We were referred to this office for my husband to get surgery for removal of growth on his eye lid. We originally made the appointment 4-5 months ago for the surgery to be preformed last week. When we got there, it was a two hour wait to see the doctor, which no big deal. We signed all paperwork agreeing to the procedure, told to be there early etc. We got into the room, doctor then proceeded to tell my husband how surgery would go and he can now go ahead and schedule to appointment for the surgery to be done, at this point we are confused as to why we had to wait 4-5 months to have a pre-appointment for a surgery, especially when we were told this is for the surgery, not a consultation. But whatever, now it's been going on a week of trying to schedule an appointment for the surgery but their system has been "down" for over a week so they can't do so. Im not sure how a doctors office has a system down for so long. We are extremely upset with how this office handles things, especially when someones eye growth continues to get bigger and bigger to the point where he is having issues opening his eye.

Dr Garcia is phenomenal! She correctly diagnosed me with inflammation of the eye, where, as another physician in town incorrectly diagnosed me with ectropion. He would have perform surgery on my eyes which was not needed. Dr. Garcia saved me from that by being honest and extremely helpful. She successfully cured the inflammation in my eyes and I am eternally grateful not to have to undergo surgery. She is a true gem.

Dr Garcia is phenomenal. She diagnosed me with eye inflammation rather than Ectropion which another specialist in town said I had. He wanted to performneedless surgery. I’m glad I found Dr Garcia for my second opinion. What a gem! I highly recommend her and am delighted with my results in her care. ???????

Dr. Palmer and his staff, especially Mackenzie go the extra mile to ensure patient satisfaction. They lobbied on my behalf to decrease the cost of my prescriptions.

My first visit to Southwestern Eye Center went very well. The "Check-In" kiosk was an interesting diversion and seemed to work quite well. One less employee to pay, just like McDonald's.

Southwestern eye center, takes care of your eye needs in a professional manner happy customer all the staff done good to answer my questions. I listened to there recommendations,and can see good again after cataract surgery A-plus.

I took my 98 year old mother and 95 year old stepfather to see Dr Palmeron Feb 23rd. My mother has a macular pucker which she has had many years and her vision is good. Dr Palmer wanted to operate on her - a woman who is almost 99. You do not put a woman of that age under a general anesthetic. I took her to get more opinions and we were told she doesn't need surgery. My stepfather has Glaucoma and nothing has changed since the last time he had his eyes checked. But, Palmer wanted him back in 6 mos. Uh, no way. We won't going back. Elderly beware! Always get a second opinion if you're not comfortable.

The good and the less good. Services are good overall! Doctor Palmer is good! Jared at the optical dept in Scottsdale is great! The less good - and I take ownership of my role in this - our pediatric vision benefits were in network with this group for the past 3 years, then they weren't this year. I did not know and they did not know - though when I called to book the appointment I asked them to confirm our coverage and was told it's all good. Then when we arrived at the office our coverage was checked and we paid a co-pay. All seemed fine. Then we find out we are no longer covered and had to pay for the visit after all which was over $200. It would have been $0 to $25 if we went elsewhere and if the coverage was checked in advance as requested and as it seemed to be. Again, I should have checked - had no idea things changed - and yet customer service could be better and that's an opportunity for the practice to improve.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I had my cataract surgery which went well. After 6 weeks, I went in for my checkup, afterwards, I ask for my prescription. They wouldn't give it to me, they wanted to charge me $52.00 to WRITE my prescription. I refused to pay it. After I left I found out that medicare pays for your glasses after cataract surgery. They did not tell me anything about that I can't help but wonder how many others were charged. I'm so done with this place.

Probably the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor's office. Whenever you call you are put on hold for 30 + mins, you cannot call the specific office directly but rather a support center. My first appointment was made a month in advance. Someone called me the day of my appointment letting me know that the specific doctor I was scheduled with is not authorized by my insurance to perform contact lens fittings. I received a voicemail and when I tried to call back I was put on a 30 min hold just to figure out if I was supposed to attend my appointment or not. This appointment was rescheduled and everything seemed normal with that. Doctor was friendly but office staff was terrible. Upon leaving, the office staff immediately asked me for payment before letting me put my contacts in so I could see. She did not try to schedule a follow up appointment or ask if I wanted to order contacts through them. However, the worst part of the experience is that they billed my insurance and me for the same exact thing. I called my insurance to confirm the amount I was to be responsible for and the amount that the office billed my insurance. I have been trying to contact this office for days since they are stealing money from people but I have yet to get through to anyone. Do not recommend and will never go back.

Horrible, terrible communication! When calling, can't get through to a person, and the recording offers a callback service when you finally get tired of being on hold, but they DONT CALL BACK. So you may try the patient portal for communication purposes, but I left four clearly stated messages with NO response after at least a week! Choose another office to save your sanity.

Dr. Palmer was able to squeeze me in on short notice to address a potentially serious eye problem. That’s rare, and I really appreciate that. His techs are all friendly and knowledgeable. During the visit, he was able to address my concerns and was very thorough! I highly recommend Dr. Palmer!
