Glenn was extremely rude when I asked about separate charges to my card about parking fees. Could’ve been more pleasant and will not be back to stay.

Cons: took a while for the water to get hot but even then, the maintenance guys were on it I heard them checking out water in the rooms near us.Pros: Everything else, I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service I received when checking in and then especially at the bar! Darlene is the best bartender I’ve ever met. She knows her stuff and how to make a drink. I’m not normally even a drinker. My husband tried many of them. She’s so fun and personable, I feel like I was learning stuff every time we went to see her! She is a serious gem!!

By far the best hotel experience I've ever had! Everyone was outstanding. Super friendly, knowledgeable & professional. Specifically, Hollie. Oh wow! She was amazing! We'll definitely be back.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Hotel Marriott Mountain MacDowell in Scottsdale. Despite booking a room in advance with a view and balcony for a higher price, upon arrival, they claimed all rooms were sold out, leaving me with a subpar room on the first floor by the pool. The promised amenities were not delivered, and the staff offered no resolution. After a tiring seven-hour drive, this experience was unacceptable. Thankfully, I found an alternative hotel in Fountain Hills that provided a much better stay. I cannot recommend Hotel Marriott Mountain MacDowell due to their failure to honor bookings and lack of customer service. Adding to the response of the owner, unfortunately I didn’t have chance to stay at all at the hotel. I see you understand that I was staying and left early. Not at all, I still trying to figure out how you able to book the room you choose for the price, but on arrival that type of room is not available because sold out? I bought one of them! Where did it go? It affected our vacation at this point! We came all the way from California and where left with nothing! We were just lucky that we found another hotel with great amenities and views we were looking for right away! I don’t think I ever come back there, because of service! I am recommending others to make sure you get what you looking for way ahead your stay!

If you fly your own plane in, it is a great place to stay. After 25 years, it shows its age. Service was great--people there are great. The rest of the facility shows its age. Work out area closed to upgrade??

Easy access to the 101. Drinks at the bar were fabulous although priced to keep you from drinking too many. Not happy with the 30 a day add on and the 20 a day for parking... boo probably will have to stay elsewhere on future trips.Rooms: Nice 2 room suites. Fridge is tiny though.

Top Bonvoy member, but you can’t make requests to the hotel via the app, so I called to get a crib ready in my room. Made 3 calls, went over name, last, email, account number, and all kinds of stuff they ask to still don’t have a crib in the room. On the 4th call they just sent me to someone’s voice mail. Not worth the money for the service, not worth using the Bonvoy app due to lack of tools.

Parking plenty. Friendly staff. Quick check in. Gym and pools on sight. Meeting room if needed. Office space. Rooms clean and nice size. Kitchen stocked. Coffee maker. Living room with dining room for the 2 bedroom. Bathrooms are roomy and have body soap, shampoo, cream rinse and lotion available. TVs in all rooms. Beds are warm and comfy with lots of pillows. Walking trail. Gated community. Great place to stay.

It’s been a terrible experience that I hope to never repeat. The front desk gave me a hard time checking in and made it feel like I was wasting their time for double checking the information pertaining my reservation. Also self parking is $20/night. I had to beg for that information. The service was terrible. The server would only refer to us in third person. Very weird experience.

We had a great stay at the Marriott at McDowell Mountains. My only feedback would be that the rooms are in a need of an update, but what they needed in an update, they made up for in the service and main hotel spaces! Everyone was so friendly and kind, exceptional service. Dominick checked us in and when he found out it was our little one's birthday, he made it extra special and sweet. The gentleman at the main bar/dining was fantastic, the housekeepers were all so kind, the valet team - literally everyone. Location is great and overall, great stay!

Stayed at the Marriott the front desk persons were amazing. The rooms could be updated for the price, the location was secluded. The reason for the low review is due to the fact that they charge you a “resort fee” $30 but if you stay 1 night you better get there early so you can eat on your first night. Don’t use it the next day or you will be charged. The food looked amazing, but the potatoes were cold & the waffles. They neglect to tell you that when checking in. It is NOT posted but it is in your pamphlets, but who reads that? Seriously! The $30 resort fee should be able to be used for the stay if you’re staying 1 night. Not the first night. I’m disappointed in how this was handled & the further customer service I was given over the phone. Also would like to note, I was not rude or anything, didn’t use not 1 curse word or yell. The manager (Caleb) threaten to call my home Marriott since I used the friends & family discount about my call. I should be able to tell Marriott I am not satisfied without any repercussions coming to me. That was totally out of line.Again the 2 gentleman at the front desk Friday night were amazing, maybe give the feed back to mention the resort fee is for the same day not the next morning.

Room was nice but seem a bit dated to us. We had dinner their and they messed up several things but took off 20%. Customer service was great! In all honesty, we've stayed in 2 Marriott hotels locally in the Scottsdale / Dessert Ridge area in the past 16 months and they don't seem to be up to what I remember them back in the 1990s - early 2000s. For $350 per night I would expect a bit more. Having said that, we stayed at the JW Marriott in Cancun last May and it was awesome - best customer service I've ever experienced!

I stayed there in the month of October and accidentally selected the wrong date by one day in my reservation. The hotel charged me for that night and then of course I went the next night and stayed and ate food and they refused to give me a credit for the one night that I messed up. I spend a lot of money with Marriott properties. Strongly recommend you don't go there - service and management were terrible!
