done with no problem. They chose to leave my dog with limited food until my new vet will approve it.This shows how they care for animals,a place I will not return too.

Excellent care for your pet. My only beef is 99.9% of the time you will never be able to talk to a live person when you first call. I’ve personally called them multiple times and only got a live person once.

We received such wonderful and compassionate care for our dog Dino. Our pup doesn't particularly like vets offices but Dr. Aguirre and his entire staff were so wonderful with him and he was very much at ease in their care.

I researched laparoscopic spay, because I wanted an easier recovery for my one year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. Laparoscopic spay is a specialty spay, in which only the ovaries are removed. I found Salt River and knew after the consultation that my girl was going to be in good hands. Dr. Maryann Radlinsky was so very thorough and answered all questions. On surgery day, she called to let me know how my girl was doing and that they would call again once again, after surgery. Approx 90 minutes later, the surgery over and my baby was in recovery. Two small slits and internal stitches. We picked her up at 3:30 that afternoon. Other than being really hungry and Thursday, she was doing great. We gave her pain meds that evening but she hasn't had any since. The hardest part now is keeping her still. She wants to play and needs to be calm for 8-10 days. This recovery is nothing like the invasive spays I've subjected my girls to in the past. The office called the next day to see how things were going and they were very pleased that my girl wasn't taking pain meds and was acting normal. Minimally invasive is the way to go and I highly recommend Salt River and Dr.Rad. You owe it your beloved pet.

Dr. Aguirre and his team are very caring! I knew my Cat was in good hands and never had a doubt about the Kidney Bypass surgery. I felt very welcome in the clinic and I was given all the information I needed. I was not rushed either. They take their time to ensure a GREAT experience!
