We just moved to the Scottsdale area from Illinois and I knew I needed a new local vet for general checkups for my dog, but my dog was also having some GI issues and constant soft stools for (probably) months before us moving here which in turn just got worse due to the stress from the move.I had taken my pup to our vet back home before moving here in which I was basically told to just try out different brands/flavors of food and do the "elimination method" to find the cause, and the general fecal sample test in which nothing ever came about - I felt like I was brushed off.I decided to give Scottsdale Animal Healthcare a shot based off of the great Yelp reviews I saw online, and literally from the moment that the receptionist picked up the phone when I called I knew I chose the right place to try. I believe I spoke to Kylie the receptionist who was extremely nice and I felt like she actually cared about my dog when I was explaining my pups situation to her, and I even got a same day appointment that evening.Upon arriving to their facility every single staff was so warm and welcoming, coming out to say hi to my pup and giving her lots of praise/treats. We had nurse Bailee and Dr. Rice, both of whom were AMAZING, and they listened to every single word I said/background of my dog before explaining our options for testing. They both got down to my pup's level and sat down on the floor with her to make her more comfortable as she was a little stressed from the new environment, and they both couldn't have been more friendly and patient with my girl. We received a printed out quote/cost breakdown of the cost that everything would be that they recommended for my pup before asking us for a decision which was great, and we received our results very quickly a few days after our appointment with a thorough breakdown email from Dr. Rice.I would 100% recommend trusting Dr. Rice and the team here with the care of your animals, and will absolutely be a returning client without even attempting to try anywhere else! Thank you to the whole team for making our first visit a great one!

The staff was SO sweet and welcoming and accommodating. The dr was incredible and so kind and patient with me and answered all my questions. She made me feel so comfortable and I felt like everyone genuinely cared about my fur baby.

Another wonderful experience with the team at SAH. They have been taking care of our 3 small fur babies for years, and have always provided comprehensive, gentle care. If you’re in need of a great vet, we can’t recommend this office enough. The front staff and techs are always so professional, warm and welcoming, and treat our dogs as if they were their own. We are always well informed prior to visits and updated appropriately throughout if anything changes during their visit. Very thankful for the level of care they give.

My dogs see Dr.Rachel and I have been very happy with her. She has been our vet for a few years. She is knowledgeable and very good with my dogs. The staff is always friendly, and I can usually get in rather quickly when something comes up. The office is very clean and modern. I love that they have weekend appointments available if needed.

Dr. Rice and her team have a very positive energy, they know Labradors, they have a passion for nature’s wild kingdom. Her knowledge, process, and follow-up is caring and compassionate, in a family friendly, clean, and beautiful. And she is clear about what she can offer so there are no surprises. Our two labs, Aspen and Montana love the place. She also is a good collaborator with our other health providers.

10/10 experience. I am a first time dog owner so naturally I had lots of questions. The staff and Dr. Sullivan answered all my questions and made me feel at ease/confident with my new puppy. Feels so good to have a trustworthy vet in my neighborhood. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Scottsdale Animal Healthcare. Their empathy and attention to detail are truly exceptional. Dr Rice & the entire team have amazing personalities that put both pets and their owners at ease. It's evident that they genuinely care about the well-being of our fur babies.

Always so professional and friendly. They always seem to remain very calm and cool when things get busy. They had an emergency and my appt was delayed but they handled it with ease and were very apologetic. You cannot do anything about emergencies and they had to help the mid patient. I appreciated how they made sure we were all taken care of as soon as possible.

Dr Alex is amazing! We had a lot of different concerns about our little guy. He took the time to explain to us what was normal as our dog begins to age. The front desk staff is always friendly and quick to check in and out.

Super friendly staff and was super flexible on being able to change my appointment as well as getting me scheduled in a timely manner! Seemed to be very professional and I think handled my kitty with care.

I can’t say enough great things about Scottsdale Animal Healthcare! They’re like family - the genuinely love and care for each animal that comes through their doors and are so thorough and kind. They run a beyond efficient clinic that is always clean and inviting. We will only bring our fur babies here.

After over 30 years of pet ownership, THIS is the best veterinarian office I have ever experienced. The entire staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. They made us (and our pet) feel welcome and secure with a concern born out of a true love of animals. The care and attention were second to none, and I am overjoyed to have discovered this amazing animal clinic. ❤️

I can’t say enough amazing things about this clinic. Dr Rachel has been my dogs vet for a few years now and she is absolutely amazing. This vet genuinely cares about your animal and doesn’t jump to chasing your money every time. They want the best for the animals and the owners as well. My dog is terrified of the vet and everyone there is so sweet and will get down literally sitting on the floor to help my dog be more comfortable. Their advice is always amazing and they genuinely listen to concerns. I’m so thankful that I found this vet when I moved to Scottsdale and will never go anywhere else.
